Chapter 68: Baymax Rescue Mission

[Third Person's PoV]

Baymax's footsteps echoed down the vast, metallic corridor, each step a reminder of the armored behemoth's relentless pursuit. As he advanced, the walls around him seemed to come alive, with panels sliding open to reveal an array of deadly weaponry. Automated turrets swiveled to target him, their sensors locking onto his massive form. In an instant, the corridor was alight with the deadly glimmer of laser sights, and the whine of rockets priming to launch filled the air.

Without hesitation, the weaponry unleashed a furious barrage. Laser bullets zipped through the air with blinding speed, rockets roared from their launchers, and exploding bullets detonated in rapid succession. The corridor became a storm of destruction, all of it converging on Baymax.

Raising his forearm, Baymax activated a shimmering blue shield that materialized in front of him, projecting from a compact device embedded in his armor. The shield absorbed the full brunt of the assault, the force of the explosions pushing him back with each impact. The floor beneath his feet groaned as the armored giant held his ground, determined to protect those who relied on him.

As the barrage began to wane, Baymax deactivated the shield with a flick of his wrist. The corridor, now scarred and smoking from the relentless attack, was filled with the acrid scent of burnt metal and ozone. Baymax's eyes glowed with an icy blue light as he scanned the ruined walls, assessing the damage.

"Shields holding at 85% capacity," Baymax's calm, synthesized voice reported internally as he clenched his fists.

In one fluid motion, Baymax extended his hands, slamming his massive fists into the thick metal walls. With a surge of power, he released twin beams of intense energy from his palms. The repulsor beams cut through the air, their heat and force disintegrating the weapon systems embedded in the walls. Explosions erupted along the corridor as the once-menacing turrets and launchers were reduced to molten slag.

Baymax didn't pause to admire his handiwork. He turned his gaze upward, targeting the ceiling, which was bristling with hidden traps. He raised a hand and fired a sweeping repulsor blast, incinerating every weapon in its path. The corridor was now a smoldering ruin, the deadly threat neutralized.

Midway through the corridor, Baymax abruptly halted. His head swiveled to the left as his eyes glowed again, this time utilizing his advanced X-ray vision. His vision cut through the layers of metal, concrete, and wiring, scanning deeper into the structure until it focused on a distant room filled with cells. His sensors quickly locked onto two familiar faces inside one of the cells.

"Targets identified. Howard and Maria Stark located," Baymax announced. "Commencing rescue operation."

Without a moment's hesitation, Baymax surged forward, his powerful legs propelling him through the walls. The reinforced metal and concrete offered little resistance to his immense strength as he bulldozed his way toward the captured Starks. Each wall crumbled under his might, the debris scattering like paper as he ripped through the facility.

With one final thrust, Baymax crashed through the last barrier, emerging into the cell block. At the far end of the room, a large, ominous door burst open with a thunderous crash, revealing the towering figure of the man responsible for the Stark couple's kidnapping.

The man stepped into the room, his imposing frame clad in a dark, armored suit that glistened with a sinister mixture of black and red. His face was obscured by a silver helmet with a red visor, but Baymax's advanced sensors quickly scanned through the mask, analyzing the man's vitals and identifying him.

"Name: Kaito Horishi. Age: 28. Quirk: Strong Bones—enhanced bone density providing increased strength and durability," Baymax reported, his internal systems rapidly calculating the best method to neutralize the threat. "Calculating method to subdue target… Calculations completed."

Kaito's lips curled into a cruel smirk as he sized up the massive, armored hero before him. "So, this is what the boss meant when he said I'd be putting my skills to good use," he sneered, his voice dripping with confidence as he flexed his gauntlet-clad hands, the spikes on his forearms glinting ominously in the dim light.

Baymax responded by shifting into a combat stance, his advanced combat algorithms running thousands of simulations in milliseconds. His movements, though controlled and precise, exuded an air of quiet menace. "Objective: Protect targets. Neutralize threat," Baymax stated calmly, his voice unwavering as he prepared to engage the powerful adversary.

Tony and Melissa soared through the labyrinth of rooms, their sleek suits glinting in the dim, artificial light. The corridors were a blur as they moved at lightning speed, systematically dismantling the waves of goons that came their way. Each adversary had a different arsenal—some wielded swords with unnatural sharpness, others brandished high-tech cannon blasters, while the rest relied on powerful explosives designed to bring down even the most fortified targets.

But Tony and Melissa were not easily deterred.

Tony unleashed a barrage of energy blasts from his repulsors, expertly disabling enemies as he navigated the confined space. With each move, his suit adapted, calculating the best angles and force needed to incapacitate the attackers. A goon with a sword lunged at him, only for Tony to sidestep and deliver a punch so powerful that the man was sent crashing into the wall, where he slumped, unconscious.

Melissa was equally relentless, her suit glowing as it discharged repulsor beams from her palms and chest. She spun mid-air, evading cannon fire, and countered with precision strikes that sent their attackers reeling. Her movements were fluid and practiced, every blast from her suit calculated to maximize damage while minimizing collateral impact.

As they cleared another room, Melissa turned to Tony, her voice clear over their shared comm channel. "You need to go after the man who took your parents, Tony. Leave the rest to me."

Tony hesitated for a moment, his gaze flicking to the goons still pouring in. "Are you sure about this?" he asked, just as he delivered a powerful blow to another enemy, sending him flying across the room to crash into the wall.

Melissa dodged an explosion, her suit shielding her from the debris, and then fired back with a pulse of energy that incapacitated three attackers in one shot. "That's what partners are for, right? Just trust me to handle things here, like I trust you to take care of everything else."

Tony's lips curved into a small smile, "Alright, just stay safe."

"You too," Melissa replied, her focus shifting as Tony shot past her, heading straight for the heart of the operation.

As Tony left the room, a group of goons tried to follow, hoping to stop him from reaching their boss. But Melissa was quick to react. A small gun turret emerged from her shoulder plate, locking onto the approaching enemies. In an instant, it fired a specialized net that expanded mid-air, ensnaring the group in its tightly woven fibers. The moment the net tightened, it delivered a potent electric shock, knocking them all unconscious in one fell swoop.

With the goons incapacitated, Melissa paused for a brief second, watching Tony's figure disappear down the corridor. She took a deep breath, recalibrating her suit for the next wave of attackers. "Alright, let's finish this," she muttered to herself, her resolve steeled.

She flew forward, taking on more enemies, her mind focused not just on her own safety, but on ensuring that Tony had the clear path he needed to confront the mastermind behind their parents' abduction.

It didn't take Tony long to find the man responsible as he was at the entire center of everything. He stopped at the large metal door and blasted off its hinges with a unibeam from his chest.

"I'm going make you regret trying to make an enemy out of me" Tony said as he entered the room, his thrusters activated and dodged to the side avoiding a large red laser that destroyed everything in its path causing some of the metals to even be on fire.

Tony then heard someone click their tongue, when he looked towards the source he found the man wearing a similar but bulkier iron man suit except mounted on his shoulders were blasters which looked like railguns shining a red light as red electricity crackled from the tip of it.

"I was hoping to get you with that, but at the same time that's good, it just means you're the real deal, Tony Stark"

"You just love the sound of your own voice don't you?" Tony retorted with a sigh.

The man's suit whirred as he activated the second railgun, both weapons charging up with a high-pitched whine. Before he could fire, Tony dashed forward, closing the distance between them in a split second. He aimed a powerful repulsor blast at the man's chest, but the enemy deflected it with an energy shield that popped up from his forearm.

The force of the blast pushed the man back, but he quickly recovered, launching a barrage of missiles from his shoulders. The room exploded into chaos as the missiles homed in on Tony. With incredible agility, Tony dodged the incoming projectiles, weaving through the air with precision. Each missile detonated in midair, sending shockwaves that shook the entire facility.

Tony countered by launching his own micro-missiles, which zoomed towards the enemy in a coordinated attack. The man barely managed to block them with another energy shield, but the force of the explosions staggered him, creating an opening.

Not wasting a second, Tony activated his unibeam, unleashing a concentrated beam of energy from his chest. The beam struck the man's suit dead center, causing sparks to fly as the armor began to overheat. But the man gritted his teeth and fired both railguns simultaneously, the twin beams converging towards Tony with terrifying speed.

Tony crossed his arms in front of him, his suit's energy shields absorbing the brunt of the attack. The impact pushed him back, his feet digging into the ground as he struggled to maintain his stance. The sheer power of the railguns caused cracks to form in the ground beneath him, but Tony didn't falter.

"Enough games," Tony muttered, his voice hardening. With a swift motion, he deactivated his shields and surged forward, letting the railgun blasts slip past him. Before the man could react, Tony grabbed hold of the railguns and ripped them off the suit with a powerful wrench, sparks flying as circuits were torn apart.

The man staggered back, stunned by the sudden loss of his weapons. Tony didn't give him a chance to recover. He flew towards him at full speed, slamming a fist into the man's chest, denting the armor. The enemy stumbled back, but Tony followed up with a brutal combination of punches, each one denting and tearing the suit apart. Metal plates flew off, exposing the inner workings of the armor.

Desperately, the man tried to retaliate, throwing a wild punch at Tony. But Tony sidestepped effortlessly and delivered a devastating uppercut that sent the man crashing into the ceiling. The force of the impact shattered the overhead lights, plunging the room into darkness.

In the flickering light of sparking wires, Tony grabbed the man by the shoulder, lifting him off the ground. With a powerful pull, he tore the arm of the enemy suit clean off, wires and hydraulic fluid spraying everywhere.

The man screamed in rage and pain, struggling to escape. But Tony wasn't done. He lifted the man into the air and smashed him down onto the ground with a force that cratered the floor beneath them. The impact was so intense that the remaining pieces of the enemy suit shattered, leaving the man inside, battered and broken.

Tony stepped back, his armor barely scratched. He watched as the man struggled to move, his suit completely destroyed, leaving him exposed and defeated.

Tony's faceplate retracted, revealing his deadpan expression which he didn't even break a sweat. "You should've known better," he said coldly. "You never stood a chance against me"

The man, barely conscious, could only groan in response, his once powerful suit reduced to scrap metal scattered around the room.

"You're a fool if you think copying my suit would make you powerful or better than me. Honestly, did you really think using my own creation against me was the way to go?" Tony scoffed.

The man on the ground was breathing heavily from the pain of being tossed around. "You said I like the sound of my own voice, but do you even hear yourself, you hypocrite?"

"Oh, but of course I love the sound of my own voice. My mother once said I had the voice of an angel. By the way, you're lucky no harm came to her. If she had suddenly lost her baby because of your bullshit revenge, I would have killed you."

The man on the floor wore a horrified expression as he realized Tony was serious about his threat. "What kind of hero are you?"

"The kind of hero that doesn't take bullshit from you," Tony replied, taking a good look at the man in front of him. He had dark blue hair, but what fascinated Tony were the man's eyes. His irises were shaped like cogwheels, which was the whole reason Tony was even entertaining the conversation in the first place.

"Quirk Factor Scan complete, boss. Here's what else I've been able to find about our suspect," Friday said.

"Hold that thought, Friday," Tony said before looking back at the man on the floor. "Don't think I didn't see that injury on my father, fuckface," Tony said as he punched him in the face, breaking most of his teeth and nose, knocking him unconscious.

"Alright, Friday, you were saying?" Tony asked, flicking his wrist to shake off the blood.

Tony's mask returned to his face as Friday displayed the information she had found.

"Name: Taiyo Saiki

Age: 25

Quirk: Tech Vision—grants the user the ability to see mechanical structures, systems, and devices in intricate detail. With a mere glance, they can identify areas that need repair.

Awakening: In this advanced form, the user's vision expands to not only identify repairs but also visualize potential upgrades and enhancements. They can see how to optimize and improve devices, machinery, and even weapons, enabling them to innovate and create superior versions of existing technology."

"Tell me, Friday, is it possible to replicate this quirk factor? Or at least create a machine that replicates it?"

"Boss, why is that even a question? Isn't that one of the reasons you were studying quirk factors in the first place—to see if you could make suits to replicate them?"

"Heh, I wanted to hear you say it," Tony said with a smirk.
