Chapter 1Chapter 1

[This will be the only chapter posted till my other book's final chapter has been written and posted on P@treon, it's almost done.]

Jon Snow sighed as he watched everything from Winterfell. It had already been a week since everything had happened.

XXXXX-Flashback-XXXXXX

He had finished training with Theon and Robb, they walked through the Winterlands and saw some unknown men, they approached and heard a voice calling for help.

They quickly drew their weapons.

" What's going on?" Robb asked.

The men turned and saw a young woman standing there, half-naked. A look of fury took over the heir and he lunged at the men with his sword. They quickly moved, Jon drew his sword and attacked while Theon approached the woman and held her back.

Robb attacked mercilessly, it was when Jon saw a man approaching from behind, that he did not hesitate and attacked, he stuck the tip of his sword into the man's neck, his eyes glaring.

"First death" he muttered, eyes closed.

When he opened them he blinked, he wasn't in the North, there was nothing in the place, a spacious place, with a couple of tables, white walls, and a device on a table.

"Robb?" he asked.

The silence was deafening, he looked around, there were no doors, no windows, just four white walls, a couple of tables, and that device.

[T/N: I'm going to ignore the detail that a medieval can recognize a device, would have made more sense to call it a tablet, as in stones/metal, table.]

He approached it, it was square and he saw that there were letters on the device, thank the old gods he knew how to read, his father had forced him to learn, even though Lady Stark thought it useless to him. The boy shook his head and came closer to read it better.

Do you agree to enter the game?

Jon blinked.

He approached where it said yes and pressed it, the letters lit up and the screen changed, new phrases appearing.

"Magic?" he murmured.

The boy pressed the word, it lit up again.

Pressing next will go to the game menu.

Next.

The boy pressed the word again. This time everything lit up, a pain like an electric shock touched the boy's body and he fell to the ground, Jon gasped and got up, and more words appeared on the screen.

I want to know what the game is for.

Skill details

Everything you need to play

Very good…

The game is a system created by the Seven Magi, it is a system that takes the experience of the player and sacrifices it to obtain physical and magical abilities.

In order to play, the player has to level up.

The player has a maximum experience capacity to obtain, once the player obtains it, he'll be transported to the white room and sacrifices it to level up.

For each level, the player earns two skill points and a limited number of points of health, mana, stamina, and attributes.

Health determines the player's life.

The player will die if their health reaches '0'.

Mana indicates the player's magic points.

If the mana bar reaches '0' the player will be unable to use magic.

Resistance indicates fatigue points.

If the player reaches 0 they will be exhausted.

Attributes are impossible to measure,

The game creates an algorithm that approaches the appropriate amount, but it is not exact, so it is not possible to see the total amount exactly.

Attributes are the following:

Strength that is equivalent to the physical strength that the player possesses.

Vitality is the amount of health that the player has.

Resistance is the amount of resistance that the player has to damage,

Intelligence is the rate at which the player absorbs knowledge and the amount of mana that the player possesses.

Wisdom is the most effective way to use information and magical powers that the player owns.

The skills, from the basic level, come in three categories.

Physical, magical, and others.

If a player has only physical skills

The increase in attributes per level would be focused on strength, vitality, endurance, and to a lesser extent, wisdom and intelligence.

If instead, the player has a majority of magic skills, it would be the other way around.

Each skill also grants attributes, both physical and magical.

All skills have a maximum of nine levels.

And each level depends on the corresponding skill points.

For example, level 1 requires one skill point, 5 requires 5 points, etc.

To gain experience quickly it is recommended to do the following.

1: eliminate enemies.

2: use of skills.

3: create anything,

4: be rewarded for an action, such as a quest.

Everything generates experience.

Depending on the quality of the enemy, object, or prize, the points will be high or lower.

Jon nodded.

And went back to the skill screen.

" I'd love to do magic, but I have to think of something physical " he murmured.

And he quickly pressed a button.

You have selected the Swordsmanship skill.

Do you want to spend a skill point to buy the skill?

The boy pressed yes.

Swordsmanship skill level 1 has been acquired.

The screen disappeared and Jon felt pain all over his body.

"By the gods" the boy muttered, dozens of sword movements appearing in his mind.

All weapon skills improve speed, strength, and endurance.

Swordsmanship Level 1:

Cost: 15 mana.

Strong Attack: Gives an attack bonus.

" Shit, it hurts but it's incredible" Jon muttered in disbelief.

The boy shook his head.

" Now some magic, they all sound good, useful fire, useful water, shit I like them all... Pick one, let's just pick one... This one is good without a doubt, this is the one I like the most" the boy decided.

You have selected the summoning skill.

Do you want to spend a skill point to buy the skill?

The boy pressed yes.

Summoning level 1 acquired.

The room lit up again and Jon felt pain all over his body, but to a lesser degree. He laughed a little as he stood up and saw the message on the screen.

Summoning level 1:

You have several summons per level, summons can be animals or objects.

Level 1:

Cost: 10 mana

Animal:

Small fish (Random, no more than 10cm)

Small animal (Mouse, beaver, rabbit, crow)

Survival:

Piece of meat (Cow/Pig/Chicken/Fish), knife, carp, wood.

Everything creatures kill, gives the user experience.

"This is great" he murmured.

To leave the room press exit

He read it but wanted to try it all out first. He shook his head and remembered Robb, he was fighting alone.

He cursed under his breath, it had been at least an hour. He quickly pressed exit and the room lit up.

"Jon, get out of the way" the boy heard and opened his eyes to see Robb exclaim and saw a man with a sword coming towards him.

The boy reacted instinctively, taking a step back, and the man continued to fall. Robb blinked at the sight, and that was when the man fighting Robb lunged. Jon ran at an insane speed stopping his attack, while Robb fell to the ground.

" Strong Attack " Jon muttered, his sword lit up although the others didn't notice, it hit his enemies sword which made it leave the man's hands and fly into the air, he looked at him in surprise and couldn't avoid the next attack that pierced his stomach as he fell.

The last man ran away until an arrow hit him in the head, Theon put away his bow and approached.

"Not bad Snow, you practice in secret," said the arrogant one.

XXXXX-End of Flashback-XXXXX

He heard footsteps and turned to see Ned Stark.

" Are you sure? " Ned asked.

He knew what he meant, a few days ago he told him of his decision to go to Essos. What really awaits him in the future is the night's watch and he is happy with that, it is an honorable duty, but after acquiring his skills he wanted more, he wanted a name for himself, in the future he could go to the guard.

What better way to gain experience for skills than in Essos, with mercenary companies, markets, and so on.

The boy nodded.

" Say goodbye to your brothers," the man said.

Jon smiled.

" I've already given them gifts and everything," he said.

Ned Stark smiled at that.

" I guess buying them is one way to do it," he grinned.

Jon shrugged.
