Chapter 11 : Back To Grind

After coming back, meeting Hokage wasn't enough, I had to listen to quite a few things from both my uncle and aunt as well. Just like I thought, they were worried about me. But still, they gave me some slack as I was exhausted by the mission. Thought that didn't mean that I escaped the tongue-lashing which surely would come.

I just decided to not do anything for the time being, just rest.

After one day of doing nothing besides sleeping, eating and complaining about the lack of entertainment in this world, I sighed and was ready to go back to the grind. Of course, I won't be visiting Shikamaru's home any time soon, that would be another headache.

So no, I won't be going back there anytime soon. It's time to go back to Grind.

The next morning I was in front of the Konoha ninja Library. This wasn't the first place I came in the early morning, I originally wanted to talk with an Inuzuka. The problem was that I didn't know any other Inuzuka besides one.

Kiba Inuzuka.

So I went to the training ground 8 to meet him but he wasn't there. Ironically Konoha mark the training ground with numbers and to make things simpler assigns the team a training ground with the same number as their team.

That's why I went there in training ground 8 as Kiba was in team 8 with Hinata, Shino and Kurenai.

But he wasn't there, most likely on some mission. So coming here was my next best option. Here in the library, I can get something useful.

I learned from the last mission that I am highly inexperienced when it comes to real fights. Training alone and practising Kata's is not the same as fighting someone for real. Even sparing is better than training alone.

So I needed someone to spar with, no idea where I could find someone like that, maybe Guy and Lee, maybe.

But before I do that, I need to fix the obvious flaws in my taijutsu. I am here especially to get a suitable Taijustu style for me. The academy style is good but it's not suitable for me while the Nara don't have a particular style, they are not close combat fighters. They do have developed training styles based on many others' styles, but that's nothing specific.

I enter the place, and looking around it looks pretty empty, not many people seem to come here.

I read that only the ground floor was available for Genin's. To get better techniques, one has to be of higher rank. And even in that case, the Jutsu here are not that great.

Fortunately for me, I am not looking for Jutsu. When it comes to Taijutsu, there are a few styles which could be useful to me.

Took me half an hour to search around the place and finally find the right one.

Strong Fist Style, Swift Style and a few more.

While the others didn't attract my attention, the 2 Taijutsu clearly did. Because maybe others can't recognize style by names but I who have seen Naruto, can.

Strong Fist is Guy's Taijutsu Style.

And the swift style. What If I am not wrong this is the style that Minato Namikaze himself developed.

Now this is just me contemplating things but I believe in my Naruto knowledge.

But which is the best one for me?

I am not super strong and certainly can't focus all my attention on physical training. It's possible but I don't thing so that I can do that.

The swift release is better for someone like me in this regard. Though I am not that strong but I am slightly faster than others. Not to mention being fast in taking down enemies is more important for me than beating the enemy with brute force.

'Yeah, this could work, mostly working from the shadows, Capture them and quickly take people down. That could work.' I smile and memorize the style. This is a very common style in the village. Though nothing compares to the academy style. If I can make some changes in this technique with the help of a Taijutsu genius like Lee or Guy, I might be able to make a proper style for myself.

When it comes to Jutsu, well I needed none for the time being. I have many Shikigami's to exorcise before going after learning a powerful jutsu.

And it's not like I can get a good jutsu from here anyway. This library doesn't hold that kind of thing. Even in Chunin and Jonin levels, finding good jutsu gonna be hard.

I might be able to get something like Fire Ball or other C rank jutsu, yes fireball is C rank jutsu and in the hand of a master maybe B rank but that's it, but why waste time learning a Jutsu which never hits?

Honestly, if anyone has seen Naruto then they would know. That ball of fire is nothing but waste chakra. And I am even not sure what my chakra affinity is.

Anyway's no jutsu for the time being, and if I am learning then I rather put time into learning something good.

After getting out of the Library I went home, now knowing the current extent of my chakra. I knew that it its one shadow clone then I could afford to make it. But can let that clone work around the village. So I'm gonna make one clone at home and make him do Shadow Manipulation practice.

Even now my Shadow Manipulation was on the basic level, so I needed it to improve to the level that I could capture many people at the same time and increase the speed of my shadow moving around.

In the chunin exam, if only Shikamaru's shadow was faster then he could have captured Temari much faster without any outstanding planning on Shikamaru's path. Which I am a fan of but still I rather just have my shadow faster and stronger over coming up with an excellent plan out of my ass in all my fights.

Not like I can do something like that anyway, I am by no means Shikamaru Nara.

Leaving the Shadow Clone alone at home to do the training, I leave the place to do my own training. Mostly working on my Taijutsu.

After that I just went to train in the newly found Taijutsu style, I honestly just wanted to put a Shadow Clone on this but that won't do. Firstly the physical aspect can't be trained with Shadow Clones, not to mention I already have a clone working on Shadow Manipulation training, I can't make more than one clone anyway.

Okay for the time being let's not worry about that, my chakra also has limitations. But there are surely other ways that I can grow right. Like Genjutsu, Healing, Fuinjutsu, and Ken jutsu for close combat fighting. There is much to improve on.

But involving myself in something new, I first should master something I already have. While my clone works hard on shadow manipulation and I work on the taijutsu and shuriken jutsu, the only thing which is left right now is Ten Shadows.

That is my real power, my divine dogs did great but only having them is not enough. I need to form contract with other Shikigami's as well.

The simple once are of course Rabbit and Toads. But the rest are troublesome. Have to find a way to trap all of them. The rule is that I can't have anyone else in the excorcism ritual beside my already contracted shikigami's.

But I can decide where and when to start the ritual, that with already enough information about all the shikigami's from the anime, I can come up with some good traps to CATCH THEM ALL.
