Chapter 1

They often say that death is only the next great adventure, or so said Albus Dumbledore.

The old headmaster would be correct.

Raven Eveningshade could attest to that fact as he finished packing everything. Today was the start of his next journey. To become an adventurer. To see if he can make it big or come crashing down.

His outfit consisted of black boots, black pants, a black shirt and a blue jacket. A sword was attached to his hip. The last gift of his parents.

"I'm so proud!" Someone said before they hugged him tightly. Raven slightly rolled his eyes, but hugged them back.

This was Hera. The goddess of the now dead Hera familia. The former strongest familia of the era of adventurers. Once having a level 9 captain.

Now they all laid dead by the claws of the one eyed black dragon.

Focus!

She had raised him once his parents died in the attack against the calamity of the sky. He was forever grateful. For her raising him. For loving him. For caring for him.

"Thank you grandma." He said gently before they broke the hug apart. She was smiling at him. He was smiling too.

"I'm sure you'll do good. Remember to visit us sometimes, and send letters!" Hera said, but it was more like an order.

"Yes Kami-sama!" He said smirking and she smacked him on the head. Violent woman!

"Don't you get started. Now go, you want to head out before it gets too late." Hera said and with one last hug he departed the home he'd known for the last decade.

To return to his first home in Orario, but he couldn't use his old home. How annoying and sad. Shaking his head he left and was met with a buff old man and a white fur red eyed rabbit... oh that was just Bell. Who was 10 years old.

"Finally heading out huh? I'm sure you'll do well. Remember to do well and write to us sometimes." The old man said and leaned in whispering something into his ear as he passed him a letter while hugging.

"I will for sure grandpa. Will do." Raven said smiling before crouching down to match Bell's height.

"I better hear about you carrying your weight Bell. Wouldn't want our little hero slacking." Raven teased as Bell went red before hugging him and then running off.

"Hahahaha that kid. I guess he wouldn't be him without being like that." The old man, Zeus, laughed boisterously.

"Indeed." Raven said agreement before both looked serious.

"I was serious. If you ever need money or anything, you are keyed into the vault and you have that paper to prove your right. I'm sure Hera gave you the same thing. Just promise to write boy. I will miss you. Now go and find yourself." Zeus said happily at the end and both hugged and Raven walked off.

The village behind him getting smaller and smaller till he couldn't see it anymore if he looked back.

If he did, anyone would be able to see a small tear going down his cheek. He wiped it off and broke into a sprint. He had a long journey to arrive at Orario after all.

Raven had been on the road for a day and a half. He'd slain some surface goblins with relative ease. Hera had at least ensured he'd trained physically, so he was in a great condition.

However as he was waking down the path, he heard a scream of terror. True terror. Running he came upon the sight of a carriage group being attacked by surface monsters.

Goblins and Kobalds.

Merchants were arming themselves with whatever they could. Raven chucked a ruck he quickly grabbed off the ground at the head of a goblin attracting attention to himself.

"Hey ugly, why not pick on someone like myself?" Raven asked mockingly as he drew his sword and grinned as the monsters targeted him instead.

Blocking the tree branch being used as a weapon, he slashed quickly at the goblin cutting its head off as it perished into ash leaving behind a monster stone.

The remaining goblins and kobalds seeing him kill a goblin charged at him. Raven in quick succession ended their lives.

He either cut their heads off, or just stabbed the monster core inside of them.

Pleased with his work he collected the stones and approached the merchants.

"Thank you lad. Without your help, we'd probably be goners, or at the very least mostly all dead." The guy who looked in charge said gratefully. Everyone else also throwing in their gratitudes.

"It was no problem. Might I ask if you're heading to Orairo?" Raven asked and they did in fact confirm they were heading to Orairo.

"Would it be too much of a hassle to bother you all for a ride then?" Raven asked and the man laughed and told him to hop on after they checked all the carriages.

"You seeking to become an adventurer kid?" The same man asked, Raven found out his name was Bruce Wayne, he almost laughed, but held it in. Would be rude after all.

"Yeah. My mom and dad were adventures before they died. I want to make them proud and succeed." Raven said and the man smiled.

"Well I may not be one, but I think you're going to go far kid. If you do, I'll give you a 50% discount on all my wears if you shop with me." Bruce said cheerfully and Raven smiled.

"Deal old man. Don't go crying if you go broke." Raven laughed and Bruce joined him. Both making fun conversation for the ride to Orario.

"and that's how I made him think I was a villain for a whole three weeks." Raven said and Bruce laughed as they waited in line to get checked into Orario.

"That's hilarious kid." Bruce said amused.

"Next!" A guard called out and they pulled up.

"Bruce back again eh? Anything go wrong?" The guard asked.

"We were attacked on the way by some goblins and kobalds, but this young man came just in time." Bruce said and the guard glanced at Raven before smiling.

"That's good. Seeking to become an adventurer kid? Head to the guild and they can help you register. They handle almost everything there." The guard said as Bruce paid the entrance price, including Raven's as they went in.

"Thanks for the help Raven. This is my store? If I'm ever here drop by to say hi. The guild is just down that way. Just get to the giant tower and you can find it easily." Bruce said as he waved goodbye to Raven.

"Bye Bruce." Raven said before departing.

"Next!" Someone called out and Raven stepped forward in line to the counter. He had made it to the guild and hopped into a random line. They didn't have any identifying signs, so he assumed they handled whatever you need at any desk.

"Hello. I'd like to register as a citizen of Orario. Also as an adventurer." Raven said and the woman behind the desk, a red haired beauty wolf lady.

"Very well. I can help you with that. If you'd follow me." The woman said smiling as she called someone to take over her desk before she led Raven off after grabbing some forms.

"Apologies I forgot to introduce myself. I am Rose Fannett. Now, let us begin your citizenship paperwork." She said smiling as she held a clipboard with paperwork. He also introduced himself.

Then it was some information. Name. Birthdate. All that crap. He had to sign things, and he made sure to read every piece of paperwork to the dot. Rose seemed to approve of that.

"Now to become an adventurer I can register you, but you will need to join a familia before you can enter the dungeon." Rose said and Raven agreed to that. Some more paperwork was filled out.

"Will you be needing a guild advisor?" She asked and Raven denied that.

"No thank you. My parents wrote down information for me." He said and she nodded before they both stood up and left the room. Rose wished him well on his journey to acquire a god or goddess.

Raven sat a cheap restaurant eating a meal while thinking. Oh he wasn't poor, not at all, he actually had quite a nice sum of valis, he just preferred to be safe then sorry.

Focusing, he thought about how to acquire a deity to serve. He would have loved to serve under Zeus and Hera, but one they were both banished from Orario, the pricks, and two he couldn't do that to them anyway. He knew they couldn't handle losing anymore children.

He was pretty sure if he and Bell didn't exist, Zeus and Hera would have unleashed their arcanum and left genkai.

There were options. Oh was there options.

Freya, he could just bribe her with how her Odr's identity. Yet he didn't want to be in her familia with how they operated. He wasn't enamored with her.

Loki, he could probably get into with some bit of luck. Maybe a bit of bribery. He also had no desire to be with Loki who kicked out his family. Leading to Aunt Meteria dying due to the stress of that and childbirth.

He could remember her cheering in the background as they left. Her familia though looked saddened and depressed.

Apollo, but no thanks, he hated that disgusting god.

Miach. However he didn't feel like it.

Anyway, there were several deities he could join, but he didn't feel the call. The desire to join them. It just didn't exist. Oh he could push himself past it, but he didn't want to. Didn't seem right.

Pushing those thoughts off, he paid for his meal. Grabbing his things he left the restaurant and walked through Orario.

"Laaaaa!" He heard and turning around he was shocked for two reasons. One was a very familiar person, not in the regards he knew them, but in their appearance.

It was Tiamat from fate. An she was pointing at him excitedly. Second was the fact that he partially understood what she was saying.

"Found you-" was what he could understand.

"Me? Found me? I'm sorry, I can't really understand you." Raven said as she kept talking in the musical language.

"Laaaaa!" She said annoyed and he raised his arms in appeasement.

"By father you run fast my lady." Someone said panting as they arrived. Raven recognized them as a goddess. The goddess Demeter. Man she was gorgeous.

"Oh who's this?" She asked teasingly and Tiamat sang out a response.

"Oh? I see. My apologize child. This is Tiamat. She's a newer goddess who had descended. She felt no falna on you and was hoping you would join her familia." Demeter translated for him. Raven hummed in thought.

"Will I be obligated to do anything as a member of your familia? Beyond the norm that's expected?" Raven asked and she sang out a response.

"She says to love me and stay alive. Then do whatever you wish." Demeter translated and Raven grinned.

"You yourself a deal Lady Tiamat." Raven said and she sang happily as she hugged him. Raven enjoyed his time in boob heaven.

Raven found himself inside a small home. It was just him and Tiamat now. He was on his stomach on the only bed in the home. Guess he'd be sleeping on the couch for now.

"Laaaa." She said and he apologized for not staying still. He guessed that was it anyway as he stood perfectly still. The pleased sound made him guess he was correct.

"Laaaa!" She said as she tapped his back again and he could feel the difference in his strength now. It wasn't much greater, but still beyond something most non blessed could achieve without another form of power.

Handed a paper he looked at it and smiled. He was officially an adventurer.

Raven was suprised at the skill, but he wanted to know what the alien mindset part was, but he guess it was a state of mind, or perhaps it wasn't and just a cool name for some ability. Who knows.

"Amazing. As expected of my child!" Raven heard before he was hugged. He paused.

"I can understand you!" Raven said and she squealed as she hugged him tightly.

"Repeat after me." Tiamat said and Raven was forced to repeat after her.

He became aware that he heard her singing instead of saying words, but he somehow was translating that.

Perhaps that was what alien mindset was?

So hello everyone!

This is a sorta rewrite of my [Is It Wrong To Cheat In A Dungeon?] story. Not fully since I've changed basically everything, so it's not really a rewrite is it?

Honestly, the only things similar are the MC and his spontaneous personality because I can't write a proper personality lmao.

Anyway, I'm regards to the pairings as I'm sure many might be curious about that.

Freya is not part of the harem. She will instead be his fangirl, but in a friend type of way. You'll understand whenever I start getting around to that point. Shouldn't take toooooo long, but still sometime for it to happen.

By popular request I've decided of Riveria. I do like her, but expect some changes to her personality since it's fanfiction, but I'll try to keep the personalities partially canon at least to my best effort.

By my own choice, I'm adding Tiamat to the harem, because why else would I add her? Plus I wanted to use her as an opportunity to build a familia up from the ground. It won't be big, I gotta keep track somehow right? However it's going to have a few members who I'll slowly introduce one I get the story going.

I've yet to decided who to add further into the harem.

So far it's, Riveria and Tiamat. I'm not sure who to add in as the third person to close it off, any suggestion would be appreciated, but keep it to danmachi, and at least slightly well known so I have a base to work with.
