ch47 < Task >

I woke up early to prepare gifts for Sasha and Misha for their birthdays. Using Hihiirokane, empowered by my magicules, I forged two weapons.

One was a wand, the other a sword.

The wand featured a sleek, silver shaft adorned with intricate golden patterns. At its tip, a radiant blue gem glowed with intense energy. This wand granted its user the ability to manipulate space and gravity while also increasing the user's stats and mana capacity.

The other weapon was the Inferno Edge, a sword both fearsome and symbolic of the wielder's command over fire. It possessed the ability to control inferno fire and granted tremendous healing power.

It took a full day to forge these weapons, and I joined class after the lunch break. Most people didn't bother to notice.

Sasha and Misha had both tried to contact me, but I was busy. I was sure they might be worried or at least a bit angry.

I reached Misha and Sasha, who were chatting while sitting on a bench and holding hands.

Using Mirage Walk, I canceled my presence and secretly startled them.

Their reactions were immediate; they became alert but soon calmed down when they saw me. They then looked at me with sparkling eyes.

"Morning, Sasha and Misha. Didn't you miss me?" I said, hoping to ease any tension.

Sasha crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. "Where were you for the whole morning?" she demanded.

Misha nodded in agreement, her quiet demeanor masking a hint of concern.

"Well, I was busy doing some work," I replied mysteriously, trying to maintain the element of surprise. They kept pressing for details, but I gave half-hearted answers.

Sasha pouted, her tsundere side showing. "You're being so secretive. It's annoying!"

I chuckled and pulled her cheek gently. "Patience, Sasha. You'll see soon enough."

I then gave Misha a quick peck on her lips. She turned a little red while Sasha looked around to make sure nobody saw us.

"We were worried, you know," Misha said softly, her eyes full of concern.

"I know, and I'm sorry," I said, holding both of their hands. "But trust me, it was worth it."

"We're your girlfriends, Karna," Sasha said, her voice softening. "We deserve to know where you are. You could have at least told us you'd be late."

"Yes. I'm sorry, but I was busy buying some precious metals."

"Metals? For what?" Misha asked.

"Well, nothing. I'm just getting into a little bit of forging," I replied, trying to keep the surprise.

Sasha huffed, but her irritation melted away. "Fine. But you better make it up to us."

"Of course," I said, smiling. "Now, let's focus on the dungeon exploration. We need to be prepared."

"What happened in class today?" I asked, trying to shift the conversation.

Sasha sighed. "We covered some basic spell formulas. Nothing too exciting."

"dungeon exploration," Misha added quietly.

"Everyone's looking forward to it," Sasha added. Sasha then explain about dungeon exam.

"I'm glad I didn't miss anything too important," I said. "Let's make sure we're ready."

Sasha nodded, her eyes still sparkling with a mix of love and irritation. "You're right. But you better not disappear on us again."

"I won't," I assured them, squeezing their hands.

As we were talking, Anos came and stood in front of me, looking suspiciously.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, glancing at Anos.

I then created a sound barrier to protect us from eavesdropping, startling the girls.

"Don't worry, girls," I reassured them.

"Are you sure?" Sasha asked, eying Anos warily.

I nodded at them. "You can ask what you want. Is it related to Avis necron ?"

"Why are you talking about one of the Seven Elders?" Sasha asked, crossing her arms.

"Well, he was planning on stopping us from completing your origins."

"Why?" Misha asked quietly.

"Since he separated you so you could become a vessel for the Demon King of Tyranny," I replied.

"And what did you do to Avis-sama?" Sasha asked, her voice tinged with concern.

"Just beat him and handed him over to Anos," I said, pointing at Anos.

"What?" Sasha and Misha said simultaneously.

"About that," Anos began, his tone serious, "I've sensed three sources from Avos. One was Eugo La Raviaz, and one was a demon hostile with me. I have some questions for you," he said, looking at me with a hint of hostility.

"What? Why would he answer you? And what right do you have?" Sasha demanded.

"I'm the Demon King of Tyranny, so of course, it's related to me," Anos said.

"There you go, speaking nonsense again," Sasha said, rolling her eyes.

"Sasha, remember when I said that Avos Dilhevia is fake?"

"So, you're saying he might be the Demon King?" Sasha said, shocked.

"Yes," I replied, then turned towards Anos. "His source is special. I sensed a great amount of Destruction from him, enough to destroy several layers of the Silver Sea."

"What?" Misha said, her expression mirroring Sasha's shock.

"Are you joking?" Sasha said.

"Quite the deduction power, and you know about the Silver Sea," Anos said. "Then I presume you are from another world."

"Yes, that's true," I replied honestly.

"Then are you related to Avos Dilhevia?" Anos asked with an intimidating tone.

Sasha glared at him and activated her magic eyes, but they had no effect on him.

"What? No effect?" Sasha said in disbelief.

Misha and Sasha stood, ready to fight.

"Nice magic there. It's barely at the level of demons from the mythical age," Anos said, beginning to activate his magic eye.

"Stop," I shouted. "Don't fight here."

They stopped, looking at me.

"Anos, if we fight, I don't think this world can withstand it," I said.

"Now that I think about it, you're right. I don't want to kill my kin," Anos said. "But my questions remain unanswered."

"I can answer your questions, but you need to prove that you are the Demon King of Tyranny," I said, and both sisters nodded.

Anos looked baffled. "How can I give proof?" he thought.

Seeing his reaction, I replied, "Just show your magic eyes of Destruction. From what I know, those eyes are the signature of the Demon King of Tyranny."

"You are quite informed," Anos said.

"Well, your stories were moderate," I replied.

He then showed his magic eyes. Ruins formed in his eyes.

"How did you get those eyes?" Sasha asked, shocked, while Misha's eyes widened slightly.

"So, you are the Demon King of Tyranny," I said.

"Are you sure?" Misha asked.

"Yes, with the amount of bottomless mana he has and now the magic eyes of Destruction, I'm sure he is the real Demon King," I confirmed.

"The Demon King of Tyranny was both benevolent and cruel whose aim was peace for demon realm. But with Avos, the demon realm has divided into nobles and hybrid demons. Soon it might lead to civil war ."

"It is indeed true, but it's still difficult to believe," Sasha said.

"So, about your questions. I can tell you, but I also have a request," I replied.

"Hoo. What request?" Anos asked.

"Just teach me one of your deep magic or your strongest destruction spell," I said.

He thought for a moment and then replied, "Okay, one deep magic spell, but you'll answer my questions honestly."

"Okay, then teach me Dogda Azbedara," I said.

"What? How do you know about that spell?" Anos asked, surprised.

"Secret. Now ask what you want," I said.

He sighed, realizing that I might not be his enemy. "Do you know who Avos Dilhevia is?" he asked.

"Well, I did some research and tried to collect information, but I can guess that Avos is a Child of God," I replied.

"God?" Misha said, shocked.

"If Avos Dilhevia is a god, then why are we calling him the Demon King?" Sasha asked.

"Are you sure Avos Dilhevia is a Child of God?" Anos asked.

"Well, I tried to collect information about Avos. My clone came into contact with Eldmed Ditigeon, but it seems Nosgalia is in his body. So, there are chances he is involved in the fake Demon King story," I said, telling a white lie.

Anos then recalled trying to make a child with Reno. "This might be possible," he said.

"why everyone believe in a fake ?" Misha asked.

Sasha crossed her arms, still looking skeptical. "So, you're saying that the whole demon realm has been deceived for years?"

"It's not that simple," I said. "There are layers to this deception, and many have been manipulated to believe in Avos's legitimacy."

"And you think Nosgalia is behind it?" Anos asked, his eyes narrowing.

"Partly," I admitted. "But there could be others involved. The scope of this deception is vast."

Misha, who had been quietly listening, spoke up. "If Avos is a god, what does that mean for us? For the demon realm?"

"Pretty much everyone been pawns in a much larger game," I said softly. "But knowing the truth is the first step to changing things."
