Chapter 25 Fishing

Daryl nodded, understanding what More meant without further explanation.

I looked around, trying to find something suitable, but there was nothing available on the street.

Daryl thought for a moment and saw a zombie lying nearby, so he took out a dagger and went straight over to chop off the corpse's hand.

"What...are you doing?" Glenn took two steps back nervously.

Daryl looked at him without saying anything, raised his already rotten hand, aimed slightly, and threw it out.

The palm fell next to a few zombies without making a loud sound, but the zombies noticed it and staggered towards the palm.

Mor smiled and explained proudly, "Attracting prey, my brother is an expert at this. In some ways, zombies are similar to wild beasts.

But compared to wild beasts, zombies are stupider. They are attracted by sounds, by living things, and even by fire."

Glenn frowned and thought, and said in confusion, "This is a bit unscientific. The bodies of the zombies have decayed to this extent, but why don't their eyes, noses, and ears lose their functions?"

"Who the hell knows? You must be crazy to be talking about science with zombies." Moore curled his lips in disdain.

Daryl continued to attract the zombies. Seeing that those zombies had left the main group, he set up a crossbow and shot a zombie to death with one arrow.

This type of military crossbow has extremely high requirements for the crossbow arrows, and because the tension is too high, even paired crossbow arrows can easily be shot apart if used too many times.

Daryl now had only five crossbow arrows left. He shot the zombies to death, then crouched down and walked forward to pull out the arrows.

Then it retreated back to its original position and continued to attract zombies. The slight sound could only attract three or four zombies standing together at a time.

Although it seems inefficient, it is safe, and hundreds of zombies can be dealt with in just a few dozen times.

"Let's go help too," Sean said.

"No, you need to get close to use the dagger, which may alert other zombies. I'll do it."

Daryl said calmly as he used the remains of the zombies to attract the zombies.

"The five senses of these guys have actually degraded a lot. Although they can see, hear, and even smell, these are not as good as normal humans."

"This... is impossible." Glenn was a little incredulous. "Then how come their reactions are so sharp that they can see people from a long distance, just like sharks seeing blood."

"Hahaha, I agree with that." Moore laughed, "But compared to sharks, I think this damn zombie is more like a wild dog, a wild dog that sees shit."

"Um..." Glenn reminded weakly, "Your metaphor makes you look like shit too."

"Shit, Korean guy, what did you say!"

When Moore glared at him, Glenn instantly became intimidated and shrank his neck.

"Okay, More, stop messing around and help me." Daryl said lightly.

"Okay." Moore smiled and took over the job of throwing things to attract the zombies.

Glenn volunteered to help Daryl collect the crossbow arrows.

Sean and T were holding guns and looking around vigilantly. Everything was going on track. If nothing unexpected happened, the zombies here could be cleared out in a few hours.

But no one noticed that in a six or seven-story building on the street, there was a person holding a telescope and watching Sean and his companions' every move.

"Tom, go tell the boss, if they continue like this, these zombies will be completely wiped out."

The man holding the telescope is a thin white man, and the one called Tom is a fat man, and they are both in this room.

Tom lay on the sofa without moving, and said impatiently, "How can so many zombies be cleared out? If they can really be cleared out by others, it is not something we can deal with."

"Damn it." Joey put down the binoculars. "There are only a few people on the other side. They are trying to cheat. Go tell the boss quickly. Do you know how long the boss has been watching this police station?

If something unexpected happens, I guarantee that the boss will cut off your fat pig head and kick it like a ball."

"Fuck." Tom cursed inwardly. Although he was reluctant, he still got up obediently and trotted out of the room.

Joey picked up the telescope again and looked at Sean and the others nervously, "Shit, God bless the boss and the others to come soon."

Sean and the others were completely unaware of all this and had no idea that danger could strike at any time.

After more than half an hour, the zombies on the streets had been cleared away, and their bodies covered the entire street.

The remaining zombies are at the other end of the street and are not so easy to attract.

"We need to get closer," Glenn said in a low voice.

"If we get any closer there will be no cover and we will be easily discovered by those zombies." Sean frowned slightly.

During this period of time, the few of them have advanced some distance, from the street corner at the beginning to hiding behind several scrapped cars on the street.

"Let's take a break first. This distance is not a problem for Moore." Daryl put the crossbow on his shoulder and lit a cigarette.

"Of course, there's no way Uncle Moore would let me down. I still have your support, brother." Moore took the cigarette box thrown by Daryl, took out a cigarette and lit it himself.

Then Moore handed one to Sean, Glenn and T-boy each.

Although Moore is racist, his attitude towards T and Glenn is much better now.

After all, they have fought side by side, and for men, they are comrades-in-arms.

Although More's relationship with them had not reached that level yet, he would not mock them casually.

When Sean saw this scene, he couldn't help but smile, lit a cigarette, leaned against the car, and stretched leisurely.

Glenn didn't take the cigarette from Moore, "Thank you, but I'm sorry, I don't smoke."

"Take it." Moore glared, "Uncle Moore gave it to you because he thinks highly of you. Don't you think highly of me?"

Having said that, Glenn had no choice but to accept it, "That's not what I meant, but I really can't smoke."

"What kind of man are you if you don't smoke? If you don't know how to smoke, then learn. Master Moore will teach you."

Moore lit the cigarette for Glenn without any explanation and put it in his mouth. "Now, just smoke it."

Glenn tried to take a sip, and instantly, "Cough cough cough..."

Moore quickly covered Glenn's mouth and said, "Silly boy, don't attract the zombies here."

Glenn reacted and nodded quickly, trying to suppress his voice.

However, a few zombies were still attracted over. Fortunately, there were only a few of them, and the few people were not completely exposed.

Daryl took another long drag on his cigarette, threw the butt on the ground, picked up the crossbow, and said, "Let's get started."
