Leila and Xavier left the scene quietly. 

However, the chaos was just beginning in the Smith family. John Smith did not know the seal on the monument had been lifted, but he felt a little off as he thanked the police and the firefighters. 

He also asked the reporters to vacate his property with help from his guards. He knew the news about the events of the night would be on the headline the following day, but he hoped his story would mitigate the damage. 

Finally, he could only submit to the request of the police and have his first wife's body removed. He called an ambulance as instructed by the officers, so the body could be transferred to a mortuary. 

He instructed them to handle the body with care. The medical personnel probably thought he wanted to continue preserving the corpse due to his past love. However, his true intention was to prevent damage to the monument.
