Chapter 56: Maybe We Could Try Dating

Seeing that Ambrosio seemed genuinely angry, William quickly tried to appease her, "Alright, alright, I apologize, Alessandra. You are so charming. Ever since I first saw you in a magazine, I was captivated by you. And today, seeing you in person, I couldn't help but follow you. Alessandra, may I have the honor of inviting you to dinner?"

"Hmph, don't even think about it. I haven't forgiven you yet, William," Alessandra Ambrosio replied indignantly.

"Alright, my lovely, beautiful Alessandra, what do I need to do to earn your forgiveness?" William moved his chair a bit closer.

Noticing that Alessandra didn't object to him sitting closer, William knew that she didn't dislike him. She was just holding onto her pride because he had made her wait and then tricked her.

After thinking for a moment, Alessandra said, "You can play tennis with us. You alone against me and my friend."

William rubbed his forehead, "That's not fair. I'm definitely going to lose. How could one person beat two? We need to choose a different competition."

"Haha, that's exactly the point. You have to lose, and if you do, you have to spend the afternoon showing me and my friend around Nassau, being our guide," Alessandra laughed, imagining the brilliant William Devonshire playing the role of her guide.

"But what if I win, Alessandra? It wouldn't be fair if I lose and become your guide, but gain nothing if I win," William countered.

"Then if you win, I'll be your guide. I've been in Nassau for a few days now and know the place well. I can definitely show you around better than you could on your own," Alessandra replied.

"Okay, it's a deal, Alessandra," William agreed.

He snapped his fingers to call over a waiter and, following the waiter's directions, went to a sports store to pick out tennis clothes, shoes, and a racket.

Watching William's sudden enthusiasm, Alessandra began to suspect she had been tricked again. Maybe he was really good at tennis?

This thought made Alessandra a bit uneasy. She silently cursed William, "This guy is really cunning. How can he be so deceptive?"

After changing into his tennis outfit, William greeted Alessandra's friend. Once they introduced themselves, Alessandra's friend began to look at William differently. Meeting a billionaire wasn't an everyday occurrence, though she felt a bit frustrated since William's attention was entirely on Alessandra.

When the game began, Alessandra's friend deliberately made frequent mistakes, and William easily won two out of three sets. Alessandra frowned and pouted, annoyed that William didn't show them any mercy.

After sitting down and ordering drinks, William said, "Alessandra, you have to keep your word and be my guide. I never expected to have such a beautiful guide while relaxing in Nassau."

Alessandra gave her friend a reproachful look, thinking, "If it weren't for her trying to impress William, I wouldn't have lost."

"Hmph, I always keep my word. I'll go change now. Meet me in the hotel lobby in two hours," she said, then grabbed her friend and walked off without waiting for William's response.

William shook his head at the reluctance of Alessandra's friend to leave, finding her attitude unappealing.

William called the waiter to settle the bill and, with the help of a hotel staff member, found his ocean view room. He requested the front desk to send up a set of Versace clothes since he only brought his wallet and no change of clothes.

After spending half an hour getting ready and enjoying a light lunch, William took a short nap. At 2:50, he arrived at the hotel lobby and soon saw Alessandra Ambrosio approaching, wearing a knee-length blue dress with light makeup, looking absolutely stunning.

William was mesmerized, staring at her with a dazed expression.

"You're so beautiful, Alessandra. I feel like you've captured my heart. If I never see you again, I wouldn't know how to go on. Alessandra, you're simply enchanting," William said, full of admiration.

Alessandra covered her mouth, laughing softly, her eyes sparkling with joy.

"You sure know how to talk, William. I'm not as good as you say," Alessandra replied modestly.

"No, no, no. I mean every word, Alessandra. You're the most beautiful. I think Victoria's Secret should invite you to walk their runway this year."

Alessandra gasped, "That's impossible. I'm not qualified for Victoria's Secret yet."

"Everything is possible, Alessandra. You're amazing, and as long as you appear in the media a few more times and build your reputation, you'll surely get there," William encouraged her.

"But I don't have the means to get media attention," Alessandra said, feeling dejected. "There are so many beautiful girls in the modeling world. Without a top designer to promote me, it's hard to become famous in the fashion industry. William, you're teasing me again. You're really annoying, making me lose interest in exploring."

Seeing Alessandra's mood dampen, William gently reassured her, "You might not have the means, but I do. You know I'm quite famous in England. Soon, all of Europe might know me. Perhaps I can help you gain fame."

"How would you help me, William?" Alessandra's eyes lit up with hope.

William chuckled, "Alessandra, you just need a chance to get noticed. We could spend time together in England publicly. The paparazzi will surely take pictures of us. Once the media knows about you, your beauty and great figure will get you noticed. Soon, top designers will be paying attention to you. You'll be famous in no time, Alessandra."

Alessandra gave William a thoughtful look, "Haha, William, maybe we should try dating for a while. I know you're not so kind as to help me without a reason," she said, drawing circles on his chest with her finger.

William, seeing the suggestive look in Alessandra's eyes, knew she was smart and aware of the lengths models would go to climb the ladder in their industry.

Taking her hand gently, William said, "Then, my beautiful Alessandra Ambrosio, shall we go for a walk? Maybe we'll encounter those people you hope to meet."

Alessandra sweetly replied, "Alright, Mr. William Devonshire."

Holding hands, they walked out of the hotel, looking like a perfect couple, undoubtedly making many men at the hotel envious.
