Once inside, Shane found it hard to put up a smiling face. How relaxed he had been for the last week and here Nina was back.
She was expecting him to take her back. What was she thinking of him?
Was he a fool?
"Shane! Son!" his father spoke in a hushed tone.
"She… she is back, Dad," his hand trembled a little and Miles caught his hand in his strong grip, "Bring a smile to your face, right now, Shane Sinclair," He instructed him firmly.
"Dad!"
"Shane! Do what I'm asking," he spoke through clenched teeth, keeping an easy-going smile glued to his face.
"Ok!" Shane spread his lips into a forced smile, "Now what? I can't stay here anymore."
"That's good!" Miles also smiled openly, "Say quick goodbyes to your guests and then leave," Miles hugged his son.
Shane closed his eyes to control his emotions, "Fine. I'll do it."
He met each of his guests and told them, he needed to leave for some tasks.
