Would Slytherin experiment on students?
Andy had to admit that Hermione was definitely a professional when it came to blackening Slytherins. She was almost second only to Malfoy, Snape, Harry, and Ron.
Malfoy and Snape are the main strength for Slytherin to attract hatred, while Harry and Ron would blacken Slytherins on a daily basis, as for Hermione well ... with her muggle-born position, it is doomed that the little witch won't prefer Slytherin.
This House was miserable.
"Who knows?"
Andy said casually, "A thousand years ago, we can only guess based on clues."
Hermione rolled her eyes, she was just saying it casually.
"Actually, Slytherin isn't all bad."
Hermione said, "Take Professor Snape, for example. He was a Death Eater, but he chose the right path eventually. Moreover, Professor Snape is very knowledgeable and responsible in his classes."
"If he really chose to go undercover to Voldemort's side, I think Professor Snape is definitely a great wizard."
Andy raised an eyebrow at that.
If you consider the deeds regardless of his intentions, Snape was indeed not bad at all.
Andy felt that Snape and Dumbledore were very similar, they were both very ambitious people when they were young. But for the love of their hearts, they gave up their ambitions.
This might also be the reason why Dumbledore trusted Snape!
After gossiping about Hogwarts up and down, an hour and a half passed quietly.
The quill stopped, and the three books landed on the table in turn.
"The translation is done."
Andy couldn't wait to flip open his notebook, and Hermione stuck her head over. Andy placed the notebook between the two and read it with Hermione.
After reading two or three pages, Hermione suddenly glanced at Andy, "It's a book on dark magic."
The young witch was a bit disinterested.
Perhaps it was her heart for justice, or perhaps she was influenced by her surroundings, Hermione had always regarded dark magic as a scourge, and usually would not read books in this area at all.
"Dumbledore and Snape are both dark magic masters."
Andy explained while reading the book, "Dark magic is not as scary as people think, dark wizards are dark wizards and dark magic is dark magic, the two cannot be generalised."
Hermione didn't agree with Andy's words, she retorted, "I've read in books that dark magic will guide people's minds into darkness."
But despite saying that, Hermione didn't stop Andy from continuing to read.
In the eyes of the little witch, Andy was different.
Hermione felt that in terms of Andy's magic talent, learning dark magic would not cause Andy's mind to fall into darkness.
Besides, Andy wasn't a good person to begin with.
He would not be that bad even if he turned evil.
"Only by delving deeper into dark magic."
Andy said, "And not all dark magic taints the mind with darkness."
Hermione plopped down on the table, "Never mind! Read it yourself, I'll take a break."
"Okay! Don't fall asleep, we'll head back in a bit." Andy said softly.
"Mm!" Hermione answered.
Due to the time constraints, Andy just skimmed through it roughly and didn't study it in detail.
After about half an hour or so, Andy closed the notebook.
It was true that this book contained a lot of dark magic, but the theories behind those dark magics, almost all of them, were related to the human body.
This book should just be a reference book for magic transfiguration.
"Hermione?" Andy tapped Hermione's shoulder.
"Hmm?"
Hermione raised her head, rubbed her eyes, and asked, "Andy, have you finished reading it?"
"Roughly skimmed through it. Let's go back, it shouldn't be twelve yet." Andy said.
Hermione stretched, "You're on your own later! Remember to let me know if there are any normal spell books."
"OK!" Andy said with a raised eyebrow.
Back in his dorm room, Andy put his notebook away carefully before lying down on his bed and drifting off to sleep.
***
The next morning, Andy received a letter from his grandfather, Norman Collins.
Don't look at the fact that Norman Collins was now wide and fat, and his spell-casting ability had long been returned to Hogwarts, but he had done smuggling business when he was young and had quite a lot of connections in the black market.
If Andy wanted to deal with the basilisk, he could only do so through Norman Collins' network channels.
Norman brought Andy good news in his reply letter.
Half a basilisk can be sold casually, and the price is absolutely beyond Andy's expectations.
But the premise is that Andy really has... half a thousand-year-old basilisk in his hand.
Norman's reply letter filled a piece of parchment.
A small paragraph in front mentioned that he could sell the basilisk, and a large paragraph behind it, all questioning whether Andy was bragging.
"This old man ... shouldn't be bragging, right?" Andy also had some doubts, about Norman, that old guy is really too unreliable.
He thought I was bragging, but in fact, there is no basilisk at all, so he bragged that he could sell it ... and thus show off his connections?
"Well ..."
It's not like that's not a possibility!
Andy slapped his forehead and prepared to write another letter to Norman to confirm with him one last time.
If there is a shipping channel for the basilisk, Andy would also completely let go of his worry.
This year was indeed a year of gains, and everything was moving in a good direction. Next, as long as there was another Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Andy felt that his second year would really be perfect.
The first class this morning was Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Lockhart bragged from the podium for a full half hour.
He said that he had captured dozens of dark wizards and that if he had been in Azkaban that night, he could have defeated the Death Eater with just one magic spell.
The young wizards below were drowsy from listening.
It had been a month since the school year started, and everyone knew what kind of person Lockhart was. No matter how well he talked, no one would even believe him.
Lockhart was oblivious to this.
For the next half of the class, Lockhart prepared to show the students how to defeat the Death Eaters.
Lockhart gazed around the room, and his eyes immediately lit up when he saw Andy.
Lockhart remembered that Andy was his little fan.
"Mr Collins, would you please come to the stage?"
Andy: "..."
Andy took a deep breath.
What are you up to, do you want to challenge me?
Hermione looked at Andy and then looked up at Lockhart ... The little witch suddenly closed her eyes and mourned for Lockhart for three seconds in her heart.
The other young wizards also immediately burst with energy.
Especially Slytherin's Malfoy knew what kind of person Andy was, and he felt that Andy might give Lockhart a hard time.
Andy walked up to the podium with an expressionless face, "Professor!"
Lockhart looked excited, "Mr Collins, please take out your wand. Yes, you're going to play Death Eater now. Take out your wand, and you can initiate one attack on me."
"Don't be afraid, Mr Collins ... you won't be able to hurt a hair on my head."
