Chapter 75 Is this the Ravenclaw culture?

"Overnight?" Andy was shocked, disbelief written all over his face.

But on second thought, this is the wizarding world, and whatever happened, it didn't seem to be worth making a fuss about.

Like in the Muggle world, the wizarding world also had countless legends and tales. Hogwarts, a thousand-year-old castle, has even buried countless secrets.

But to find them, you first have to sort out which stories are true and which ones are false.

Ravenclaw did have a library in the common room that was left behind by Rowena Ravenclaw.

However, within the Ravenclaw House's library, there weren't too many books that introduced magic, it was more about cultural and human heritage stories, legends and tales, and so on, books that were used as a pastime.

After all, Rowena Ravenclaw was one of the four founders of Hogwarts, so she couldn't show too much favouritism towards Ravenclaw House.

So Andy had never had much interest in those books.

But it was different when someone had actually read all the books in the library in one night.

Andy took the book that Hermione had brought and flipped through it carefully.

The book didn't introduce much, just a few lines, roughly recounting the deeds of that lucky man who had read all the books in the collection in one night.

More than that, it was still filled with speculations about the Ravenclaw herself.

For example:

What exactly did Rowena Ravenclaw leave behind?

What kind of magic caused this?

Are there any secrets hidden in the Ravenclaw House library?

Was Rowena Ravenclaw trying to find an heir this way?

The book speaks volumes, and it mentions that Salazar Slytherin left a Chamber of Secrets right in Hogwarts in an attempt to use the creature in the chamber to purge the castle of those unworthy of learning magic.

The Chamber of Secrets was also opened fifty years ago.

A student died at Hogwarts as a result, and the previous Headmaster, Armando Dippet, resigned as a result.

By extension, it was clear that Rowena Ravenclaw had not left the library behind without a purpose.

More than that, the author of the book speculated that all four founders of Hogwarts had left something behind in the castle, waiting for future generations to go and find it.

"Andy, do you think it's true?"

Hermione said with an excited look on her face, "I've already read about this in two books, and many books have mentioned the Chamber of Secrets left behind by the Slytherin."

"How do I know?" Andy said while flipping through the back pages of the book, and then closed the book with a bored face.

Couldn't look away.

"But we could go to the library tonight."

Andy suggested, "The library is in the common room, so it's not exactly a night out, is it?"

Hermione nodded.

There was a flash of excitement in the young witch's eyes, and the adventure factor in her bones seemed to have awakened.

***

Midnight.

The Ravenclaw common room was empty.

Andy walked out of the boys' dormitory in his pyjama, sat on the sofa and waited for a while before he saw the little witch, fully armed and sneaky, pushing open the door of the girls' dormitory.

The little witch revealed a head and was relieved to see Andy alone in the common room.

"... Are you planning to steal something?"

Andy had an amused look on his face, "The way you look, anyone who sees you knows that you are up to no good."

Hermione glanced at Andy.

Andy was in his pyjama, slippers on his feet, his whole being sitting casually on the sofa, his wand was in the pocket of his pyjama bottom, only half exposed.

And then she looked at herself...

A wizard robe, wearing a wizard's hat on the head, her face is also wrapped in a scarf, and the only exposed part of her whole face is her nose and eyes.

At first glance, she indeed looks like a thief!

"Hmph! I call this being well-prepared."

Hermione's tongue was hard, "If we get into danger in a while, you can't run away with me in your slippers."

Andy: "..."

Is this the Ravenclaw style?

"Let's go!"

Andy got up, pushed open the library door, and walked in first.

"Aparecium!"

Andy whipped out his wand and nudged around, but found nothing.

Hermione seemed to be holding a grudge, the young witch said with a face full of disapproval, "This is a spell left behind by Ms. Ravenclaw, how can you crack it as a first-year wizard?"

"Whether it can be cracked or not, you have to try before you surrender." Andy laughed as he took back his wand.

"Hmph!"

Hermione raised her chin proudly, "Ravenclaw symbolizes knowledge and wisdom, and Rowena Ravenclaw said a very famous motto: Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure."

"If you ask me, the key to cracking the secret of this place - is reading books!"

Hermione had a look of conviction on her face.

"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure?"

Andy looked thoughtful, "Perhaps Ms. Ravenclaw herself doesn't approve of that statement."

"What do you mean?" Hermione looked puzzled.

"Why do you say that!?"

A voice suddenly heard, Andy quickly pulled out his wand, "Who?"

A silvery-white ghost passed through the wall, she was tall and pretty, but she looked a bit condescending.

"Ms. Gray?"

Andy raised an eyebrow and put his wand back in the pocket of his pyjama bottoms, "I'm sorry we bothered you."

"I'm asking you a question! On what basis do you say that Lady Ravenclaw doesn't approve of that statement?" Ms. Grey was a bit unrelenting.

Andy rubbed his nose, "I've heard some stories about Ms Ravenclaw and her daughter, and I'm sure she would be willing to trade wisdom for her daughter."

"Willing..."

Ms. Gray seemed to have received a great blow, she first looked blank for a while, her whole body froze for a prolonged moment, then she angrily looked at Andy and pointedly said, "What do you know!?"

After saying that, Ms. Gray disappeared through the wall without looking back.

"Uh...did I say something wrong?" Andy looked at Hermione with a confused expression.

Isn't the theme of Harry Potter, love and friendship?

If I let Dumbledore hear this sentence, he would definitely think that I'm a once-in-a-century good student.

How is it that when it comes to Ms. Grey, all I get in return is a shrill cry of rage?

"Maybe...she idolizes Ms Ravenclaw?" Hermione guessed.

"I look up to Ms. Ravenclaw too, don't you know?"

Andy said unconvincingly, "I even said Ms. Ravenclaw was the most powerful of the four founders."

Not beaten to death, therefore she was most powerful

Hermione looked at Andy, she thought, should she just beat him to death, it's late at night and no one would know anyway.

"Right, where was I?"

Andy recalled, "Oh, come to think of it...if you could find secrets by reading books, the secrets Ms. Ravenclaw left behind would have been deciphered a long time ago."

"I bet what Ms. Ravenclaw longed for most at the end of her life was to see her daughter one last time."
