Chapter 20 I want to swim in the ocean of knowledge

At exactly 12 o'clock, the two-hour Potions class finally came to an end.

All the young wizards left the Potions classroom as if they were fleeing for their lives, and it was only after they were far away that the young wizards simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief and took a big gulp of the fresh air outside.

"That was horrible, I was completely terrified to look at Professor Snape, he was standing right next to me and I felt like I almost died." A certain Hufflepuff House wizard had a hilarious look on his face.

The others echoed in agreement.

"The good news is that we don't have Potions class anymore this week!" A Ravenclaw House young wizard said joyfully.

This is really good news.

Especially since they were about to eat lunch, and after learning this news, they felt like they could eat an extra big plate.

"Hmph! They're going too far with that."

Hermione and Andy walked side by side behind the crowd, Hermione said with some indignation, "Professor Snape is obviously so conscientious and responsible, going out of his way to point out our mistakes, although he is a bit harsh as a person, they shouldn't have said that!"

Andy glanced at Hermione.

It's a good thing you didn't end up in the Gryffindor House, or you might have burned Snape's robe.

"You think so too, don't you?" Hermione tried to pull an ally.

"Ah, yes!"

Andy said a little distractedly, "Don't be mad about it, when they get a little older they'll understand how good Professor Snape is."

"You're right!"

Hermione nodded approvingly, then looked at Andy a little strangely, "What are you thinking?"

"Nothing."

Andy said, "Let's hurry up and go eat, after lunch, I'm going to go to the library and read for a while."

"I want to go to the library too, I've heard that Hogwarts has the largest collection of books in England." Speaking of the library, Hermione revealed a look of longing.

"Not just the whole of England, but the entire European wizarding community."

Andy explained, "Hogwarts is the first magic school established in the global magic community, and it has been more than a thousand years since then."

"It has the largest collection of magic books in the entire wizarding world."

Hermione asked curiously, "Are there many more magic schools around the globe?"

"Of course!"

Andy said, "I don't know much about the specifics, but there are more than a dozen renowned schools alone, as well as many lesser-known magic schools."

As they spoke, Andy and Hermione had arrived at the ground floor great hall.

"Hi! Andy."

Ron and Harry were sitting at the Gryffindor long table playing wizard's chess, and Ron, with his sharp eyes, caught a glimpse of Andy.

"You guys out of class so early?" Andy walked over to them with a surprised look on his face.

"We don't have classes in the morning."

Ron said, "But we have a Herbology class with Hufflepuff in the afternoon and a History of Magic class in the evening."

Harry asked curiously, "What classes did you guys take in the morning?"

He was actually more interested in asking what it was like to attend a wizarding school, but it was just somewhat awkward - he didn't know Andy very well, after all.

"We have two Potions classes in the morning," Andy said.

"It's Snape's class!"

Ron had an 'I've got a big secret' look on his face, "I've heard from George that Snape is very biased towards Slytherins, he didn't do anything to you in class, did he?"

"It's okay!"

Andy didn't want to lie to him, "I think Professor Snape is very knowledgeable, even though he's rather strict. Maybe George was trying to scare you, after all, they do it all the time."

Ron was somewhat convinced, but Harry had a feeling that Professor Snape didn't like him a bit - Snape had looked at him very strangely on the day of the Sorting.

"Well, I'm going over to eat, and I have to read in the library for a bit later."

Andy waved at the two boys and turned towards the Ravenclaw long table.

Ron shrugged, "Andy's been an avid reader since he was a kid, we're neighbours, and every time I've gone over to see him, he's in his study reading a book."

Harry glanced back at Andy, only to see that Andy was already sitting at the Ravenclaw long table, talking to a young brown-haired witch about something.

Ron followed Harry's gaze but was not surprised, "They're both the same type of people - I mean, they both love to read."

At the Ravenclaw long table, Andy was in a good mood and chatting endlessly with Hermione.

Originally, Andy had a headache.

He and Ron knew each other, and when he arrived at Hogwarts later, he wondered how to alienate himself from the Saviour Trio without a trace.

Until just now...

Children often have a hard time hiding their emotions, and just now when he was chatting with Ron, Andy keenly realized that Ron obviously preferred to chat with Harry.

Well, that's fair enough! The school dud and the school master are after all people from two completely different worlds.

One had nothing but fun in his eyes, and the other had nothing but learning in his eyes.

Just after lunch, Hermione couldn't wait to go to the library to gain knowledge.

Andy readily agreed, after all, his time is very precious.

Seven years may seem like a long time, but if he wants to read all the books in the Hogwarts collection, he's afraid that it is something that is simply impossible to do.

Since he was fortunate enough to come to the magical world, Andy naturally wanted to devote his entire energy to studying magic.

This was what Andy desired, and at the same time, it also involved Andy's system.

Only by working hard to improve his talent could Andy become stronger in a limited time.

***

Hogwarts' library was located on the first floor of the castle, and it held the most complete magic book collection in all of Europe's wizarding world. From ordinary books used as a pastime to all kinds of mysterious and forbidden magic, this place could be described as having everything.

The first time he came to the library, Andy was stunned by the vast amount of books there.

The library had thousands of bookshelves, hundreds of narrow passages, and thousands of magic books on each shelf. Here, you could find all the magic you wanted to learn.

Andy couldn't wait to swim in the sea of knowledge.

"What books are you going to read?" Hermione asked.

Andy and Hermione strolled forward and backwards through the narrow passageway between the two bookshelves - there were so many books here that neither of them knew which one would be the best one to start reading.

"Something to do with spells!"

Andy could only increase the system's potential points by improving his abilities in the five areas - Charms, Transfiguration, Dark Magic, Alchemy, and Divination.

Dark magic could not be considered for the time being.

The British wizarding world had just experienced the ravages of Voldemort, and the general environment here was very repulsive to dark magic. Anything that had anything to do with dark magic would be recognized as evil.

Even if Andy wanted to learn dark magic, he could only study it alone in secret and couldn't let anyone find out.

Furthermore, Alchemy is relatively high-end, Divination... Andy had zero talent in this area, even if he wanted to learn it, he would have to add talent to it first.

In contrast, there was a wide variety of magic charms to learn, by practising them hard, he could improve his strength and at the same time increase the system's potential points, it was like killing two birds with one stone.

"What do you think of this book?" Hermione asked as she pulled out a book.
