As Phil prepared to leave for work that Wednesday morning, Elena stood beside him, adjusting the collar of his shirt while Fiona and Liam lingered by the door, waiting to see them off since they'd decided to not show their dace outside until everything was settled.

The mood was light as they exchanged small talk about their plans for the day.

Just as Phil reached for his keys, his phone buzzed in his pocket. Glancing at the screen, he saw that the caller was none other than his aunt.

Seeing this, his expression immediately grew serious, and he looked up, showing the phone to Elena, Fiona, and Liam.

"It's Aunt Harriet," he said quietly, his tone laced with unease.

Liam's jaw tensed, and Fiona's brows furrowed as she stepped closer to Liam, sensing the tension in the room.

"What does she want?" Elena asked, her voice cautious even as she rolled her eyes.
