Spreading The Good News

Seeing the way Harriet was looking at her, Fiona couldn't help the shiver that ran down her spine as she looked back at Harriet.

As if sensing her nervousness, Harriet laughed softly before shifting her gaze to Liam's face.

"I can't say I'm totally against or in support of it now. I still have to observe Fiona and make sure all she said here today isn't a lie like she told me the other time, don't you think so too, Fiona?" Harriet asked, her voice cool and gentle.

Fiona, having nothing to hide now, smiled, feeling the weight of the evening lifting. "I would like that very much. You can tale your time. I have nothing to hide anymore," Fiona said and Harriet nodded.

"Such a good girl. I hope you keep it up," Harriet said before pushing away from the table.

"I have to leave now. It was nice having dinner with you both again. Maybe we should do this often, what do you think, Li?" Harriet asked her son and he shrugged.
