Explaining things to a Wizard!

"Jah, well, I would like to understand where I am currently...?"

His expressions were odd as he looked around in a very flustered manner. It seemed to me that he was searching for someone, other than me, and was quite nervous about their well being. I expanded my senses out and saw a dark elf man looking around with worry marring his face. Green energy swirled around the two of them in the meantime, whatever spell they had cast on them not working for long.

"First, let me save your friend."

Waving my hand I pulled on the Dark Elf man. He was a very attractive elven man with stylish silver hair in a backwards curl, both sides of his head thinly shaved, leaving the upper portion to freely wind its way backwards. Bright purple irises stared back at my own golden ones, as a band of intricate earrings pierced his left ear, one with a prominent looking diamond attached to it. He looked extremely worried but also curious as he saw Caleb conversing with me.

"Essek... Are you okay?"

"I am fine, sweetie..."

I chuckled a little in my heart as the two men looked at me oddly, not used to the open acceptance of their relationship. It was obviously done by this Essek to test me but I didn't mind. Caleb was a little red as he heard his pet name being called so casually in front of a complete stranger.

"Now, now, calm down you two... Being gay isn't a unique thing amongst infinity."

They both snapped their heads towards me once more, their gaze having wondered to the space around them, no doubt noting the figures that seemed just out of reach.

"What do you mean infinity!? Is this beyond the prime material plane?"

Essek spoke in a rather sing-song dialect of the language I was comprehending. They didn't need the spells to communicate with me but it made them feel better, so why not? Caleb was quiet, the cogs of his mind spinning in effort to understand what I was saying.

"To answer Caleb's question from before. We are currently in what I have been told is a space beyond time. One could call it luminal, others may call it limbo. Some may even be as bold to call the corridor of Multiverses. In this place, space is inconsequential and time is but a plaything for those of true willpower."

I took a small pause to allow them to digest briefly.

"I learnt this all from a man called Rasitlin majere who is a Wizard from the same Multiverse as yourselves."

Essek blinked in misunderstanding as Caleb was showing a test pattern. It seemed advanced physics was beyond them. Not surprising since they came from a medieval planet with the barest of technologies available to them from their planet's peak.

"What is this 'Mul-ty-versee' that you speak of?"

"Hmm, how to explain... You live on your world, yes?"

They nodded.

"Your planet exists within a solar system that has a sun in the centre of it, yes?"

"Yes."

"Good... Well, the next size up, a space that holds solar systems, is called a galaxy. From there we have a space that holds galaxies called a Universe. Now, using logic, we could therefor assume that there is a space holding the universes... A multiverse."

Essek looked utterly amazed by the sheer size of everything. The reality he knew little of, but the prospect seemingly shot life into him. Caleb was the same as well, his understanding of things expanding massively.

"What multiverse do you come from? Wait, that is not an apt question... What multiverse do we come from?"

"Good questions. For my own? I do not know. For yours? I call it the Dungeons and Dragons Multiverse."

"Dungeons and Dragons? Why?"

"Well it seems that from where Raistlin came from there were a lot of dragons, gods and dungeons, it seemed apt."

Confusion ran through them for a few moment until they seemingly wished to move on, more intrigued to learn things from me. That was when their spells began to fail a little. Whatever magics they had used were temporary in nature and much less permanent than my eyes. Frustration shot over their faces as well as mine. Thus, out of annoyance, I covered them with my magic and created a small pocket of localised time that would extend our meeting for a minute or two.

"This will only delay your spell from failing for a minute. Choose your questions wisely."

"Are the gods from this space?"

I vision I had seen not that long ago fluttered through my mind. Of a space beyond space, a time beyond time... Beyond even this place.

"No, not from this one. Another, now fallen, felled by an enemy of extreme power."

Essek squinted his eyes in concentration and deliberation, he was etching the memories into his very soul at this moment. Caleb soon came forth with a question.

"Are you a god?"

"Hahaha, no, not yet. The most you could consider me is a powerful Mortal. I can affect my world in massive ways but have yet to reach the point where I can outwardly effect my Universe and such."

He nodded and smiled at my demeaner. They were both very nice people despite the rather cold exteriors they held. I knew they had been through a lot and I stopped myself constantly from peering further into their moralities and actions, my fae side wishing to get to know them instead and have them speak to me about it.

"What is the process of becoming a god?"

"Depends... I would not wish such a path to anyone anyway. It is a difficult road filled with nails and pain. To become as of your gods? Impossible so long as they consider each other family."

Yet again they etched that into their souls as they recorded every second with me using a magic that I was interested in... Also one I instantly stole from them, i would apologise but they kind deserve it for recording me without asking.

"Is it possible for us to come back here?"

"Use the same spell that used this time... Or, here, have a small strand of my hair. It will come along with you spatially so long as you have to on your person. Use this and a communication spell of strong power and I'll see if I can get you here once more. No promises."

Caleb took the hair I had just made fall off, a small little patch that instantly regrew. Essek seemed a little grossed out but was stronger with his curiosity and intrigue at this space. Unfortunately for them that was when the spell cut out. The positive, they got my hair and could possibly communicate with me. Negative, I don't know if it would be possible unless they used the same spell as before.

'All well... Another day, or was it a second? Heh, this space is so fucking weird.'

...

Exiting the liminal space I came back to the end of a meeting. Rimuru was the one speaking mainly as Benimaru, Hakuro, Shion, Shuna, Diablo and Ruphia were all answering. Ruphia was behind me as she spoke, her eyes constantly wondering to Shion with her large breasts and also Benimaru with his exposed chest. From the split second I came out from my communication with the wizard I immediately knew she liked both men and women.

It didn't bother me. I couldn't fucking care, as long as she wasn't looking at Milim or Shuna we wouldn't have any issues. Moving away from that I pretty much instantly got all of the information from the meeting, my subconscious paying attention to it despite my consciousness speaking with the gay wizards.

Rimuru was mainly speaking on ensuring that the city had protections from future battles. Shields and illusions were spoken of as some people suggested that we focus on infrastructure first so we can plan properly. I agreed with holding back on Defense. City planning was important and we didn't want to handicap ourselves by building large walls or immovable shields. I wasn't here for the conversation... But it all turned out well as a middle ground was reached where it was agreed that public works needed to be prioritised but also have runes and magical symbols carved in them in the event of a hasty defence.

The next issue was the damage to the surroundings of the city. War was a messy business. The fireballs, earth spells, bullets, brass casings, blood, bodies, viscera... it was horrid. If it wasn't dealt with the entire area would become a breeding ground for disease, or worse, undead. Yuna funnily enough stepped in to offer help, her fist waving about as she explained that the bodies could be buried to make components for gunpowder. Rimuru loved that idea and so did the Dryads as the process was also feeding the environment.

Last issue was the left over firearms and ammunition. They needed to be stored but there was very little space left in the warehouses due to all of the food from the farms being relocated there for war-time rations. Geld stepped in and offered to begin construction of a warehouse immediately, Rigurd stepping forwards and offering support in the endeavour as well. And that leaves us with where we are at now, the meeting slowly coming to a close as Shuna and Milim waited for me at the side of the room. No one had noticed that I was deep in thought and no one had asked for my opinion through all of this discussion...

'It's bliss, pure bliss!'

I was relieved. No longer did I have to fuck around with major decisions, now I could just sit here and offer advice when needed and give a guiding hand when necessary. My life was now much more relaxed... Now this would change when the meeting of the Demon Lords was announced, but that wouldn't be for another month or two yet. The Demon Lords were vastly slow moving when it came to actual events, most of them not wishing to disturb their own matters just to meet people they were sick of seeing.

"Honey! Let's go home! I wanna watch Master Chef!"

Rimuru immediately looked at me with a betrayed expression, my wince showing clearly that I hadn't been sharing that with him. Shuna immediately started to whistle as she pinched Milim slightly, trying to stop her from continuing. Sadly, the daughter of Veldenava didn't get the message and continued to speak.

"Come on Shuna... We watched Marvel not too long ago, we need to watch Master Chef!"

Rimuru intensified his glare and practically stomped over to my seat.

"What is this I hear about TV shows..."

His tone was expecting and sarcastic, his elbow reaching out to stab into me. No doubt he was trying to get in on watching TV with me and my women. I felt awkward letting him do that as it would get in the way of private time with my wives.

"Nothing... It is private time with my girls, okay? Now, if you've stopped being nosy..."

"No! Not so fast! You are definitely hiding the TV from me aren't you!?"

I winced and shrunk a little as he stared at me accusingly. His expression look heart and his face was making disturbing movements in he direction of crying. It made me want to give up and allow him. The singular look I got from Shuna made me instantly go in the other direction as she looked utterly pissed that I was considering it.

"A-ah... Umm... H-how about this... I'll create a TV in your house too and I'll put some shows onto it?"

Rimuru smiled evilly, as if this had been his plan all along.

'Evil bastard...!'

Top 10 anime betrayals of all time...!

'Stop fucking memeing me!'

Nope, it is fun.

'I just wanna relax, why can't i get a break!?'

...

It was later that day, after making a TV for Rimuru, Shizu and Shion that I finally got to go home. Shuna was angered that I wasted a lot of time on making a TV for Rimuru whilst Milim enjoyed it as she could discuss stuff with her other bestie now. Seeing Milim happy at least made me feel a bit better about being manipulated into giving him those shows.

'He liked Bleach a lot... Also, why the fuck did he want some Hanime?'

Idk... becoming a slime must have increased his libido a lot...

'Speaking of, why am I currently not a mess? Wasn't I supposed to get increased arousal or something?'

It probably surfaces when you are in that situation...

"Hmmmm..."

The door opened as Milim rushed inside. The house immediately lit up as the magic light sources flourished into multi-coloured spectrums. Shuna put her shoes away before stepping into the house proper, her next move being the kitchen where she quickly ordered the robots to make some steak dishes and also some Chocolate Moose.

Meanwhile, I, finally got to put my feet up and just relax. The TV turning on in an instant. I waited for Shuna and Milim, closing my eyes to enjoy the relative silence. It was so peaceful that I struggled to stay awake. Staying awake, barely, I opened my eyes to see Milim stark naked, Shuna beside her the same, whilst they both held their food and walked over. I was tempted to leap on them now but that quickly faded when they sat next to me on the couch and summoned the blankets to us.
