Waking the next morning we all ate together and watched an extra episode of Master Chef, Shuna enjoying the season finale as she watched one of the more skilled of her picks for winner win. Milim was rather bummed because her choice was beaten at the last moment due to their impatience but took it very maturely... By that I mean she dropped to the ground and slammed her hands onto the ground as she cried out how stupid the kid who lost was.
They were both hilarious as Shuna put her right hand onto her head and made an 'L' out of her fingers, rubbing salt into the wound. I was sipping on my morning coffee and practically eating my food like it was popcorn at the unfolding comedy before me. Milim, who was on the ground quickly looked up at Shuna and scowled, her hair floating a little as a smile creeped onto her face.
"Ohhh, Shuna...? Is that a mockery I see?" Shuna smiled confidently and even wiggled her hand a little, making the L look even larger to the eyes. Milim didn't slouch in her mood at the obvious intentions from Shuna, her smile instead widening.
"Okay! Fine, then I'll tell Honey about how you were speaking to yourself about what you wanted tonight..." Shuna immediately paled and dropped her hand, running over to the maniacally laughing Milim and trying to silence her. This entire scenario interested me and I unconsciously ended up leaning forwards in intrigue. Shuna saw my movements and smothered Milim's mouth as her face became bright red. Raising my eyebrows she just shook her head, her lips quivering somewhat as a flush of red began to flow through her face.
"I'll ask you tonight." At the same time Milim grasped her breasts tightly and made her moan, the sound and sight making me slightly wet as Shuna fell backwards in surprise, her 'jugs' bouncing up and down a little. I couldn't help myself and gave a thumbs up to Milim, her reaction the same as mine. It had kind of been passively accepted now that me and Milim were also married, Shuna fully accepting of the cute, fluffy, energetic ball of happiness that was Milim. They both came over to the kitchen table once again and continued to eat, their expressions rather red. We settled down after that and began to finish our breakfast.
|Ultimate Skill has been tabulated... Said Ultimate Skill allows for the the manipulation of Space and Time to a very high degree. Abilities are as follows:
Manifest Matter- Create Matter from Magicules and Qi. Items from the bearer's memories can be recreated using the MP of bearer as substitute. This ability has combined and superseded the Wish Spell. Cost of Item created increases based upon the matter required to be formed.
Time's Archivist- Bearer is immune to all Time Spells except those used by the bearer themselves or any spell they wish to be affected by. This also allows the bearer to search through the history of other stories or worlds using bearer's consciousness as a transit point. Warning, there are dangers at every turn when venturing out with you spirit, please keep this in mind.
Gravity Control- Allows the bearer to bend and manipulate Gravity within a localised area, including the effect that certain elements of physics have on gravity and vice versa. Also makes it so that the bearer is never affected by graviturgic spells of enemies or any mass-cancelling spells.
{Further Elements of this Skill are locked until the evolution to True Demon Lord has finished.}|
I wasn't as surprised as I would have been before... Whilst it may be very powerful, especially the matter manifesting element of it, it was no where near the true power of beings that could literally bend time and destroy reality with a single flick of their fingers, Rand Al'thor being such a man. No, instead of being surprised I began to remember materials, technology and various other innovations from my past life that could be used, especially a technology described within DND, Mythallar and Mythals.
'Mythallar, to generate an immense source of magic drawn from the very meaning of magic, the weave... In this case the domain of Magicules within Tensura. Mythals, a technology, item or some would call it a spell... They were immense constructs of nigh-sentience that created a domain for the caster of the spell. I need this.'
My draw towards these objects was powerful but there were considerations I had to give to the effect they would have on the nation. A Mythal would protect the nation and guard it from undesired monsters and beings but could become a threat if it were to start fading. Mythallar would draw such vast quantities of Magicules that they would become poisonous for the residents continued living. There also existed the issue of actually making them with my meagre amount of Magicules and knowledge on the exact resources needed for them. I had the idea but didn't have the details, and that would force my Ultimate Skill to fill in the blanks, possibly drawing more energy.
"Silvi, sweetie, are you ready for work?" The crisp and beautifully feminine voice of Shuna sung out into the room disturbing my thoughts, my eyes fluttering at the sudden intrusion in my concentration.
"Ah, yeah... You good?"
"Mhm!"
"I am awesome! Now, let's go do boring work and finish it quickly so I can face you again!"
Milim was as excitable as usual despite her loss this morning. Well, that was the case until Shuna slapped her head a little and scolded her about trying to fight me again, citing what happened last time as an example why not to. They both started to argue after that, all of us leaving the house and heading towards the newly renovated building that we would be working in for the first time in a while. Today's work wasn't that difficult with most of it being focussed on paper work and the one or two meetings with community leaders.
My mind often drifted back to the ideas swirling in my mind, the thoughts of binging modern conveniences via my magic becoming very appealing. But, in the end my logical mind won out and I decided to limit the expansiveness of my use of the Ultimate Ability until Tempest was fully self sufficient and had a strong economy. The biggest thing I had decided to do was to create potatoes, Wheat, Carrots, Coco beans, Sugar Cane and some other plants. Many of them were rare or hard to come by with Coco beans and Wheat being the hardest to find out of everything in the list.
Midway through my work day I had officially received a response from Gazel agreeing to Rimuru coming to Dwargon for a 'cultural exchange' and a possible trade deal... No doubt he was wanting to unite our nations into a defensive pact, especially considering how fast we have made our structures and society.
'He is smart. Why anger a rising cub when you can instead guide it and become allies with it, possibly benefiting in the end... He reminds me of those billionaires from my last life...' I shuddered a little as I placed the note on the desk, summoning a staff member to send it to Rimuru and Shuna in the office adjacent. The request specifically asked from Rimuru so there would be no way for him to dodge the responsibility.
'Another element of my revenge completed... Anyway!' I picked up a steaming cup of coffee sipping at the delectable flavours that pooled within my mouth. Shuna had left not long ago to check out the linen aspect of the industry she presided over, her professionalism making me love her even more. Milim however, yeah, she was currently snoring her ass off on a chair next to the desk, drool slowly dripping out of her mouth.
It was going to be a long day...
...
And a long day it was, as minutes after I had sent the envelope to Rimuru I received news that the targets I had had monitored were on the move towards Tempest. It seemed that the kingdom of Falmuth had begun its plans in a desperate bid to defeat us at our own pace of progression.
Souei had discovered many movements in the military of Falmuth, including a force of 200,000 'secretly' converging towards a fortress on the bound of their borders closest to Tempest. At the same time his ghosts, subordinates, heard whispers of movement from Clayman, the man converging his forces towards assisting the Falmuth horde. I had very little idea what his plans were but it seemed to be much more cloaked then in the anime. Probably due to my involvement and the threat many different newcomers in Tempest posed.
At the time I had sent a mental message through my soul corridor with Souei, asking him to come back with haste and to retract the spies near Clayman's castle. Whilst the information was important and could help turn the tide, it was also an extreme risk. If any of them got captured and revealed information, the entire thing could blow up in our faces, especially considering the fact that Clayman was considered a demon lord and our actions could be perceived as an affront.
Souei instantly understood and agreed, returning at an accelerating pace that was only limited by the companions he held beside him. Turning my focus away from that element of the nation I soon began to consider countermeasures. The timing for the events were actually very opportune for me as Rimuru would be away and I could utterly infuriate the reincarnators, getting them to over insinuate our threat and possibly boosting the number of military forces. Hinata was a wild card but it was utterly foolish to try and spy on her without someone of my level doing it and currently we had no one capable of doing so.
Fortunately my day was over after another half an hour and I was now free for the afternoon, Milim being woken by me and joyously exclaiming how she was going to kill something if we didn't get out of there quickly.
'Keep it in mind, in future, don't bring Milim to work without something to do...'
