You may wonder what my intentions were when I left Hazel alone for nearly two weeks.

I had every reason not to but did so regardless. Liam needed me. Natalie needed me. We are one step closer to uncovering the mystery behind my parent’s death. Just knowing who killed them isn’t the only thing involved now that certain things have been unfolded.

For starters, my father was owing. Not anything of monetary value, but something dire that would cost his life. The weird part about that is his signature was forged so neither he nor my mother were aware of that contract. Not even after death. Every single trace of whoever and whatever could’ve conspired against them had been wiped out long before we were aware of its existence and it just brings us back to zero. Whoever is the mastermind behind this is messing with us on purpose and giving us clues little by little and I cannot begin to describe how sickening that is.
