"The first thing you've to understand about Dragons is that they are proud creatures," Mentor Melek from the department of Dragons said on the third day of orientation.

To infuse more drama, the mentor took well calculated, slow, loud steps in the vast hall where the year one and year two students were currently converging at.

Facing a year two student he said, "but between a dragon and rider, there lies no pride. Now tell me Ranger, do you think you've what it takes to take away a dragon's pride? To make it submissive at all your whims?"

Ranger puffed his chest proudly, "I do."

The mentor scoffed, "alas, but you've started to fail even before the test starts."
