Ingrid suddenly drew closer and lowered her voice to a conspiratory whisper. "I heard from one of Boss's drivers that Ms Cory offended the boss."

Hearing this, Grace had a bad premonition. 'I hope it is not what I'm thinking,' she mumbled under her breath.

"For some days now they've been waiting outside the gate seeking audience with the boss but he refused to let them in. I guess it was only because his parents were around today that is why he agreed to see them today," she heard Ingrid explain further.

Did he actually choose to go against the Beaumonts because of her. No. It's impossible. Maybe he used the opportunity to settle some scores in the past. It had nothing to do with her, she concluded within herself.

"I wonder how bad Ms Cory must have offended boss for him to hold so much grudge against her family."

"I also wonder," Grace said and almost gasped but was fast enough to stop herself before raising Ingrid's curiosity.
