"Where are you going, b*stard? Now take me to your village and give me a decent place to live." Cytherea's eyes bulged widely while begging to avoid any threat when she didn't have the energy to leave the region.
"What? Give you a place to live? Don't be kidding, even I don't want to live under the eaves with the Goddess who dares to disturb my life. Didn't you say you would settle in this hut until one of them found you?"
"But nothing has come since you left and I need a decent place to rest my body."
"You always do this when looking desperate because of their rejection? What a poor Goddess. But I can't take you to our village. For now, stop calling my name because I've been sleep-deprived since you came to this forest." This time Xavier immediately ran to leave her without picking up a few medicinal plants that had fallen.
"Hey, wait. You dropped something!" Even the screams of the Goddess of Beauty couldn't make him turn away and pick up something that Xavier would give a little girl.
Passing through the gate of the village, Xavier paused for a moment and then stepped back. He really hoped that this time he would not see the figure of the Goddess again because after this he would negotiate with his friend for an exchange of places. Facing the stubborn Goddess became his challenge while he was still inundated with comfort.
Not far away, he could see the little girl who was already waiting for his arrival on a bench. His face was stung when Xavier called his name and ran over swinging his tiny hand.
"Uncle Xavier, you returned! You didn't forget what you said yesterday night, did you? I'm really looking forward to it." Analyn looked adorable as her legs continued to jump while urging Xavier to quickly pull out her gift.
"Hahaha, you are so impatient, huh? Wait a minute." Xavier lowered the basket on his back but did not reveal the contents to Analyn. Even he told the little girl to close her eyes and take the gift as a surprise.
But when more than ten seconds searched the contents of the basket, only hundreds of stalks of medicinal plants filled the basket. The three flowers that had been prepared for her disappeared out of thin air when Xavier made sure the flowers were in a safe place and not easily dropped.
"Until when should I close my eyes, Uncle Xavier? You didn't secretly run away after lying to the little girl, right?" Analyn couldn't close her mouth when he started to panic.
There was no time to pick flowers in the previous place, so Xavier was forced to take some medicinal plants as a substitute. "Now open your eyes and receive a gift from me," Xavier said.
Analyn opened her eyes wide and saw what was before she made her frown. "What is this? Isn't this plant that Uncle Xavier always collects every day? Even I didn't find any beauty in it."
'Damn it. At her young age, Analyn too quickly realized the lies of a grown man!' Xavier shouted inwardly and then said. "It may not be beautiful but remember if only this plant could cure the villagers' disease some time ago, Analyn."
"I don't care. The little girl just needs something beautiful like dolls and flowers, but you gave me this pitiful plant. You are so cruel, Uncle Xavier!" Analyn yelled at the end of the word and slowly began to cry. Until the sound of crying stole the sight of several nearby residents who were sawing teak wood.
One of them shouted, asking Xavier. "Hey, what did you do to Analyn, man? You made the little girl cry on a sunny day."
"Hahaha. I'm sorry, sir. I just disappointed his expectations a little bit. Just leave this matter to me." Without waiting for an answer, Xavier directly took Analyn to a place far away from the workers. But not long after moving away from the gate, a very thunderous scream startled Xavier and them.
"Xavier!!! Don't leave me in that worn-out hut!"
The same sound and shouting made Xavier's ears so noisy. He didn't expect that Cytherea could still walk and even follow him to the village and blame himself for hesitating to use his ability to drive away the Goddess who did not accept rejection. The residents were immediately excited and gathered by the gate. In fact, they all did not hesitate to stop the activity to see a freak stranger.
Several village guards changed bows and flocked towards the gate, raising their guns and pointing them at Cytherea.
"What do you want, stranger? What's your business to come and make noise in our village?!"
"Shut your mouth, lowly human. I was talking to the man who collected the medicinal plants. He owes me a life!" Cytherea points to Xavier who is quite far away from her
"What the... Since when do I owe you, bullies?! Even you came by surprise and asked for very unreasonable help!"
Amidst the commotion came a woman from behind. "What's the fuss here?" The village chief's wife, Halyna, asked the residents while facing Cytherea who was standing in front of the gate carrying three flower stalks.
"We don't know, madam. Even she came over, yelling, calling Xavier's name without any explanation. Do we have to drive her out of this village?" one of the village guards spoke behind her.
"It's best not to. That woman must have something to do with Xavier, our hero. Let me face that woman." Then Halyna walked quickly while glancing at the figure of the man who preceded her even though they had the same goal, towards the Goddess.
"You... I have warned you not to follow me to the village. Now see what it did before gathering us here. Why don't you listen to me?!" Xavier snapped firmly.
"No beautiful woman like me is willing to live in that hut, idiot! Blame yourself who is so stubborn and unwilling to help us!"
Hearing that foreign parties have the courage to oppose Xavier, now Halyna does not hesitate to appear in the middle of the commotion and stop their quarrel. "I'm sorry to disturb you, foreign woman. As an immigrant, your speech and behaviour are very outrageous to people who are very meritorious to our village. Why don't you introduce yourself first? Even Xavier didn't welcome your arrival at all."
