Vicious prayers

"It's my fault," Ariel covered her face to hide the grin that was threatening to appear on her face. She pretended to cry as she shook her head and sobbed aggrievedly, "I should have stayed quiet and silently endured Ari's anger. She was angry at me and I … I hurt her even more."

Every time Ariel sobbed and blamed herself the entire Nelson family would come to comfort her, but today seemed to be an exception. Other than Glynn, who was a fool, no one else came to comfort her.

"Why are you blaming yourself?" Glynn said to her as she took Ariel's hands in hers. "That woman is just out to make us embarrassed and nothing else! How dare that woman even think of escaping, she is simply selfish to the point of no return. Isn't that right, brother?"

Glynn turned to look at Noah, while Ariel also peeked at him through her lashes that had drops of tears sticking on them. She hoped that Noah would take her in his arms and tell her that it was not her fault like he always did.

But her hopes were broken when she heard Noah say,

"Ariel, it seems like you are exhausted because of your injury. You should go back home."

Go back home? He was sending her away?

Ariel could not believe her ears, she wanted to question Noah as he looked distressed.

For whom does he look worried? But as soon as the question came to her lips, she stopped herself. As Ariel didn't want to hear the answer.

"Brother, what are you saying? Why are you sending Ariel back?" Glynn couldn't understand Noah's actions either. Why was he pushing Ariel away, could he not see how hurt Ariel was?

"Shut up Glynn!" Mrs Nelson, who could literally see herself getting shot in the head, shouted at her daughter. She knew that her daughter was a fool, but she couldn't believe her daughter was this besotted and stupid. "Do use that brain of yours, or have you kept it for nothing but just as a decoration? If we do not find Ari, your grandfather will punish us all, is this the time to worry about trivial things?"

After she was done speaking, she turned to look at Noah and then said, "Send your men to search for that woman, I doubt that she escaped the city. We can still find her!"

Noah nodded as he didn't even take a look at Ariel and then walked past her, his eyes not even falling on her once as he strode away. Mrs Nelson was the same as she fretted about Ari.

Neither of them cared about Ariel or her little princess heart.

"Ariel," though Glynn was upset with the scolding that her mother gave to her, she was more upset about the fact that her mother disregarded Ariel's feelings. The two of them have grown up together, and Glynn had always treated Ariel like her elder sister.

So, when she saw the hurt expression on Ariel's face, Glynn felt terrible for Ariel.

"It's alright," though there was a fire raging in Ariel's heart, she still acted like an understanding person. "Finding Ariana is important. Don't worry, I will look for her as well, I believe that we will find her."

After she finished speaking just as she expected, Glynn felt even more apologetic towards Ariel. Why did they have to worry about that woman who ruined everything? Could they not just let her go?

When Ariel saw that there was at least one person from the Nelson family standing on her side, she heaved a sigh of relief. She exchanged a few words of concern with Glynn before turning around and proceeding to walk away.

However, as soon as she stepped out of the hospital, the concern on her face was washed away and was replaced by a sinister indifference. It only intensified and turned into murderous intent as Ariel slid inside her car.

"Why didn't you die back then, Ari!" Ariel hit the steering wheel of her car with both of her fists. Her face distorted and no longer kind as she grounded her teeth. "If only you had died!"

Ariel didn't care that Ari was her blood-related sister, nor did she care about the fact that everything that she had in her hands at the moment was given to her by Ari.

The only thing she cared about was the fact that Ari was coming in between her and Noah.

Just now, even if she was blind, she could have sensed the worry and distress that was oozing out of Noah's body. And for whom? Ariana!

That stupid sister of hers.

Ariel bit her well-manicured nail as she muttered, "No. I cannot allow this to go on any further if that man falls for Ari, then for whom did I do all this?"

She was nervous and angry.

"I hope you fall in a ditch and drown, Ari."

"Hiss," Ari winced as she pulled her foot off Danny's lap. However, the latter caught her ankle and then pulled her foot back before cleaning the injuries on the back of her foot.

"Really Ari? How can you be so foolish?" Danny questioned angrily. "You actually jumped down the third floor of the hospital without shoes and if that was not enough you even ran around barefoot. Do you not know how dangerous it could have been?"

"What if a rusted nail pierced your skin or something of the sort?" He added another question on top of the first one.

Ari raised her hands in the air and said, "I didn't have the opportunity to worry about that, the shoes were placed at the corner of the door where the bodyguards were, if I had made a sound they would have caught me."

"Humph, your husband is a psychopath," Danny angrily muttered while his hands softly cleaned the blood off her foot. His movements were soft and caring as he continued to mutter furiously, "First he cheats on you, then he locks you up and if that wasn't enough he tried to keep you locked up in the ward of the hospital as well."

"And don't even get me started on your sister. That b*tch! She is still as vindictive as ever."

As he spoke he took out a roll of bandage and then stated, "But you are also at fault, who asked you to be so kind to her? She had taken your kindness for granted! You should have kicked her down long ago, along with your parents."
