"She wants me to leave you," Valerie repeated, adding, "she wants me to usurp your authority or even kill you and take over this pack."

Strangely, Alpha Denzel smiled. 'So, this is their plan,' he said to Brutus, who was afraid. 'What if she plays by their rules? You trust her so much, and she could easily kill us, you know?'

Alpha Denzel chuckled and responded to his wolf. 'If killing me would make Valerie happy, then I would gladly die for her. I would not be replaced in her life anyway since she now has an alpha wolf.'

Then he asked Valerie. "And what did you say?"

"She said it was because you have become too dangerous, but I told her your wildness is what keeps me attracted to you."

Alpha Denzel laughed, kissing her hair as he caressed it. He never knew that she liked his wild side better. Valerie continued to speak.
