Chapter 225: Master of the Inhuman Tribe, Sain!

Just after passing through the portal, Clark immediately smelled a strong scent of blood.

It was already quite dark, and the specifics of this place weren't clear in the earlier projections. Now, upon seeing it firsthand, the word 'tragic' hardly seemed sufficient to describe the scene.

Most of the future base had been destroyed, with seven or eight out of every ten members of the Inhuman tribe dead.

The only good news was that Dittany was still standing, barely holding on with a body pushed to its limits, glaring fiercely at the enemy.

Even her arms, reinforced with vibranium, were trembling slightly, showing just how close she was to her breaking point. The power of the shockwave was indeed immense, but Skye's body was a significant limitation in unleashing this terrifying force. As an Inhuman, her genetic sequence was vastly different from normal humans, and any hasty injection of the perfect serum could lead to unpredictable and possibly catastrophic changes.

Dr. Hank Pym, with nothing else to do, was working on a serum formula suited for her, but unfortunately, no results had been achieved so far.

Fortunately, Dittany wasn't alone. She had two comrades protecting her on both sides.

On Dittany's left stood Lincoln, a fellow Inhuman with the power to control thunder and lightning. Though his ability was also strong, he couldn't compare to Thor, of course.

Lincoln was in a worse condition than Skye. While Skye was merely overexerted with vibranium protection and hadn't sustained any substantial injuries, Lincoln was covered in wounds, especially two charred gashes across his abdomen, sweating profusely. He would have collapsed from his injuries if not for the enemy in front of him.

On Dittany's right stood a young man with purple skin and pointed ears, looking somewhat slender, especially noticeable by the three vertical scars on his chin, reminiscent of Thanos at first glance.

However, seeing his average height and slender figure, Clark dismissed this initial thought.

In the many parallel universes of Marvel, although there are countless versions of Thanos, their appearance hardly ever changes – all embodying a tall, robust figure, and certainly not a slender one.

Given his position, it seemed he stood alongside Dittany as an ally of the Inhuman tribe. Yet, the aura emanating from this slender, purple-skinned individual was not at all inferior to Clark's!

Were there such powerful beings within the Inhuman tribe, or had the standard for 'powerful' dropped so significantly? "Dittany, fear not, I'm here!" With a shout, Clark, along with Thor, who had just come through the portal, landed beside Skye, facing their enemy.

There were only two opponents: a blue-skinned woman, a superstar, and surprisingly… Hyperion!

When did this guy team up with a superstar?

Clark frowned slightly, about to test the enemies, but upon seeing him, Hyperion's eyes filled with hatred, and he immediately shot a heat vision towards Clark.

Well-prepared, Clark drew two portals in front of him, one swallowing Hyperion's heat vision and the other redirecting it back, striking Hyperion in the abdomen.

"Boom!"

Receiving impression points from various individuals including Dittany Johnson, Lincoln, and Sain!

Through elimination, it turned out the purple-skinned youth was named Sain.

Hyperion, hit by his own attack, was sent flying back, smashing a huge boulder and finally landing in the dust.

However, Hyperion's regenerative capabilities were frustratingly efficient. His injuries were fleeting, almost undetectable unless one was as observant as Clark.

Meanwhile, Dittany, the Avengers' beauty, was close to death, and Clark was truly enraged.

After his successful strike, Clark didn't give Hyperion any chance to recover, immediately pursuing him. With his healing hand transforming into a sword, he aimed a spatially cutting sword qi at Hyperion's brow.

Today, Clark was determined to kill this superhuman!

Sensing Clark's deadly intent, Hyperion, unlike his usual defensive stance, took the hit on his arm, bearing a deep, bone-revealing wound from the sword qi but successfully blocking the lethal strike.

Following that, Hyperion threw a heavy punch right at Clark's chest! This usually defensive foe was now fighting recklessly!

Caught off guard, Clark was sent flying high into the sky. Despite his vibranium armor, he felt his blood churn, barely holding back a mouthful of blood.

Hyperion was also not unscathed. The force exerted on vibranium armor was reflected back, and his punch to Clark meant he had to endure a rebound of double the force. Caught unprepared, the rebound shook the ground beneath him and caused him significant internal injuries.

However, his healing ability was astoundingly fast; as Clark was still airborne, Hyperion's wounds were already healing at a visible pace.

This guy seemed to be playing with a god mode cheat!

Without waiting for his own wounds to heal completely, nor waiting for Clark to stabilize in mid-air, Hyperion launched himself from the crater, readying another heat vision, his eyes locked on Clark.

Just as another powerful attack was imminent, a purple figure suddenly darted out from below, firing an energy beam from his left hand, more terrifying than Hyperion's heat vision. It hit Hyperion before he could release his attack, sending him flying once more.

This Sain, possessing such formidable power, proved to be a strong ally.

At this moment, Thor also joined in, wielding Mjolnir and summoning thunder, attacking Hyperion, who hadn't yet risen from the ground.

With two powerful allies by his side, Clark finally took a deep breath. He turned his sword and charged towards Hyperion, encouraging his team: "Look at the innocently slaughtered Inhumans and know this fiend must be stopped. Forget knightly honor when facing such a villain. Together, we'll defeat him!"

How strong was Hyperion? Certainly stronger than Clark, with Thor and Sain also unable to match him alone.

Especially after overcoming his usual defensive weakness, his combat ability skyrocketed.

In a one-on-one duel, even Clark, the strongest of the three, had at most a 30% chance of winning. However, in a three-on-one situation, the outcome was entirely different.

All three weren't weaklings, and together they managed to overwhelm Hyperion, who could barely defend and had no chance to counterattack.

Meanwhile, the superstar stood by, watching without intervening, as if merely an observer.

The battle continued, and Hyperion, under the relentless assault of the three, directed all his attacks at Clark.

Just when everyone thought his vendetta was with Clark, Hyperion suddenly changed his target. Despite taking a sword qi strike from Clark and a hammer blow from Thor to his back, his heat vision pierced straight through Sain's chest!

His real target had been Sain all along!

Caught off guard!

No one expected Hyperion to risk his life to take down Sain. Clark, too late to react, could only watch helplessly as Sain's chest was penetrated by the full force of Hyperion's attack.

"Damn it! If you won't let me live, then you can all die with me!"

Seeing his chest pierced by the heat vision,

and his consciousness fading, Sain roared furiously. With a powerful swing of his right hand, he summoned an orange cube that instantly trapped Hyperion inside, immobilizing him as if he were a fly encased in amber.

The ability to seal a powerhouse like Hyperion was astonishing – Sain's powers were far more terrifying than anyone had anticipated.

The tide of battle seemed to turn with Sain's last-ditch effort. The combined might of Clark, Thor, and Sain, each formidable in their own right, made a difference. Hyperion, strong as he was, struggled under their relentless assault. He was reduced to defensive maneuvers, unable to launch any counterattack.

However, the superstar, observing from the sidelines, made no move to intervene. Her detached demeanor suggested she was more an observer than a participant in this conflict.

The battle waged on, Hyperion focusing his ferocious attacks on Clark, but the combined strength of Clark and his allies gradually overwhelmed him. Despite this, Hyperion kept targeting Clark with his most lethal techniques.

In a surprising turn of events, Hyperion suddenly shifted his focus. Enduring a strike to the back from Clark and a hammer blow from Thor, he unleashed his heat vision directly through Sain's chest. It turned out Hyperion's true target had always been Sain, not Clark.

The development caught everyone off guard. No one expected Hyperion to recklessly attack Sain with such disregard for his own life. Clark, unable to intervene in time, could only watch as Sain's chest was pierced by Hyperion's powerful strike.

"Damn it! If you won't let me live, then you can all die with me!"

Realizing he had been mortally wounded, Sain, with fading consciousness, furiously unleashed his full power. With a forceful wave of his hand, an orange cube emerged, entrapping Hyperion inside it, rendering him completely immobile. It was as if Hyperion, a formidable adversary, had been sealed inside an amber, unable to move a muscle.

The ability to seal a powerhouse like Hyperion was beyond anyone's imagination – Sain's powers were indeed fearsome.
