Chapter 110: The Hulk Retreats, Yi Long's New Equipment!

The power of external aids truly stands out. As the Sanskrit chant began, the previously enraged Hulk immediately became calm.

Even his gaze towards Clark lost its hostility.

This was exactly the effect desired!

Clark, with a smile, was about to accomplish the unprecedented feat of capturing the Green Giant alive when the Hulk, with a fierce roar, lunged at him once again.

What was happening? Clark was taken aback and swiftly dodged.

After a failed lunge, the Hulk glanced at Clark and said, "Fighting you is really boring." With that, he leaped hundreds of meters away and disappeared into the snowy night after a few more jumps.

At this point, Clark could have followed and kept the "Qingxin Mantra" music close to the Hulk, calming him down over time to revert him back to Banner.

Capturing Dr. Banner would have been no challenge for Clark.

However, Clark chose not to pursue because, as he turned to watch the Hulk leave, he discovered something far more interesting than the Green Giant.

Through the broken ice wall, Clark glimpsed something resembling airplane wings, hidden under the ice and snow until revealed by the recent battle with the Hulk.

Instinct told Clark that this airplane might be even more valuable than the Hulk.

At least, it seemed so to Clark.

Therefore, his priority shifted to excavating this airplane for a closer look.

Thinking this, Clark transformed his skillful rejuvenation into a stick shape and smashed it onto the ice beside the airplane.

"Boom!"

The impact shattered a large section of the ice.

...

In Manhattan, New York, at the top floor of the Pym Research Building, Yi Long hurried to Hank Pym's laboratory. Trained in martial arts from a young age, Yi Long had integrated the essence of Chinese martial arts into every aspect of his life, exuding a transcendent quality unique to Chinese kung fu.

People often say that one can spot a soldier on the street at a glance. The same goes for martial artists.

This is the most significant difference between Chinese martial arts and other fighting techniques worldwide.

In terms of combat effectiveness, techniques vary, but the depth of skill matters. Yet, the way of life and health cultivation embedded in Chinese martial arts from its rich cultural heritage is unmatched by other martial arts disciplines.

As a Winter Soldier, Yi Long possessed a demeanor more refined than Bucky's and was comparable to Captain America.

Upon arrival, Yi Long saw Hank Pym adjusting a model of a large device projected in pale blue, a testament to another of Pym's great inventions after the Pym Particles: a tunnel to the quantum realm, though still theoretical.

Hank had conducted similar experiments years ago without success. Now, he planned to perfect the theoretical data before constructing the actual device, a task only he could accomplish, beyond even Clark's assistance.

Noticing Hank's dedication, Yi Long hesitated before reminding him, "Mr. Pym, you've been working for seventeen hours straight. It might be too much for your body."

Nodding, Hank dismissed the projection and, rubbing his temples, said, "A break might be good. Here, this is the new equipment I've prepared for you. See if it suits you."

He then tossed a keychain-shaped device to Yi Long.

Yi Long didn't immediately catch the keychain but instead kindly asked, "Mr. Pym, aren't you going home?"

"Home?" Hank raised an eyebrow. "With Clark gone, going back now would only get me nagged to death by that girl. Let's not talk about that kid. Check this out..."

Hank presented a wristwatch, pressed a button, and the compact keychain expanded into a large metal box the size of a desk. Another button press opened the lid, revealing an array of weapons.

Yi Long gasped at the sight: an MP5 submachine gun, two Desert Eagle pistols, an RPG rocket launcher, a composite long staff, and a pair of composite swords, all of top-quality materials.

This equipment was even more lavish than Clark's!

Pleased with Yi Long's surprised look, Hank said, "Clark never learned to use firearms, unnecessary for him now. But your case is different!"

"Your years under Hydra's control, though painful, made you proficient with modern weaponry. With your exceptional physical condition, you'd surpass any top special forces operative if you abandoned firearms."

Pausing, Hank pointed to the metal staff and swords, "These melee weapons, made from the strongest titanium alloy available, might not compare to Clark's cape but are the best materials we have. Especially the swords, usable as dual blades or combined into a long sword. They'll perfectly complement your Shaolin stick and sword techniques, Wing Chun's Six-and-a-Half Point Pole, and Eight-Cut Sword techniques, allowing you to choose the appropriate weapon for the situation."

Yi Long was stunned by the high-tech nature of even melee weapons.

Hank continued, "These weapons can be deployed all at once or individually. I've written instructions for their use. And this..." he said, tossing another round keychain, "contains ammunition: thirty thousand machine gun bullets, twelve hundred pistol rounds, and twenty rockets, enough for now, but refillable."

Yi Long was amazed by Hank's generosity, "Mr. Pym, such thorough preparation... is there a significant mission for me?"

Hank shook his head, "Clark foresaw years of disaster for Earth. We need to be well-prepared."

Suddenly, Yi Long's communicator beeped. After answering, he looked at Hank with a smirk, "Seems you can't find peace even in the lab, Miss Nalan Bai is looking for you."

Hank sighed, "I'm not hiding from her, but I knew she'd come."
