Changes in the Team

"This is crazy and stupid and I don't know why Alexi is even allowing it," Lex said as he paced across his office.

He assembled the entire team so that I could make all the announcements. Unfortunately, my husband called and they had a heated argument.

Based on how my cousin was behaving, he didn't win that fight.

"Get over it, Lex," I grumbled as I glanced at the members of his staff who sat stiffly on the couch. "I can take care of myself, I'm not a child and you and Grandpa can't shelter me forever."

"I know you can," he said, rolling his eyes. "It doesn't mean you should."

"I'm my own woman, cousin," I slammed my palms on the table and leaned forward. "How will I lead the family, the company, if you and Grandpa keep trying to do things for me?"

"She has a point, you know," Cassandra said.
