Chapter 2174: Battle of the Twin Cities! (14) _1

"What's going on?!"

Bruce watched incredulously as the array of strange creatures flew further and further away. He instinctively ran towards them, shouting, "Hey! Wait up!!"

After taking two steps, Bruce remembered that he now had a spider silk launcher. He extended his hand in their direction and managed to stick a strand of spider silk to Deadpool's leg.

Bruce was hoisted into the air. Deadpool looked down and saw Bruce's face, as though he had just seen a ghost.

"Batman?!! Is this another one of Batman's plans?!!"

Deadpool let out a scream and frantically started climbing up. He wrapped his arm around Captain America's shield, pressed against Cap's shoulder, stepped on the edge of the shield, and hooked his arm around Natasha's knee.

"Hey, hey, what are you doing!" Captain America instinctively pushed Deadpool down, who screamed all the while.

"Look at who's down there! Let me go, let me up!!"

When Captain America looked down, he saw a handsome face. The timeline of the Prime Universe hadn't evolved to the point where Captain America would meet Bruce yet, so he didn't know who the handsome guy below was, nor why Deadpool was screaming so horribly.

"A group photo is one thing, but participating in his plan is another! This guy is the Dark Source of DC! If he catches me, I'm dead for sure, and if he even notices me, it's a major disaster. I don't want to be bound to anyone, I'm an independent hero..."

While spouting such nonsense, Deadpool started frantically climbing the line.

As Deadpool scrambled to escape, he stepped on Captain America's shoulder, then grabbed Natasha's arm, pulled on her red ribbon waistband, and stepped on her back.

He managed to climb up, but Bruce's spider silk was still attached to his leg. Bruce didn't know how to retract the silk, so as Deadpool climbed, he was also pulled upward.

When passing by Captain America, he waved and greeted him. Captain America nodded back, though he didn't quite understand why.

However, when passing by Natasha, things weren't so simple. Natasha was a curvaceous female agent, and there was bound to be some close contact between them.

At this point in time, Bruce was indeed a playboy, but even grind dancing needed the right occasion. Now, they were all being pulled several hundred meters high in the sky, and the other party seemed to be a female agent who could kill him in one stroke. Who could flirt in such a situation?

Black Widow could.

Just as Bruce was getting close to Natasha, being pulled up by Deadpool, Natasha suddenly bent over and pulled him up. She adjusted her angle, propped her knee against his thigh, and her hand reached Bruce's butt.

By the time Bruce realized what was happening, the female agent's chin was already on his neck. Worse yet, Natasha had severed the spider silk with one stroke of her knife.

It was hard to say whether it was Batman entering the spider's den, or the spider giving up its turf.

Leaving Bruce aside, Deadpool, who finally escaped, didn't even have time to take a deep breath before he noticed the engine flame on the Green Goblin's skateboard started to flicker; it seemed to be running out of fuel.

Truth be told, it's already surprising that it didn't run out of fuel until now, as their candied haw skewer was nearly reaching Manhattan.

Deadpool's eyes widened as he yelled upwards: "Let go! Let go now! We're going to fall!!!"

Honestly, nobody above wanted to hold on. But the only one who could let go, Deathstroke, had detached himself from the skewer when they first took off, becoming the only independent haw, climbing the line upwards.

The Green Goblin immediately recognized how formidable this mercenary was; of course, he wouldn't let him climb up. So, it became a battle of angles with the Green Goblin throwing pumpkin bombs downward, and Deathstroke throwing darts upward. It was quite a lively battle.

The prowess of Deathstroke was indeed far superior to the Green Goblin's, and under these extremely complicated combat conditions, the situation became entirely one-sided. The Green Goblin couldn't hold on for long before Deathstroke turned over and jumped onto the skateboard.

Once the advantage of "fighting from above" was gone, the Green Goblin clearly panicked.

His resurgence as the Green Goblin was simply to provoke The Hulk under the guise of a super villain, creating chaos in New City, thereby giving him the opportunity to suppress his competitors.

Osborn knew all too well how to stir the pot and then place the blame on others. In doing so, when S.H.I.E.L.D comes for retribution, they would come for The Hulk, and the people would only think The Hulk was unstable.

Not only could he limit the development of his competitors at a crucial moment, but also keep himself out of the trouble. Perhaps, Osborn could even use the Hulk's uncontrollable actions to bite back at the military. Osborn was aiming to kill three birds with one stone.

However, he didn't understand how things had turned out this way. He would be beaten by the group of people below if he descended, or punched by Deathstroke if he stayed atop. Either way, he would end up with a swollen face and be under arrest.

In fact, the Green Goblin didn't have a choice because in the process of battling Deathstroke, he had completely lost control of the skateboard. The skateboard hit a building, asking the entire skewer of people to follow.

It was also lively above the high-rise building.

A golden-red mech was on the left, leading a large mecha army, while a silver-white mech was on the right, heading an even larger mecha army.

The reason they hadn't started fighting was because a strong figure, colored in red and blue, was flying in between them.

"Whatever you're doing, drop your weapons now!"

The two parties in mechas did not seem like the type to listen to others, but the problem was the pile of mecha debris accumulated on the roof of Stark Building beneath their feet resembled a hill.

They didn't get shattered in the process of fighting with the mechs. The majority of the parts were burned into wreckage. If the cause must be identified, it has to start with a heat ray coming from the horizon.

The White Can knew all along who the real enemy was. Whether it was S.H.I.E.L.D., Captain America, or Spider Man, none of it mattered. His erratic maneuvers in the New York sky were just a ploy to distract Stark.

He knew that Justice Iron Man could not ignore the chaos in the city. As long as he dispatched forces to save New York's citizens, it would give him an opportunity. Taking control of the Stark Group and the Mecha Army inside was the key to victory.

His plan was going smoothly until the two cities merged. Stark stood firm in the Stark Group headquarters, and apart from the mechs made by the White Can, there were no more troops left.

If this continued, he was certain to lose this tug-of-war for authority. Consequently, he had to seize control of the Stark Building while Justice Iron Man was still adapting to the controls of the heart mech.

So, the Mecha Army he led returned and confronted the outnumbered mechs led by Justice Iron Man in the sky above the Stark Building.

The two stood in the sky for less than ten seconds, the sun opened its eyes, and everything within that dazzling light turned to ash. In just two seconds, half of the mecha army stored in the Stark Building and divided by the two sides was destroyed.

And the remaining thirty percent were destroyed while trying to fend off this formidable figure.

The situation became awkward.

Under normal circumstances, the good and evil sides would be pulling out their trump cards and pressing each other with their armies, exchanging obscure battle cries before the earth-shaking final battle.

But even before considering whether the remaining scattered mechs were enough for a final battle, the two Starks were too afraid to speak.

And they were thinking about the same question: where did this rescue dog with underwear on the outside come from?

The White Can immediately realized how disadvantageous the situation was for him. As a pure virtual consciousness, the other one wouldn't be affected even if all the mechs were destroyed. But if that heat ray came over, while the Symbiotic Battle Armor could withstand it, he could not.

The other person didn't seem too smart, and appeared to be quite autocratic. The White Can pondered and thought about trying the old method, trying to manipulate him.

"Listen, I have to destroy this evil electronic life," The White Can began, "He is trying to invade the human network and destroy the Information Age at its root. You know how hard we've worked to get here..."

But the man hovering in the air shrugged his nose, as if sniffing something, then looked at White Can and said: "I smell aliens."

"What aliens?" The White Can feigned ignorance, "We are both humans, but that one over there is a virtual consciousness..."

"Not you, the Battle Armor you're wearing."

"It? It's just a product of technology."

"No, it's an alien life, or at least it used to be."

"How do you know?" The White Can asked incredulously.

"Because I am an alien."

Honesty is always the best policy. The White Can was left speechless. So even my statement that we are both humans was wrong?

No matter whose side this powerful strange man chose to be on, the White Can didn't plan to waste words with him. There can be only one Stark in this world, and that's him.

"You better not try to stop me, I..."

The White Can's threat was cut off when the formidable figure turned his head abruptly to look at the skyline. The White Can instinctively followed his gaze and heard a series of squawks.

"Turn! Quick, turn! It's going to crash!!!"

"Let go, let go!! It's out of power, we're falling!!"

"Do you think I want to hold on?! You let go of me first!!!"

"What's going on up there? Let go!! We're going to crash!!!"

Boom!!!!!!!!!!!!

A beautiful scene in the New York City skyline, now a beautiful scene in the Metropolis skyline - Stark Industries Building was unfortunately hit by a string of out-of-control Flying Candied Haw, breaking in half at the top third.

Superman didn't save them - he didn't want to save them, but even as Superman, seeing such a punk group hanging from an unidentified flying object, even his super brain needed a few seconds to comprehend he's not dreaming.

By the time he realized it, the building collapsed, and even Superman, who always held the "save one if you can" belief, didn't know whether he should go and save people.

He didn't even know what had happened. Did something fly by just now?

And more confused than him were the two Starks in the sky.
