Chapter 2034: Igniting the Extraordinary Dream in the Heart (27)_2

Shiller heaved a long sigh, immediately switching gears and looking at Steve, he said, "Can you give Bucky a call, ask him to come over?"

Steve was a bit puzzled, but assuming it was part of Shiller's plan, he called and summoned his buddy.

After Howard was resurrected, Stark and Bucky could just about share a room together. Bucky didn't care at all, when he walked over, he hugged Steve first.

Shiller left the dining room, walked straight up to the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy and reached his hand out to pat Rocket on the head.

Rocket Raccoon was about to explode with anger, but when he looked up and saw it was Shiller, he backed down, terrified.

As he was looking at Quill on the other side, Quill was also startled by Shiller. Shiller waved to them, saying, "Come on over, I need to discuss something with you."

The rest didn't know Shiller, but seeing Quill knew him they dropped their guard and followed Shiller.

Just as Rocket Raccoon was about to dissuade them, he remembered how Shiller had once left them in that terrifying cosmos, how much trouble it had caused them. So, to avoid retaliation, he decided to keep quiet.

They all walked to the dining room seats. Quill hadn't even sat yet when Shiller pointed straight to Bucky's arm and told Rocket Raccoon, "Help me with a favor and I'll give you an arm just like that."

Rocket Raccoon's eyes widened.

"Wait a minute, what's going on here?" Quill said, somewhat puzzled, "How do you know we're here? Did you invite Yondu? What are you asking us to do? What's the deal with the arm? I'm not following any of this, how is this connected?"

Shiller noticed another orange cat in Quill's arms, he hesitated for a moment and then said, "This cat wouldn't happen to be..."

Just then his phone rang. After he picked it up, he heard Nick's voice on the other end, he asked, "Doctor, have you come across an orange striped cat? That's an old friend of mine, is he with you now?"

After Shiller answered his questions, it wasn't much longer before Nick walked in, glanced at the orange cat, quickly picked it up, rubbed the cat's head and then asked, "Where's your owner, Goose?"

Seeing the orange cat open its mouth, Nick quickly turned it around to face away from him. Countless tentacles stretched out of the cat's mouth and out crawled a woman.

"Jesus, Nick Fury! No matter how many favors you do me, I'm not doing this again. Do you know how much stuff Goose gulped down? I almost got my head cracked open by half a door!"

The blonde woman turned to glare at Nick. Nick grinned at her and said, "Long time no see, Captain, I mean, Captain Marvel."

"Let me introduce you. This is Captain Marvel, a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. and an old friend. She assisted me by having her pet help me move some things."

"Wait a minute, where are we?" Carol noticed something wasn't right, she glanced around the room and then said, "Disney. Are you planning to take Goose on a roller coaster ride and dizzy me to death?"

"I absolutely didn't mean it that way." Nick raised his hands and said, "It's all a misunderstanding."

"What's going on? Is this your pet?" Quill asked Carol in perplexion.

"I didn't feel like flying that far with it, so I decided to just climb into its stomach and have it take me along for the ride." Carol took the orange cat from Nick's hands, stroked its head and said, "This is Goose, also known as Chewie. He is... umm, I always thought he was a cat, hence assume he is a cat."

"This is a flerken!" Rocket Raccoon twitched his whiskers and snapped, "He can swallow us and the whole ship, and you had assumed that he was a cat?"

Rocket Raccoon was actually talking about Quill, but Captain Marvel Carol thought he was referring to her, so she shrugged and said, "I thought it was just a cute little kitten."

"Who'd have thought, I found out a few months ago when I went to Andromeda Galaxy, from a bunch of symbiotes, known as the Cosmic Special Agents who told me that Goose was actually a flerken. But so what? He looks exactly like a cat, therefore he is a cat."

"Why did you go all the way to Andromeda Galaxy?" Shiller asked.

Carol rolled her eyes and looked at Nick, who sighed and said, "You know mutants have a brainwave amplifier, right? Magneto wants to build a bigger one."

"How big?" Stark asked.

"The size of the moon."

Everyone gasped.

"All the other parts are okay, but the key component must be made of vibranium. As you may know, vibranium has unique properties that when used in precision parts, yields the best brainwave amplification."

"However, because of the overall larger size, a lot of vibranium is needed. It exhausted decades of resources mutants had stockpiled, so they had to buy up a bunch of scattered parts at high prices."

"Because there was so much of it, manual smelting was very troublesome. Magneto borrowed the sun in the Solar System to melt and shape it, then took it to the Andromeda Galaxy."

"The special nature of the vibranium precision parts won't allow it to go through the Wizard Portal or through the wormhole generated by Magneto. The mutants wanted to transport these components but didn't have enough hands, so I solicited Carol's help."

"If the components are transported, why did Ms. Carrol come back?" Steve asked, "What did you ask her to bring you?"

"Are we supposed to let them use our sun for free?" Nick said, standing on his own ground, "Even self-service laundromats require coins to operate. They used our sun to melt so many components, they should pay us some equipment wear and tear costs, right?"

Stark buried his face in his hands. It turns out Nick had asked Carol to fetch the mutants' payment.

"What are you guys talking about?" Quill was the only one not in the loop. He looked at Shiller and said, "Doctor, whatever your plan is, I will not let Rocket take a risk. He's our friend."

"Your last plan endangered all of us, we won't be fooled again. Right, Rocket?"

When Quill turned around, he saw Rocket Raccoon staring intently at Bucky's mechanical arm.

He slapped his forehead.
