Return to the game (4)

"What the hell happened?" Chris woke up rubbing his body. Though the pain had subsided, there was still some echo of it coursing through his body.

"Oh, I remember, I accepted to be injected with the bloodline and I fell unconscious. I don't remember that upgrading the bloodline would be that painful", he thought to himself.

Like many top powerhouses of the past, Chris too changed his bloodline in the past life but he didn't remember it to be as painful as he felt now.

"Maybe I am weak as of now and so it was painful for me or this bloodline is far more powerful than the one I took back then", he concluded.

"Whatever the reason might be, I think I wasted enough time".

"I want to enter the game".

[Command accepted. The player is now entering the tutorial.]

---

A battlefield, filled with corpses of all races whether it might be humans or orcs or elves or trolls or even the mighty dragons, the field was littered with their corpses.

The tutorial showed the battles of the past and present. It showed how the world works.

When he entered the game last time, Chris skipped it as there were no rewards for watching because someone else got them way before he entered the game.

Everyone who entered the game just skipped the intro because it was half an hour long and it was considered a waste of time, which would be useful to level up and be a top ranker.

Only a month after the game was launched, someone watched it and got a Skill Voucher, which gave him a Passive Skill.

Unlike Active Skills which require mana, Passive Skills don't. They would give the ones pretty edge over others when fighting or creating, whichever profession they belong to.

There were only three members who got the benefit and those three stood on the top.

Now Chris who has this information could gain something but decided not to. The ones who benefitted from them were someone who stood by the world when disasters came and he knew their stories. There is no way he would screw them up by taking their chances.

If the person who got those chances was a dick, he would screw them by stealing the chances that they should have gained.

Though he wanted to gain strength, he wasn't shameless to screw the world. After all, he was lucky to get that stone in the first place and it was someone who decided that he got that. "That person may have seen my future and decided to make my life better". For what end, he has no idea but all he could do was hope that they don't have any bad ideas.

So, "Skip the tutorial", he said, which brought him to the newbie village.

Looking at the novice village, he felt nostalgia. It was not the village he entered back then but nonetheless, he felt happy to return to this world again.

---

As he appeared near the village a prompt from the system came.

[Welcome adventurer to the novice village, 0149]

[You got a common grade crate as a newbie welcoming gift.]

"Open the crate", he said.

[Opening the crate.]

[You have obtained 100 copper coins, a set of common clothes, a common staff and a talent voucher (Common)]

Chris quickly put on his clothes and equipped his staff.

The clothes set consisted of a vest, leggings and a pair of boots to go with the clothes. It gives nothing to the wearer, only covering his or her body.

"Open the common grade talent voucher".

[Ding!]

[You have obtained the talent, Space Difference (C)]

[Space Difference (C): The effect of all space spells is increased by 20%]

"My talent was the same as before. This was the reason why I was able to escape many difficult situations. Moreover, because of my talent, I concentrated more on the space element than any other element. It became useful after the Abyssal Creatures attacks started when the inventory box became useless.

Before that, every player could steal from NPCs and store them in the inventory box, if they were capable of stealing. When the inventory box was rendered useless, it was when hell broke loose.

Those who didn't possess space storage devices lost many items because of that. Every space storage item's price spiked all of a sudden when players got the prompt that inventory boxes would disappear and with it all the items in them.

The players had to find storage devices quickly. So the prices spiked. It didn't matter to me back then. Thinking about that, I wasted a lot of money on upgrading inventory, which became a waste after a time. I should get my own storage but the problem was that they could be stolen.

Only one place is where I could find a solution for that and it is not easy to get there now. I should concentrate on what I can for now.

Now let's see what I can get from those two vouchers from the platinum crates".

"Open SSS-grade Talent Voucher".

[Ding!]

[[You have obtained the talent, Experience Buff (SSS)

[Experience Buff (SSS):-

>>You would gain 100X EXP.

>> The experience you gain against lower creatures wouldn't lessen. It would be the same as you would if you were at that level.

>>The experience you gained would not be lost, even when you haven't advanced your class.]

"Holy...this is awesome", Chris whispered to himself.

Unlike before he was now near the village, where many players were present. He didn't want to attract unnecessary attention to himself by shouting out loud but he wanted to when he saw the talent he got.

Now he was wondering what passive skill he would get.

"Open the Passive skill voucher".

[Ding!]

"Say what?" he shouted, this time forgetting about the crowd of players and NPCs around him.
