The next negotiations went smoothly and Eve finally got the role in James Cameron's "Titanic". This news stirred up quite some waves in the industry.

Gwenyth Partlow read the news and threw the newspaper to the ground.

"So a girl who hasn't even attended any parties or events in Hollywood just got a role in Blockbuster without any trouble." she sneered, "Is this still Hollywood?"

Gwenyth's assistant didn't say anything and kept quiet. He knows his employer's temper and habits. In the end, all her anger is vented on them.

David put aside the wine glass in his hand. Harvey's words are indeed true to some extent. Eve Thompson's path in Hollywood is going exact 180 degree opposite of normal Hollywood routines. She hasn't come to any parties and events, and has never had dinners with Hollywood producers. Even if she has acting skills, she still got her first project "Romeo and Juliet" through her father's connections and that is which no one, including Eve herself cannot deny. The second movie "Scream" is given by Kevin Huvane like a free gift. And now when her first movie has only been released for less than 20 days, she has signed as heroine in James Cameron's commercial blockbuster, even if the prospects of that movie are not promising.

Eve Thompson's path can be called nothing less than a miracle. Having a father as executive in Fox and Kevin Huvane as agent, its a perfect road to smooth sailing. This is treatment which even Kathrine Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor didn't get. In fact, nobody might object to this, only if her first movie didn't do so well in theaters. But time still favored Eve Thompson, and her first film "Romeo and Juliet" has become a super hit, and she has changed from an over-privileged girl to a rising newcomer in Hollywood.

Seeing that David was getting trapped in Harvey's words, Jeffery hurriedly reminded: "David, you promised to stay out of this and not play any tricks. Dream studios is not strong enough to face the oppression from one of the big six and even the whole Upper East Coast."

Although Hollywood is dominated by people from West Coast, and People from East Coast don't have much say here. But the influence of those People reach almost every field. Eve Thompson is the most favored candidate to be the new generation face of them, and those people will never accept any tricks on her unless she fails multiple times at box office. Dream studios cannot face their wrath at this time of its rapid development.

David nodded hearing Jeffery's words. He also knows the truth, but this is also the reason why he is so unwilling to accept this. Despite having countless wealth, he still has to smile at the faces of all of those hypocritical people.
