[287] Trickster

Just as the enraged old man devil was on the verge of losing control, trouble arrived.

Boom!

Suddenly, the roof of the banquet hall was shattered, and a surge of unfamiliar magic energy filled the room.

Through the broken opening, a figure slowly descended.

Tall and slender, with long, ice-blue hair as sharp as spikes, and a face full of arrogance.

The newcomer's gaze immediately locked onto Odin, ignoring everyone else, including the two Satans and the Governor of the Fallen Angels present.

"Loki, leave now, and I can overlook this incident." Odin said coldly, his previously jovial demeanor vanishing without a trace. This was the true Odin, the All-Father, the Norse chief god.

He was the king of all Norse gods and the ruler of the Aesir.

"Overlook? Hah, old fool, stop talking nonsense!" Loki sneered. He had already caused such a commotion; there was no turning back now.

To retreat would mean inviting further attacks, especially since Odin had long sought an opportunity to bring him to justice. This was the perfect chance for Odin to do so.

"Loki, even if you are who you are, showing disrespect to the All-Father is a grave offense!" Rossweisse, one of Odin's valkyrie guard spoke. Disrespecting the chief god was akin to devils showing disrespect to their Satans.

"Hmph, a mere valkyrie. Do you think you have the right to speak here?" Loki retorted dismissively.

"Loki, I'm telling you one last time: stand down now, and I will not pursue this matter."

"You're delusional, Odin. As the king of the Norse gods, you've disgraced yourself by mingling with gods from other pantheons. Today, I will bring about Ragnarok. Come forth, my child."

A magic circle lit up in the banquet hall, and from it emerged a giant wolf radiating a fierce aura.

Fenrir, the magical wolf created by Loki, possessed god-slaying power, even stronger than Loki himself. Fenrir's strength was on par with the strongest dragons, a being among the top ten fighters.

In Norse mythology, Ragnarok was foretold to be triggered by Fenrir, whose god-slaying fangs were feared even by the gods.

ROOOOAR!

Fenrir let out a deafening howl. At that moment, a dark figure suddenly pushed the old man devil forward.

Splurt!

Seeing someone coming at it, Fenrir swiped its paw, instantly reducing the old man to a bloody pulp.

For a moment, Sirzechs, Serafall, and Azazel were all stunned. Everyone was in shock.

Was it just a coincidence? That was an old man of the high-ranking devils, and now he was dead?

Azazel, noticing the fleeting shadow, chuckled to himself, further solidifying his belief... never provoke August. He was ruthless and relentless.

"Fenrir... Loki, you brought him here. So, you are serious about this!" Odin declared, summoning his weapon, Gungnir. Facing Fenrir, even Odin did not dare to take things lightly.

This was the God-Devoured Wolf, a beast capable of killing Odin himself and the catalyst for Ragnarok.

Fenrir was explicitly forbidden to be released in Norse mythology, and now Loki had broken its seal and brought it here, showing he was serious.

"Odin, the curtain of Ragnarok will rise from here!"

ROOOOAR!

Loki laughed, his voice full of anticipation. This was the moment he had long awaited.

With Odin away from the Norse realms and isolated in the underworld, this was his perfect and perhaps only chance to kill Odin.

Just as Fenrir was about to launch its attack, a magic circle suddenly lit up, enveloping both Loki and Fenrir.

"A sealing spell?" Loki immediately recognized it.

Tap. Tap.

From a short distance away, a striking figure with green hair approached.

"It's you, Ajuka."

"Loki, I didn't expect us to meet again like this." replied Ajuka Beelzebub, the current Satan Beelzebub and the creator of the Evil Pieces, one of the two transcendental beings in the underworld alongside Sirzechs.

Ajuka was a devil devoted to research, a close friend of Sirzechs, and a genius of unparalleled creativity.

August watched Ajuka in surprise. He hadn't been present earlier... when did he arrive?

Before Loki could react further, both he and Fenrir were sealed.

August gazed seriously at Ajuka. Unlike Sirzechs, who was a powerhouse, Ajuka was a prodigy of innovation. He reminded August of Tobirama Senju from Naruto.

While Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage, was more powerful and was hailed as the God of Shinobi alongside Madara Uchiha, Tobirama, the Second Hokage, was the true genius in August's eyes.

Tobirama's strength didn't lie in his bloodline or overwhelming power, but in his extraordinary creativity. His inventions, such as the Flying Thunder God Technique, Shadow Clone Technique, and Edo Tensei, had lasting impacts, shaping the future of the shinobi world.

Ajuka Beelzebub was akin to Tobirama. He created the Evil Pieces, enabling the devils to recover quickly after the Great War and civil unrest. He also established the Rating Game and later, along with Shiva and Tiamat, turned it into an international competition involving various factions.

"Ajuka, thank you for going out of your way."

"It's nothing. I was curious about some things myself, so it wasn't a wasted trip." Ajuka replied, his gaze falling on August.

August felt a chill. Was Ajuka here because of the Demon Pieces?

Ajuka only glanced at him, not probing further, leaving August uncertain.

"Sirzechs, this seal will only hold for a while. It won't be long before it breaks."

"This is troublesome. If it were just Loki, it wouldn't be so bad. But Fenrir is a different story."

Even Sirzechs, a super devil, couldn't underestimate Fenrir. A bite from the beast would be dangerous even for him.

Loki wasn't the main problem. The real threat was Fenrir.
