The day of the completion of the Chicken Coop finally came after straight days of work. And just like what Jacob promised, the coop was finished very quickly. Elaina was impressed at the work itself and for her, the coop is very well made and very good that she didn't regret contracting Jacob for the work.
"I also added Magic Cleaning on this coop that will activate every day by just inserting a magic stone in this slot here. Every morning, it will clean up the coop from dirt like chicken droppings, insects harmful to animals, lice, and ticks, or even granules of chicken feed that drop on the floor. It also cleans up the water from the trough but you have to manually put water yourself, it will just clean up the water for any sort of dirt or droppings it might get in the process. The same goes for the feeding stations as well. Lastly, if the chickens manage to lay eggs, the clean-up process will collect the eggs and put them in the egg container I put inside. This will be something that you will find useful in case you want to avoid the chickens breaking them in the process. Also, if you want me to move this chicken coop to a different area, just tell me and I will do it for a small fee."
"Wow! It even have those features? And you say the fee is still the same?"
"Yes. These features are already included in the payment package so this is nothing much. Don't worry about the additional payment, they are not included."
Hearing that, Elaina is very happy. Not only is the coop a really good investment, but it also has some features that should be expensive to other people who do the same line of work.
Julia inspected the coop with her magic and she also checked the whole place for any sort of weird thing he might have installed, but everything was spotless and things were great. This made Julia change her mind about Jacob.
"Looks like I am wrong in my judgment. Seeing that you delivered what you promised, then we will also deliver our payment as well," Julia nodded as she admired the new chicken coop.
Elaina handed Jacob the pouch containing the gold coins which the latter accepted without hesitation and even counting it.
"You are not counting it?" Elaina asked.
"No. I trust my customers that they paid me right. Of course, if it is lacking, I will come back and ask for the remaining balance. Anyway, I hope you choose to contact me with another work in the future. If you want me to supply wood, stone, iron, building materials, or just any upgrade to any buildings you have, then just visit me at my shop as long as I am open. If I am not open, be sure to come back for another day since I might be working during that time then."
And with that, Jacob left in a hurry. Elaina admired the chicken coop. For the first time, she has something funded from the money she got from farming and although she wanted to have the house repaired, getting the coop is something that they will need in the future.
The only thing left for them is to get some chickens. But with the budget already gone from building the coop, Elaina will have to wait for a few days to gain more money and buy one chicken. It's not going to take long, but it will take a while for them to get their chicken.
"Sis, I will start making the potions then," Julia told Elaina before entering the house.
"Alright. But be sure to rest if you feel tired."
"Okay!"
And with that, Elaina is alone outside. With the project done, Elaina glanced at her plants and soon remembered that she wanted to check for other crops that were present that she could plant for later on.
"Guess I should check the daily missions and the weather for tomorrow so that I can plan on what to do tomorrow."
Summoning the Almanac, she opened the weather tab of the almanac. She was happy that she could do things like this instead of predicting the weather.
"It's going to rain huh? Guess that means I have to do another work inside the house then. Without the raincoat, it is not worth venturing out in the rain."
Elaina scratches her head after learning this. It will rain all day tomorrow which is not a very ideal weather. It's good since she didn't have to water the crops but it is a bit annoying as not only will she have to stay inside for a while, she will have limited time to go outside and do something like foraging.
Learning about this, Elaina flips through the pages and checks the missions for the day. She has been diligently completing the quests every day to ensure that she will receive more Farm Points. Now that she sees the potential of the crops, she should take advantage of it and earn enough money to make a headstart at creating the necessary facilities she will need to have passive income, especially during the days she is no longer able to work.
Flipping through the daily missions, a new mission popped up. And it seems to be part of the weekly mission. She has completed the weekly missions so far and all of them are accumulating every day as they are mostly just doing the amount of work a few times a week. This time around, a new weekly mission appeared and Elaina frowned after seeing the mission details.

Weekly Mission No.4: Tame and Raise a fowl beast
Rewards: 20 Farm Points, 20 Animal Feed
-----
"Tame? A fowl beast no less?"
Elaina is pretty familiar with the term fowl beast. It is a classification of monsters that are considered to be similar to birds or chickens. The only difference is that they are monsters that are very dangerous and have various gimmicks that can endanger the lives of people if they are let loose. Not only that but some even have explosive eggs that grabbing one has a 50% chance that it will explode and become a little bomb in the process. These monsters might be a good alternative for chickens but they are not something that was considered and for people, monsters are meant to be killed and hunted, not tamed. Perhaps some tried taming them and died in the process.
So for the first time she saw this mission, she frowned as this method was something she wasn't sure about.
"Hey, god? I know you are listening to me but...what is this mission? I don't think monsters can be tamed easily and if they are, don't they become dangerous?" Elaina asked, trying to contact the god that supplied the Almanac.
However, it seems someone answered her but it isn't the usual god that talks to her every day. Even the display of the messages that Elaina sees has changed as well. Usually, it was a plain green color, but this time around, it is brown with some cat markings in design. Elaina seems to be weirded out on it.
"[Ah! Sorry about that, dear Elaina. You see, now that you have a chicken coop, it is time for you to utilize the usefulness of the monsters that haven't been used for their best potential!]"
The one talking to her is different in vibes and the way he calls her "Dear Elaina" is something the god she usually talks to doesn't do. Just as she was about to ask who was speaking with her, the usual green screen style appeared before her, just above the brown panel.
"[It's a new update that was added forcefully by the god of taming and adventure. Since she saw you build a coop this time around, she wanted you to also utilize your abilities as a farmer to show the world how to utilize the monsters that are usually just ignored and killed by people to be properly seen as a good alternative to livestock. Don't get confused about who was talking. If you see the green color messages I sent, then you will know it was me talking but if it is brown, then it will be her speaking to you.]"
"Is taming even possible? I heard that those who tried have died trying and so far, no one has succeeded in doing the process and they are professionals in their work."
"[Professional? Ha, that's because they are doing the wrong way on taming. Since this is one of your missions, then I will be giving you instructions on how to tame monsters and how to properly care for them. The Almanac will also add a list of monsters available in the area, their habitat, their produce if tamed and what can they do. Don't worry. With this method, you don't need to buy normal chickens. Instead, you can just haul in a fowlbeast inside a dungeon and bring them as part of your creatures that you will be taking care in the future!]"
