Just Strange...Very, Very Strange

After breakfast, it was time to head over to classes.

None of them attended the same courses, so they had to split up.

To Xavian's dismay as he had really enjoyed being in the company of friends.

However, as he marched over to his class, someone clutched his wrist and dragged him into an alley.

Xavian tensed up, expecting a fight, but sighed when he saw a familiar face.

"Anais?"

Anais was even more beautiful than he had remembered.

Even if it had only been a few hours since he had last seen her.

She had cut her long black hair, making her facial features more prominent.

But the creme de la crème, was her bright yellow eyes.

Soon after turning, Anais' red eyes had turned yellow like Xavian's.

Only seeing her, now made his heart flutter.

Anais used a little too much straight as she slammed him on the wall.

"You're coming with me to the Crimson Ball, right?"

Rubbing his now aching spine, Xavian groaned.

"Sheesh, you're too strong.

Anyways, I've already..."

"We have to go together so that we can look out for each other and make sure that those Clam heads don't find out what we are."

Xavian sighed.

Her reasoning was extremely correct.

With a shrug, the blonde teenager smiled.

"Why not."

As he strutted to his class, Xaviam had a smile on his face.

At the ball, he would be next to Anais for a whole night.

They would stand together, probably take a dance, and if he was lucky, he would probably get a kiss....

"Focus, Xavian!"

"You're going there to ensure that she doesn't attack anyone!"

But still, Anais would be there next to him, so it was exciting nonetheless.

Soon, he was approaching the obsidian door creaked in front of his first class for the day; Magical Theory.

However, before he could twist the handle,...

"Xavian!, Thank goodness I caught you."

The blonde teenager turned.

"Elena?, What are you doing here?"

Elena panted.

"I... have been searching...for you... everywhere!

Would...you...come with me...to the Crimson Ball?"

She must have been running around for a long time.

Vampires were much more faster and resilient than humans, thus they rarely got tired or exhausted.

Xavian sighed and folded his arms.

"Why didn't you just ask Nein?, He was right there with you."

Elena was still trying to catch her breath as she answered.

"He... says he's... going to be... busy!"

Xavian nodded.

"I see ..."

However, Elena did not let him finish as she was on the run once again.

"I'll just take it as a yes!, Now I'm really, really late so we'll see later.

Bye!"

Xavian was confused.

When had he even agreed in the first place?.

"Hey!, I didn't say Yes!!"

But Elena was too far away to hear him.

The blonde teenager shook his head as he rubbed his forehead.

"What am I going to tell Anais?"

Then he remembered that he had told Yvonne that he would go with her.

"What the hell have I gotten myself into?!!"

***

After classes, during which Xavian had to mentally command Breanne to not call him 'My Lord', Xavian went over to the school drycleaner.

However, on his way down, a familiar scent wafted into his nostrils.

It smelled like...him.

Anais would be in her dorms, and he was there, so who the hell would have the scent of a dhampir?

Out of curiosity, the blonde teenager followed the scent to a deserted dark alley.

Xavian stopped at the entrance of the space.

"What's up with me and deserted alleys these days?"

But he was a little bit confident in his ability to escape if things were to go south.

"You're finally here."

A deep masculine voice called out from the alley.

Xavian could see two glowing pairs of puplis staring at him.

It wasn't a new thing as all vampires had glow in the dark eyes, but the eyes of this mysterious stranger were glowing in a bright yellow.

Xavian tensed up.

He had never met another dhampir before.

However, his jaw dropped as the figure walked out of the darkness.

The figure.... belonged to him.
