Disappointing Iron Monger

After I got my suit off, I went back to Tony's shop to laugh at him due to him not being able to take the suit off.

He didn't use my design because "he could do it better."

And not he's facing the facts and I love it.

I even made popcorn.

When Pepper came down to see what the noise was and she seen Tony, amazing her face was priceless.

"let's face it this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing."

"What is the worse thing?"

"We won't be…"

"Are those bullet holes?"

"I can explain."

Watching him try to explain the bullet holes away was the best part of the day.

The next day, when I woke up as I was eating breakfast, Pepper came up to me and asked if I wanted to go out to know each other a little better and be in the public.

I really didn't want to go out in the public but apparently Tony already agreed so it was more of a let's do it then question.

Luckily, this time we didn't go shopping we just went to a small restaurant and hung out.

I surprisingly enjoyed my time, it's not that I don't like her I do, it's just that I enjoy my peace and quiet in the mansion.

After we both were content with our food we move the conversation to the car and headed back to the mansion.

Once inside me and Pepper went to go see what Tony was doing.

As we entered his workshop, he was working on the upper half of his armor.

"Tinkering with the armor?"

"Yeah after our," he looked at Pepper " father daughter bonding time yesterday, I found a few bugs I want to work out."

"Great bonding activity."

"Agreed."

Pepper sent a glare to both of us.

Tony cleared his voice. "Did you two enjoy your time out?"

"Of course aunt pepper is amazing."

She smiled "I agree."

Tony looked hurt. "She's aunt Pepper and I'm still just Tony? Call me dad."

"Yep she is. no I won't. I'll call you old man."

"I'll take Tony.

Hey Pepper, are you busy after this? I need you to go to my office. You're going to hack into the mainframe and you're going to retrieve all resent shipping manifest."

He hands her a hard drive.

"This is a lock chip. It should get you in. It's probably under executive files.. if not, that means they probably put it on a ghost drive and you need to look for the lowest numeric heading."

"What do you plan on doing with this information if I bring it back here?"

"Same drill. They're dealing under the table and I have to stop them. I'll find my weapons and destroy them."

"Are you going to drag her into this also?"

"I'm not being dragged into anything I volunteered."

"If she wishes, help Is welcomed."

"Tony. You know I would help you with almost anything but I cannot help you if you're gonna start all of this."

"There's nothing except this. There's no art opening, There's no benefits, There's nothing to sign, there's only the mission."

"Is that so? Then I quit. I cannot be part of this if you're gonna get yourself killed. Get both of you killed."

" You stood by my side all these years well, I reaped the benefits of destruction. And now that I'm trying to protect the people that I put in harms way, You're gonna walk out?"

"Yes. Those were bullet holes in that suit, You might be protecting others, but you're gonna get yourself killed in the process."

She put the drive down and walked to the door.

"I shouldn't be alive, But I am, and there must be a reason for it. I'm not crazy Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do." She grabbed the drive and walked closer to Tony.

"You are all I have to you know."

I would have tried to butt into the conversation, but it looks like they were really having a moment. Now that it's over, I want to go with Pepper.

"Tony. I can go with her as protection."

"That would actually be great. You can just say Pepper is showing you the office."

I looked at Pepper. " let's leave."

"Ok. Let me grab something from my workshop first."

I ran in and grabbed my armor and stored it using Gluttony as a just in case.

Then I met Pepper at the car and we went off to the office.

As we were pulling into Stark industries, I was quite amazed at how big it actually is.

We parked in a special area and then took an elevator straight up to the CEO's office.

We went in and sat at the desk and plugged in the drive, and bypassed the security to pull up the files needed.

While downloading, she started to look through them, and that's when we found the file for Obadiah's Armor.

(how's that possible? I killed the boss he shouldn't have been able to buy the blueprints or steal the armor?)

(Unknown. Probable guess. he went and just took it since no one was there.)

(So all I did was make it easier for him. Good to know.)

Once me and Pepper were done watching Tony's Ransom video, Obadiah walked into the room.

"So, what are we gonna do about this?"

I looked at the screen and noticed its not done downloading and decided to delay him,

"Hey Obadiah, It's good to see you I heard a lot about you, but unfortunately Tony kept me away."

He looked at Pepper then back to me then put a smile on his face.

"Yeah,I'm finally able to talk to you. I've tried many times and unfortunately Our clocks."

" yeah, pepper was coming to finish some work for dad and I've never seen the companies main building so I decided to join. I'm glad I ran into you though."

"How so?"

"Dads always busy and never tells me anything about this business. I want to know more about it since one day It'll be mine."

(I know that'll make him mad so I had to add it.)

(You'd be correct. His eye twitched as soon as you started your sentence.)

I kept the conversation going until Pepper got up and went towards the door.

"Sorry, it looks like Pepper is ready to leave so I must go."

"Nonsense it fine. we can chat anytime, I hope we can have a friendship like your fathers and grandfathers."

I smiled. "That'd be lovely."

I met Pepper at the door. " Thanks for the save."

"Anytime."

"Wait!"

We stopped and looked back at him.

"Is that today's newspaper?"

Pepper handed it to him.

"Puzzle. You ladies have a nice day."

(is Colson in the building?)

(Affirmative.)

(in the lobby?)

(Yes.)

(Good.)

"Let's go through the lobby."

"It's quicker to take the elevator."

"Trust me you want to."

As we walked down the stairs Colson spoke before Pepper seen him but when she seen him she realized why I wanted to go through here.

" Ms Potts? We had an appointment did you forget?"

"Nope, right now. Come with me."

"Right now?"

I smiled. "Yep, right now. I'd keep up."

"I'm coming."

" I told you I'd get someone here."

"You're going to get the meeting of your life."

" it is going to be fun."

We went to the Shield building around Stark industries to get backup.

On the way out of there building Pepper called Tony to only hear a ear piercing noise.

(Is he in the house?)

(Yes. Would you like me to lock him in?)

(No that's dangerous for Tony with him unable to move.)

(Would you like me to do anything?)

(Make sure Tony gets a reactor.)

We made it to the factory and found section 16 after a few tries using a key card we used a small charge to blow the lock.

The Shield agents pulled out there gun and I got out my sword.

Pepper looked at me. "Where did you get the sword?"

"Out of thin air."

Pepper was the first one to find him and luckily ran out of the room in time. I followed to the door to make sure she was fine, and when I turned around I got back handed through the ceiling into the parking lot.

I wasn't expecting that.

I just layed on the ground for a moment knowing he would come up right away.

When Pepper made it outside she was on the phone with Tony.

"Oh my god are you ok Rimuru?"

"Yeah." I got up. "I just didn't expect to be thrown through steel and concrete."

"How are you." Rumble…

There he is.

"Where do you think you're going? And how are you alive?

doesn't matter your guises services are no longer needed."

I got my sword and got into a ready position and also waiting to activate gluttony just in case, Tony doesn't make it a time.

"STAIN!!" Ting!

Bingo on time. I released my suit and threw the sword inside at the same time.

(Open.)

I walked to the suit then through it, to stand inside. You see I made it where there's a bunch of tiny retractable holes so I can turn slimy and walk straight inside.

I looked at Pepper and opened the mask.

"Find a place to hide, Me and Tony will get this."

" How did you do that?"

I closed the mask. "Tony will explain later." And shot off.

When I caught up, Obadiah had a car over his head like he was about to smash it onto Tony.

"Hey! Mr. Clean!"

I flew and Instead of landing on my feet, I landed on my knees, sliding towards Obadiah. I started to spin, in one mid spin I release my sword and attack his ankle with the blunt side, forcing him on his face and dropping the car.

Tony grabbed the car and went to his knees. When he set the car down, the driver floored it, forcing Tony to sink underneath.

I flew up and sent my thread to wrap around him and pull him out.

("I have to keep saving you.")

("Won't happen again. And smooth moves.)

("Incoming.")

Obi came in quick and tried to hit both of us but I ducked under while Tony got hit.

I noticed a bus full of people.

("Keep him busy, there's civilians near by.")

He got hit again.

(" what do you think I'm doing?")

As I ran by him to go help he was laying on the ground from being hit.

("Being lazy you're laying on the ground.")

I went inside and used my speed to move everyone to a safe distance.

As I grabbed the last person and went out the door, Tony came flying into the bus.

(" Watch yourself you almost hit me.")

(" I'm going to ground you after this.")

Boom!!

("You ok?")

("Yeah I'm going to take him up.")

"Impressive but I've made some improvements of my own."

I flew up and looked over to Stark industries and noticed Pepper still Standing in the parking lot.

("Take him up, I'm going to get Pepper just in case.")

("Go! I got him ")

I flew over to pepper and wrap my hands around her.

"For your safety keep your hands and feet on me at all times."

"Wha." Then we went air born.

I took her a few streets away. Then went and grabbed the downed agents to do the same.

(" I need your help. I'm almost out of power.")

("On my way, please don't Die.")

("I'll try.")

I flew back and noticed smoke above stark industries and used shadow movement on the side of the building to grab Tony and move him to the ground.

"Stay here I'll take him by myself."

I flew back up before he could say anything.

"very clever, Tony."

"I'm not Tony but I'm pretty sure he'd agree."

I took out my sword and ran my hand across it and lit it on fire.

"You really won't be much of a challenge, but I'll still enjoy it.

He went to grab me and I jumped on his arm, took two steps to his elbow, jumped and increased the heat on the sword then slashed it off at the elbow."

"You little nuisance."

He fired his mini gun at me for me to just Use gluttony.

" you know I don't know if to praise you, or spite you, when you sent out that hit you brought out a superhero, a hero who will save the world many times."

I was saying this, while I was ducking under punches and kicks and bouncing all around him.

"Stand still."

"Thanks for idea."

He took a step and was unable to move, and in my hand I was holding a piece of thread.

"Release me at once. How am I unable to move?"

"Very simple while I was talking I was setting a trap for you your trapped in my sticky steel thread, and all I have to do is flex my finger and you. Pop!"

"Now little girl you won't kill me, I saw you save all those people on the street."

"Innocents yes. And you aren't innocent."

I noticed Tony was making his way up to me.

"Times up." Ting, ting, ting. {sorry best metal hitting ground noice I could think of.}

Tony walked through the door without his helmet and right glove.

"Why is there a flaming Forearm on the ground?"

"Oh." I waved my hand and the flames disappeared. "Better?"

"Where's Stain?"

I pointed in many places around the roof.

"You can be scary some times."
