At the sound of Ruth Dawn's voice, Eloise Torres, with a face mask on, came out. She looked somewhat annoyed: "What are you yelling about?"

"It's late and I just finished eating and I'm putting on a face mask."

Ruth Dawn was infuriated. She glared: "A face mask?"

"It's such a crucial time, and you are still concerned with face masks."

"Did you go to the hospital in the afternoon?"

Eloise Torres nonchalantly nodded: "So what if I did?"

Fury was apparent in Ruth's eyes: "Who told you to go to the hospital? Do you even know that Valerie tried to slit her wrist tonight?

"If the nurse hadn't found her in time, Valerie would be gone."

"What exactly are you trying to do? Valerie has already severed her ties with you as a mother. Why are you still trying to mess with her emotionally?"

Upon hearing her daughter's reproach, Eloise Torres's face darkened.

"I'm your mother, what right do you have to criticize me?"
