Chapter 41: Two kings

A few days had passed by and today was the day they were going to La'faura. Timothy was already equiped with everything he needed for the journey . He put on the hood and left the room with the little fox right behind him , they had reached a certain level of understanding since they were both stuck together

" I think you should turn into something unnoticeable" he looked at the little fox as they made their way to meet the others outside of their castle

" Nope no can do " the fox responded , Timothy shook his head

Outside the castle Finn was standing before the blades waiting for Timothy to arrive . The doors opened and Timothy stepped out with his little fox behind him

"Good you are a here , well it's time to go" they all looked at Finn

"Uhm my Lord where are the carriages?" Komoni asked

"Who said anything about traveling in a carriage ?" Finn smiled as he looked at the sky , they all raised their heads and saw a small dot approaching them but the more it got close the more it got bigger until they were all covered in it's shadow , a huge hawk like creature landed behind Finn the creature was so huge even their castle was only half it's size , everybody stared at it with wide eyes and Finn chuckled

"This is who we will be traveling on , her name's kora she's a hybrid between a yalungar and a thunderbird" Finn explained as he brushed the Giant bird's feathers that seemed to generate small sparks of lightning

"Why is it so huge?" Dan asked

"Oh this isn't it's full size it's still an infant "Finn answered shocking everyone

" Let's get going people !" Elaine jumped down from the bird landing gracefully

" Captain and bald head come " Elaine gestured for them to hold on to her before leaping and landing gracefully on top of the bird

"My Lord bring those three " Finn looked at the three boys before sighing

"Come on " the trio shook their heads as they all prepared to climb the bird on their own

Lightning crackled around Jake who had raised his finger towards the back of the bird and he released a bolt of lightning that shot straight above the bird , once the bolt appeared above the bird Jake disappeared from where he was standing and appeared above the bird's back where the bolt was and he reached out his hand for Elaine to grab and he landed on top of the bird , meanwhile a soft and gentle breeze carried Lus to the top of the bird steadily and he landed on it's back . Timothy turned to look at the fox with pleading eyes

"Ughh fine but you owe me for this " timothy nodded watching the fox transform into a dire wolf

"Get on " Timothy rode the wolf and it ran to the bird climbing it so fast timothy wanted to curse at the hateful fox

"Show offs" Finn leapt towards the bird and landed on it's back joining the others

"Everyone put up a barrier against the wind or else you'll be ripped to shreds... Kora take off " the bird took off and Finn also extended out his aura in order to shield everyone from the strong winds

Elaine passed Finn a crystal the size of a head , Finn took the crystal and channeled breath into it before throwing it Infront of them and doing multiple hand seals, the crystal stopped and started rotating creating a massive portal , when kora saw the Portal her speed picked up and Sonic boom could be head behind them as she had just broke through the sound barrier and went straight inside the portal

"Boom boom boom" is what could be heard by the people of the capital as the Portal closed

"Slow down" Finn instructed kora through their mind link after coming out of a portal above Sondor

Finn sat down with the others after instructing kora of where they were going , nobody spoke ad they were all concentrating on the beautiful view of the world below . Timothy looked at the fox before instructing him to turn into something unnoticeable , the fox didn't fight him immediately turning into a dagger and everyone looked at Timothy with envy before looking back at the view

"Beautiful isn't it? Now imagine this whole scenary filled with blood and dead bodies because if the war breaks out that is what is going to happen to our kingdom , blood will fill the rivers , bodies of innocent people will be spread out on the ground . And I as the king can't allow that." All of them could feel the seriousness of the issue , Timothy was even more frustrated since he knew that this war was just a product of the fear of the gods

"Look we are almost at the border " Elaine pointed at the dead forest ahead of them , this place that used to be a forbidden area was now nothing more than a wasteland

"So this is what remains of the blood forest? It's hard to believe that this was caused by the 5 of you." Finn laughed making them feel slightly embarrassed

They flew above the entire forest within a short span of time , and soon they could see a huge mountain range that had no visible end and on one particular mountain was a tall palace that disappeared Into the clouds , the kingdom of La'faura seemed to be established on this mountain range. Since the kingdom seemed to be built on a mountain range the buildings and houses all had complex architectural designs with a fantasy type of elegance , they flew to the bottom of the mountain range and landed on a huge landing platform that had guards stationed at the sides with a huge set of stairs , Timothy and the others quickly got off the stead

" King Zaloz our Lord has been expecting you, you may follow me " the man went up the stairs with Finn and the rest following behind

From up close the could now see the true beauty of this mountain kingdom , the kingdom had many connecting staircases that the citizens used to travel around , the use of flying steeds was not permitted to anyone but the king's council , the buildings seemed to be made from whitestone with the roofing consisting of cedar shakes with a metal accent but the commoners houses incorporated rustic details such as exposed beams , large porches and stone chimneys , most of the citizens dressed in fur clothing to protect themselves from the cold air of the mountains

They walked for about an hour before reaching the top of the mountain range and stood at the gates of the palace

"Wait here" the man ran into the the tall palace , Timothy looked down below and he couldn't see anything because the clouds were blocking his view .

"This place is beautiful"komoni spoke taking in the scenary around her , the majestic palace that seem to be made of silver , the hot springs by the side , everything looked enchantingly beautiful

"It sure is " Elaine also looked around , the doors to the palace opened and a dozen men cam out with the one Infront wearing a surcoat with an insignia of the La'faura kingdom which showed two snakes on the wrapped around a sword , the man also had a gold crown on his head with a calm look on his face . He stood before Finn and they both locked gazes

"King Zaloz it is an honor to have you in my kingdom" the man extended his hand out for a greeting

"The honor is mine king Dupres " Finn shook his hands

"These are my Doom generals I'm sure you have heard many great things about them" Elvis pointed at the people behind him

"Uh yes I have , and these are my Blades " Finn pointed at Timothy's group

"The infamous KING'S BLADES , we have all heard the tales. Let's go inside " Elvis led the way

They made their way to the courtyard and the two kings sat down on the table while their men stood behind them

"I prefer to talk over some wine , general fetch us some of my finest wine" the general left and quickly returned with a jug inscribed in runes and two bowls

King Dupres poured the wine in the bowls and handed one to Finn

"Now we can begin" the two man drank from the bowls

" The reason I requested this meeting lord Dupres is for us to discuss the negative effects this war is gonna have on our kingdoms" Elvis refilled their bowls 

"And what negative effects are those lord Zaloz because both you and I know that this war is inevitable , it was written that this war will happen thousands of years ago" Finn kept calm 

"Think about the amount of people that will die , all this for what ? A prophecy ? Come on lord Dupres if there is a a person who will have power that can rival the gods aren't we supposed to be supporting him instead of fighting one another" Elvis chuckled and so did the generals behind him 

" Lord Zaloz you think we don't know that your god has forsaken you? That Zebha hasn't been responding to your people's prayers ? That is why you traveled all the way here because you know your god won't aid you in this war . So why waste time fighting a war that you won't win and instead just give up your kingdom to me after all lord Zaloz there might be nothing to return to , that's if you will be able to return " Elvis spoke and the 11 generals spread out surrounding Finn and the rest 

" What is the meaning of this lord Dupres ?" Finn spoke in anger 

"This lord Zaloz is war. Right now my allies have already arrived at the capital of your kingdom , with the former king gone who is going to protect Zebha from me. " Finn started laughing 

" You are correct about one thing Lord Dupres this is war, and war is fought by us not gods "after Finn spoke they all heard a loud explosion and the ground trembled 

"Tell me Elvis Dupres why did you think I would come into enemy territory unprepared ! Elaine know!" Elaine leapt into the air and screamed " blinding lights" light burst out of her body blinding the whole court 

And by the time it faded Finn and the rest were already gone and the ground had split in two as debris from the palace fell in the court yard , the magnificent palace was now full of cracks and littered with the bodies of maid servants and guards crushed by the falling debris , some house below the palace had survived but some were destroyed beyond recognition

Elvis cleared the dust with a wave of his hand and looked at the destruction Finn had brought to his kingdom before smiling "I want his head " 

Finn and the others were sitting on top of kora as the bird flew towards Zebha at top speed 

"That went perfectly , you did well Kora" Finn stroked the Giant bird's feathers

"So that was the true purpose of our trip ? But what about our kingdom?"Jake spoke as he looked towards the La'faurian mountain range 

"Yes , dont worry about that I had placed contingencies against any attack . I believe the culprits behind the destruction of four of our cities are already apprehended" Finn spoke with a smile
