Kingdom in Danger

Ife had just visited her mother to check on her well-being. Luckily, she was recovering. However, the downside was that once she recovered, she would find out what had been happening in the palace - her son taking over the throne and his affair with the second queen.

People had started been whispering, rumors spreading like wildfire. Although no one dared to mention it in front of the queen or the king, that didn't stop them from gossiping about the abomination.

He was the king now. If he was crowned before she get to witness that demonicside of him , she wouldn't have had a problem with it. But not now. He seemed like an evil spirit, perhaps having assumed her brother's identity to enter the palace. To make matters worse, the person next to him was the one who had murdered her father.

Ife bit her lip, determined not to cry or show any signs of weakness. Now was not the time to wail and shed tears; it was time to act swiftly.
