chapter 20 : Dealing with Feminists

The next day the large convoy took the road to leave and Calvin had already warned the survivors that they will have sport with all the cars on their way that they will have to move.

The convoy had four scouts on motorcycles at the front to prevent hordes or traffic jams.

Calvin wanted to minimize clashes so in their saddlebags, the bikers had firecrackers to divert the hordes and clear the way.

They communicated through walkie-talkies to transmit information efficiently.

 It was out of the question for them to go back to Atlanta because of the potential traffic jams they would encounter on the highway.

They were going to drive to Macon where they will rest and refuel before follow route 129 to Athens where they'll do the same thing.

After these steps, the convoy took Route 29 to arrive in South Carolina and drive to Greenville where they rested to refuel and search a few places, Calvin had judged that the men had to get used to killing walkers in doing inspections.

 Until then, the trip was going fairly well, they found around twenty survivors, even including children. There were certainly others but they didn't have time to search and only the ones that were really useful were accepted.

The rest, they left some food and found safe places with fences for them to survive. Those who were accepted were people who had very useful knowledge and skills.

It was sad, it was unfair but it was a convoy with limited places. The group will be able to welcome survivors at will when they are well established in Washington.

 The convoy had diverted 5 hordes from the roads thanks to the bikers and their firecrackers who gave the hordes new directions.

Looters and hostile survivors had seen the convoy but when they saw the reinforced buses and the turrets attached to the vehicles, they preferred to stay in their corners.

Greenville was a little paradise rich in water where the King's water tank and reserves were happily made full of.

Calvin had stopped the convoy for two weeks so that the survivors could really rest, he parked the vehicles near a very luxurious hotel where they would stay.

 Cal sent Lee and other survivors to check the areas for a few minutes, several gunshots were heard.

This put Calvin and the others on alert as Killing walkers in a building did not require the use of firearms because they were effective enough with their piercing sticks , especially since Lee was with them.

 [Calvin, we have been attacked] Lee said while using his Walkie Talkie.

 Cal: [Who are the enemies and where are they]

 Lee: [A group of women on the upper floors. They are quite numerous, have firearms and took us by surprise, I managed to quickly take shelter in one of the rooms and we are ready to shoot. Danh was hit in the leg and lost blood but he was given a strong tourniquet. They shot to kill ]

 Calvin: [Alright, stay where you are. They know you are armed and are waiting for them too so they won't charge stupidly. They were waiting for us, that means they saw us arriving.]

 He had barely finished his sentence when a woman in her forties in military clothing came out from one of the balconies with a loudspeaker and two armed girls at her side.

Calvin immediately asked the others to get into the vehicles in case there were snipers.

 Woman: I Lieutenant Diana Perry and I own this place with my sisters. Men are not welcome here and we are holding several of your people captive. Your convoy is large, leave your supplies as well as your women and girls, we will take care of them but the men will have to leave and clear our city before nightfall otherwise your men will die.

 Calvin also looked at her with amusement and took a small speaker from the King.

 Calvin: Madam, first we say hello but you shot my men so yeah I guess politeness is no longer necessary. You are not holding my men captive but they have taken cover and are ready to shoot if you approach. You could have just asked us to leave but you shot us and I don't really like that. One of my men was hit in the leg, can I know who did this?!

 "It's me, fortunately he moved very quickly otherwise this useless man would have died, I really missed my opportunity !" A blonde woman with sunglasses said amusedly while holding up an 1886 Winchester.

 Calvin: I'm happy with it, it means that his training was not in vain. What is your name ?

 Blonde: Rachel.

 Calvin: Rachel, I care about each of my survivors, each of them has their usefulness and importance but you wanted to kill Dahn who has a daughter barely 7 years old in my convoy because of your idiotic feminism. I'm going to kill you today Rachel. Very well ladies, have one minute to put down your weapons and after that, I will come myself and kill those who are still armed.

 Diana: MEN'S GARBAGE! DO YOU THINK WE'RE SCARED OF YOU?! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT WE WENT THROUGH FOR-(ignored)

 Cal returned to his Truck to get ready, ignoring the woman's screams.

 Reyes: What are you going to do?

 Calvin: Go out to kill Rachel and anyone who tries to play gangsta.

 Reyes: You're not embarrassed to kill women ?!

 Calvin: They are not women but armed enemies who shot my men. I don't lack common sense, but what I sorely lack is pity. Sweetheart, I really don't care if they are women because those who threaten the people under my protection will die.

 Reyes: Like the group that threatened the group at the farm. At least let us take up arms.

 "out of the question" he said before taking his walkie-talkie and passing the information on the same frequency to everyone else.

 Cal: [Listen to me, you guys, I'm going to go settle the score with these crazy people and bring back our men. Do not get out of the vehicles until I give you the order, I will not risk the lives of my men without having tried something myself, We are not at war. I taught you to fight against other humans as a last resort, but if anyone has to get their hands dirty and take the first risks, it's the leader of the group first and no one else. I'm not asking for your opinion, just wait for orders.]

 Calvin came out of there in his black hooded poncho with his saber in his hand and without even worrying about the opinion of his men.

 "Ladies, I've given you enough time to think about your survival, it only takes a few seconds to drop your weapon on the ground." he said before starting to calmly walk towards the hotel as armed women who were stationed on the balconies started shooting at him.

With an amused smile, he quickly ran in a zigzag fashion avoiding the shots as the girls alerted their comrades.

They were afraid, they had never seen someone move so fast and they were right to be afraid.

 Calvin's men also watched the scene in amazement; they had already seen Calvin massacre walkers, but here he was completely dodging shots like in a scene from an action movie.

It was completely surreal, unthinkable and above all incredible. They had a whole new picture of their leader's Skills .

 Cal drew his silenced pistol and fired with every dodge he made, one bullet for one head and in just a few moments, he carried out a terrifying massacre.

The first 5 women were shot in a few movements and it terrified the others who called Diana and the other women to assist them but he killed 7 more with rapid fire.

 This time, they understood two things, the first was that Calvin had not lied when he said he was going to kill them and the second that he had the strength but also the cruelty.

He ended up entering the hotel by breaking down the main door with a powerful kick then he looked towards the upper floors before starting to run up the stairs reloading his gun when one of the armed women came out a corner and he threw the empty magazine of his gun at her which embedded itself in the woman's forehead, killing her instantly.

 Calvin arrived on the 4th floor where there were those who had hidden in certain rooms and they were completely overcome by terror.

 Cal: What's wrong ladies?! I thought you weren't afraid of a pathetic man like me. However, I gave you time to surrender because I only had one of you to kill, Rachel.

 He heard crying voices everywhere and that made him smile, these women saw their comrades die easily by his hand and terror invaded them.

 Cal: I'll give you one last chance, put down your weapons and walk out slowly with your hands raised. Men or women, I do not want to kill more than necessary and I only have Rachel to kill among you. If in 20 seconds you have not surrendered then I will completely exterminate you.

 "You give us your word?!" » Diana asked in a trembling voice.

 Calvin: You have my word that you will all live if you surrender. All except Rachel of course.

 Diana: You've already killed several of my sisters ! That's not enough for you?!

 Calvin: Are you stupid?! They were the ones who started shooting at me.

 Diana: Then take me instead.

 "Diana No…"

 " No way "

 Calvin: Just do what I ask. Yet I gave you the choice when you shot at us for no reason.

 Diana: You don't know what the other men did here. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DID TO US.

 "You have 10 seconds to do what I asked " Cal said and immediately he heard the sounds of guns on the ground as the remaining 21 women came out.

There were many of them but they were not ready to face death, Calvin had shown them that he was not a normal human and they were terrified.

 Calvin: (picks up the radio) [Lee can you hear me?! How is Danh]

 Lee: [He's still there, the bleeding has since stopped]

 Calvin: [Take him back to Christina and the other doctors in the group, they will treat him. Also ask Molly to come to the 4th floor with several survivors and Danh's daughter]

 Within minutes, Molly was already there with several armed men and women, ready to fight so many of the women were already over their stress.

Danh's daughter Rose was 7 years old and when she saw Calvin, she rushed to him to carry her. He used to play with the children in the group, teach them things or give them candy.
