I thought of the diamond ring Jones had given me, and a pang of pain shot through my heart.
I didn't know how long it would take for me to be able to chat with him like a friend again. Until he put aside his past, that would be impossible.
"Are you feeling sorry for him?" Damon suddenly asked coldly, with a sense of indifference in his voice.
"No "I snapped out of my thoughts and replied casually
"Haha," Damon laughed coldly. "Feeling sorry is feeling sorry. What's there to deny? He's indeed a good guy, worth feeling a bit sorry for, but sadly, he's not right for you"
When it came to me and Jones, the least qualified person to comment was Damon
I got mad and retorted angrily, "Is there a man in this world who suits me less than you do?"
Damon turned his head to look at me immediately, there was something bleak in his eyes that scared me a bit. I pretended not to notice and quietly gazed at the scenery outside the window.
