Invitation from the Kingdom of Terravalle

Inside a meeting room in the city hall, Blanc and an envoy from the Terravalle Kingdom sat across from each other.

However, this time, the envoy wasn't Anderson Terravalle. It was a middle-aged man who had similar features to Anderson.

"Hello, Sir Envoy, welcome to Resonance City. I'm Blanc Rougenfort, Resonance City's City Lord."

"Hello City Lord Blanc, thank you for the warm reception. I'm Andrei Terravalle, I believe you've already met my father before.

"Ahh…Yes, Sir Anderson, correct?"

"Correct, Anderson Terravalle is my father."

"I see, what brings you here today sir Andrei?"

Blanc asked

"I am here under the orders of King Terravalle IX. The current situation is grim for everyone in our region; however, I cannot discuss the matter here."

"My king will be the one to discuss everything with you. My job here today is to invite you back to the Terravalle Kingdom because my king wishes to meet you."

The envoy bowed upon stating his request to Blanc.

"Hmm…I need to leave my territory for a few months if I meet with your king…Give me a few days, then I will go with you."

"Much appreciated city lord Blanc. Apologies about the long travel time, I shall request my king to build roads to make our trips much faster and easier next time."

For the next three days, Blanc focused on his tasks and made sure to prepare the necessary instructions for Alenna for Resonance City to run smoothly for a few months even without him.

After making sure that everything is fine in his territory, Blanc walks to the training grounds to find Helena and asks her to be his escort during this audience.

Then, Blanc and Helena approached the envoy and notified him that they were ready to leave.

The envoy quickly prepared the caravan.

After half an hour, the caravan was ready so Blanc and Helena boarded it.

The two of them were a little excited to visit the Terravalle Kingdom. After all, the Terravalle Kingdom is a tier 4 kingdom and isn't comparable at all to the Dumont Dukedom or the Lockridge Kingdom.

Blanc and Helena wondered what the Capital City of Terravalle Kingdom looked like compared to their Resonance City.

After everyone was ready, the carriage left.

A month and a half quickly passed, and on the way, they talked about a lot of things with the envoy. Due to this, they got to know the Terravalle Kingdom and its king a little bit better.

A few more days passed and a huge bustling city with a thick and tall stone wall appeared on the horizon.

"It seems like we still have a long way to go"

Blanc muttered to himself. Just seeing the huge walls of Braxford City impressed him already.

Although there were only normal ballistas installed on top of the city walls, there were at least a hundred just from the direction they were coming from.

In addition to this, there were many archers patrolling the city walls and there were a few watchtowers built on top of high vantage points.

Due to this, Blanc got a few ideas on how to develop his city further.

However, his thoughts were cut short after a guard circled them to check the caravan.

After confirming that it was indeed an envoy's caravan, the guards didn't make it too hard for them and let them proceed.

Once inside, Blanc and Helena got a clearer and close-up view of the city.

The citizens were smiling as children played together on the wide streets made from marble which can accommodate six carriages side by side.

Due to the happy atmosphere, it can be concluded that King Terravalle is a compassionate man.

Aside from that, there were many shops of notable names all over the city.

Nobles' carriages were parked in front of restaurants and prestigious shops while most of the citizens wore decent clothes.

There was little to no poverty inside the city. Although ordinary citizens weren't able to eat meat every time they wanted to, they could still eat meat from time to time.

Blanc's attention was captured by rectangular wooden boxes which can be found inside most of the shops.

It seems that their Resonance brand Eternal Ice Room Coolers and Eternal Ice Portable Freezers were very famous inside Braxford City.

After a while, they passed through the huge plaza in the middle of the city. Benches were installed at different corners of the plaza along with a huge but beautiful water fountain in the middle.

Blanc is getting more and more inspiration on how to improve his city as he passes through the streets of Braxford City.

After a few more minutes of traveling, they finally arrived in front of the castle.

Blanc and Helena's expressions turned serious. They didn't know the actual intentions of King Terravalle IX so they should at least be vigilant.

The two of them got down from the carriage as requested by Andrei then he walked in front of them as they entered the luxurious castle.

Upon entering the gates of the castle, Blanc and Helena were shocked by how luxurious the castle was.

There were royal guards stationed everywhere and there was a small flower field in front of the castle.

Blanc and Helena walked on the path in the middle of the flower fields and after a few minutes of walking, they arrived in front of a huge door made from adamantite.

How luxurious and efficient!

Adamantite is widely known as the toughest metal in this world and it requires not only a master blacksmith but also a special procedure before it can be used.

Seeing such a huge door made of adamantite is indeed very shocking even for Blanc.

This huge door was not only luxurious, it was also efficient in battle. In the case that the enemies manage to enter the vicinity of the castle, they would have a hard time breaking through this adamantite door.

After a few more minutes of walking, they finally arrived in front of another adamantite door. This room seems to be where King Terravalle IX is.

Blanc took a deep breath, opened the door, and entered.
