Oak and Bell were standing close to the entrance of the green house where they were waiting for the governor. But it was not her that their eyes fell on, it was the other governor.
"Good morning general." Oak greeted Esong first but his neck craned, looking behind him for traces of the governor who understood what they did.
"She is not coming." Esong told Oak with a small smile on his face.
"Oh," the big man's face frowned, and he appeared to be crestfallen.
"That's too bad." Bell mumbled.
"I am glad to see that my presence give you two old fellows reassurance." Esong said sarcastically.
"You can't blame us, we wanted her to see the work we have toiled for." Oak said.
"All through the winter." Bell added.
"We braved the freezing cold snow." Oak said in a mournful voice.
"And fought off mutated beasts." Bell added.
