Adam
I was standing in The Regency Ballroom talking to my mother younger sister Sasha. she was a bestfriend to Grace and so like me she hated Amanda.
"you know I am glad you divorced Amanda, I hated her and she probably even had surgery to look like her." My sister sneered. before I could say a word there was a commotion outside. I knew who it was, it was the Bluerose family. over the past 5 years they had gone from multi billionaires to trillionaires. mostly due to a secret CEO. the only thing anyone knew was that they were a woman.
we walked outside and sure enough a limo came rolling up and stopped right in front. the door opened and out stepped Thomas and Camilla. they stepped to the side and a woman that I hade spent six years torturing. my ex-wife Amanda, but she wasn't alone. walking up next to her were four little ones. three boys and one girl, and the all had one thing in common...me.
How dare that woman leave and take my children with her. I could feel the anger boil inside me. I grabbed her arm as she walked by.
"Amanda you have a lot of explaining to do." I said trying to calm down.
"darling is everything alright?" Thomas asked glaring at me.
"Yes daddy but please take them inside will you?" Amanda asked him smiling sweetly. that same smile she used to give me.
"mommy please be careful." one little boy said. he seemed like he was the oldest.
"Yeah and if he bullies you then we will come and kick hi butt." the little girl said glaring at me. for some reason her eyes reminded me of Grace.
"OK now go with Grammy and Grammpy." She said giggling. once they were out of site she yanked her arm from me.
"why didn't you tell me about them?" I asked her as I turned to face her.
"would you have let me have them if I did?" She asked as her kind warm expression had disappeared and was replaced by one filled with saddness and pain. I thought for a moment but she seem to know the answer. "exactly and there used to be 5 of them, two girls three boys, but you fixed that."
I was speechless as the look on her face turned to ice cold.
"you might want to go inside my dear EX-husband I have several more surprises for everyone." She said coldly. then she turned and walked inside. I don't know how but I made inside and over to my family's table and sat next to my sister.
"brother what's wrong?" Sasha asked worriedly. "did that evil woman say something?"
"no she isn't evil and it's my fault." I whispered through tears.
"brother your making no sense." She said trying to calm me down.
before I could say another word Thomas grabbed a microphone and began his speech.
"welcome all families of the rose I am happy to see you all and I would like to tell you all a story." He said as he looked around at us. " as you know my daughter Grace had gotten engaged to here long time love Adam Redrose and the night of their engagement they were lured to an abandoned house and there they were attacked and the building was set on fire."
"Yes yes we know all this get to the point." a woman's voice demanded. we looked around and sure enough it came from Emily Greenrose.
"Well if it wasn't Grace's quick thinking she saved Adam from a falling burning beam." He said ignoring her. "he was later pulled from the fire by a fire fighter but no on new what happened to Grace but the main story was that she died in the fire. in fact she survive the fire by crawling to the back exit where I found her. that night we came up with a plan. first Grace had to fake her death and two she would have to hide."
"OK but where is she now?" My sister asked confused.
"Oh my dear Sasha haven't you ever heard of the saying that the best place to hide something or some one is out in the open." He replied simply. "Now without further ado I introduce my REAL daughter Grace Blurose."
we were shocked as we watched Amanda get up and stand next to her father. the silence was suffocating. then suddenly Emily started to laugh.
"I feel sorry for you Mr Bluerose for she has fooled you and how do you know that Amanda isn't coning you?" she asked as she giggled. I began to think and then suddenly it came to me.
"a scar, if she really is Grace then she would have a burn scar on her back from the burning beam that she saved me from." I said as my heart began to beat out of my chest. for a split second I saw a slit smile then she turned and moved her long hair and let her shawl drop to the floor. clear as day on her back was a burn scar in the exact spot the beam had hit her. my heart shattered into pieces. the woman that I love was right in front of me and all I did was torture and abuse her mentally, sexually, and sometimes physically.
the tears began to fall down my face as realization hit me like a tidal wave. I almost killed her and I killed one of our children. Two questions remaind. why did she not say anything to me or my sister and why go through all this trouble.
"why didn't she say anything to Adam or Sasha?" My mother asked them. then Grace grabbed the microphone.
"I wanted to but I didn't think he would have believed me and I couldn't risk his life for the sake of my own, not without finding out who tried to kill me earlier." She said looking at her. "as for Sasha I couldn't risk her telling Adam I was alive, the fewer people knew the safest they were."
"why do you reveal all this now?" Sasha asked her.
"Two reasons, one I have the evidence and proof of who tried to kill your brother and I that night." She replied tearing up as well. "two I couldn't risk the lives of my kids."
"you found out who it was didn't you Cece?" Asked another female voice and again we looked and it was Jess.
"Jess did you know that Amanda was Grace?" Sasha asked her in tears. she nodded her head. "why Gracy why tell her?"
"Because one I was there when she was found, two I was part of the planning and therefore swarn to secrecy, and three when she married Adam for six years I went into the military and became a special forces intelligence officer and when I got out I became a police officer and then a detective of the San Francisco police department." She said almost proudly. "but I am here on offical status rather than social."
no one knew what was going to happen. only that it was going to reveal everything.
