Chapter Thirty:A Storm Is Coming.

Joanna was in their bedroom, making a call before the door room was pushed open and in walked in a very angry Micheal, who tugged at his tie harshly before throwing the bag he was with to the bed, as it bounced on it before hitting the floor.

Something was wrong.

She figured out, which made her end the call she was having, before approaching the erratic Micheal, who was holding in his anger from walking up to his father's room and demanding the reason why Giovanni would soon be called in for work.

All these years…all these years of his hard work, that he took seriously with that of Diego, for him to see Giovanni as nothing but a rotten egg that had come to destroy them, and yet he just couldn't let the stupid boy be.

The joy in his heart that finally he was paving way for Diego to ascend the seat as the chairman of Russo Oil holdings when the time comes dwindled, when his father had called him, Edward and the rest of the shareholder to inform them of the new information he had about the new site Diego was handling.

He could only come to one conclusion that he used them. His father used him and his son, Diego, who was the most hardworking one between him and Giovanni, and now on the day of the inauguration of the new site, when Diego was supposed to receive all the accolades, he's bringing in Giovanni to steal his spotlight.

Micheal has always known who their father favored between him and his brother, and it was always going to be Edward and his family. He doesn't treat him like his son, and everyone could see that including his son, who had grown with the mentality that he was nothing but a replacement for Giovanni if he misbehaves.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Joanna asked, skipping him back to reality to notice that she was in the room when he had walked in earlier.

 He didn't answer her but ran his hand through his hair frustratingly before pushing everything that was on the vanity crashing to the floor, and that made Joanna jump where she stood, her hands going to wrap around her tummy in a protective way in case Micheal is going crazy.

This was the very first time she was seeing him act this way, and she could only guess that this has to do with his father. Yeah, the both of them don't have the best relationship because of her, but she could care less what that old man says.

"Micheal, what's going on with you? Talk to me, please?" She pleaded, irrespective of him not apologizing for their argument earlier but she loved this man so much to the point that she would do anything for him.

That's why she was obsessive when it comes to him, apart from him being her boss before things escalated further between them, that had brought Diego into the picture. Michael was a fine piece that the girls in the company would fantasize about who he would later end up with.

But she stepped up on her game and here she was, the wife of Micheal Russo, the assistant manager in Russo holdings.

"Father is planning on signing Giovanni in for work." Micheal confessed, his words made Joanna's stomach recoil. Her countenance changed instantly as horror was written all over her face.

"Wh.. what does that mean? Giovanni doesn't want to work, babe." Joanna asked.

The both of them had done a massive check on Giovanni, to know that he has zero interest in the company. So, why the sudden change?

"What it means is that he's forcing him to work, he's trying to let us know that Diego would always come second." He added, losing his shirt as Joanna didn't want to agree with what he just said.

"It doesn't make any sense. Why do you think your father would suddenly want him to work? Something doesn't add up babe, it doesn't."

"Edward." Micheal said, through gritted teeth." It has to be him, there's no one who would actually derive joy knowing that he's finally taken his position."

"Amrita. I should have known that bitch would have a comeback after what i said to her at the hospital opening."Joanna mumbled, before she stilled as if she remembered something." What about Diego? Does he know?"

"He's not picking up my calls." Micheal said, as Joanna rushed over for her phone and dialed Diego's number, just like Micheal said he wasn't picking up.

A knock on their door made Joanna rush over and open it, with the hope that it was Joanna only to see Diego's assistant, Marko.

He bowed towards Joanna, before turning to face Micheal." I just lost contact with the young master, every way to get through him is futile. We just have to wait and do…"

"And do what exactly?" Joanna cut through his words, making Marko shut up his mouth."You didn't do your work properly and you are saying my son has gone MIA. What are you paid to do!"

She yelled that she rushed over to slap Marko but Micheal held her back, hearing about the news about Giovanni, and Diego not wanting to talk to anyone, including her, his mother didn't sit quite well with her, coupled with the pregnancy hormones and all that.

"It's okay, sweetheart." Micheal cooed, trying to calm her down. She's pregnant and acting up like that doesn't seem to be healthy for that and her child.

"No, it's not. Diego is hurting and there's nothing i can do about that."She cried, moving away from him, while Micheal gave a signal to Marko to leave.

"He's not a child, this would only bring him back to his senses to know that Giovanni isn't his brother, you have been training that child like some chicken and now this happened." Micheal said, his words hurting her the more.

"Seriously? It's now my  fault that your father doesn't see his second son and family competent to handle business affairs. Who's fault is that? Now, you blame my son?"Joanna looked at him lastly, before taking her phone from the bed.

"You have to do something about Giovanni, Micheal. I won't live to see the day he gets to sit on that chair as the owner of Russo holdings. That would be over my dead body." She said coldly, before leaving the room but Micheal knew that she meant every single word that she said.

Which only leaves him with no option but to start plotting plans on how to get rid of Giovanni before he ruins all of them.
