Chapter 15. Fight night

Urouge was also a devil fruit user, so he was also drowning at the moment. Ace turned his sight towards the direction of Spikewards and Yennow.

When they saw him looking at them both of them got pale and rushed towards where Urouge had... fallen... into the sea.

"Does anyone of you want to fight her?" Ace hopelessly asked Nami and Gaga.

"Captain, I'm strong... at navigation!" Nami said cutely.

"Captain, allow me!" Gaga said as she took out nunchuck from who knows where.

"Kachow chaoooo miaoon Kung Fu!" She shouted as she attacked Bonney.

Bonney had at this moment started to regret trying to steal this ship's food, as she found the crew overly weird.

Bonney fought Gaga while trying to not touch Gaga, because she was afraid that if she touched anyone from this weird crew, she would get infected with their weirdness.

'hmm... Gaga is talented as well,.although spikewards, Yennow and Gaga aren't on Urouge, Apoo and Bonney's level of potential, they are close.' Ace thought as he watched the fight with interest.

Although Bonney had the handicap of not trying to touch Gaga directly, she still beat up Gaga using a barrel that she found.

"Sorry captain!" Gaga said while inside the barrel, only her head sticking out.

"Yo you're strong, how about joining crew?" Ace asked.

Before Bonney could retort, both Urouge and Apoo were thrown unto the deck, and then spikewards, Yennow and Ronaldino Ronaldo also climbed up.

They all heard their captain's last words and looked on excitedly.

'Hmph, this foolish women, captain might seem dull and innocent but he's a devil in disguise. He forced us all into his crew and soon you'll also share our destinies!" Spikewards thought with an evil grin, he wasn't the only one. Essentially, all of the Demon Ace Pirates were on the same thought.

"Hmph I'll never join weaklings!" She said, but she knew that if Urouge and Apoo joined hands she would probably beaten as they were strong, each of them only a bit weaker than her..

"Then let's fight?" Ace said, although his words sounded like a question, he didn't allow her to respond as he punched towards her.

His whole arm turned black and Bonney felt his haki so she also punched back with her own fist infused with adamant haki.

When their fists met, both of them were blasted apart, Ace a few steps while Bonney one again flew towards the sailings.

She didn't fall over but she was hurt.

Bonney looked at her fist that had met Ace's, and felt it throbbing hard, and waves of pain came from her hand.

She looked up with even more fighting will and rushed towards him. Just before she reached him she jumped up and then kicked downwards Ace, her whole legs turned black from Haki.

Ace lifted his arm and cought her leg with Haki, them simple threw her.

She flew overboard into the sea.

"SPLASH"

Before Ace could say anything, Spikewards, Yennow and Ronaldino Ronaldo all jumped after her to save her.

They had seen her use her devilfruit abilities on Urouge which instantly made him too old to fight, so they knew she couldn't swim.

"Captain, she seems as crazy as yo... Ehem, is it wise to have her in the crew?" Nami asked

"Yep!"

"Haaa what did I expect." Nami whispered to herself at his respond.

Soon they threw Bonney up unto deck before they climbed on as well.

She sat up and looked irritated.

"You're kidnapped, from now on you belong to my crew." Ace said nonchalantly.

"Hmph I'll only join if you agree to one condi... No! Two conditions!"

Ace looked at her I'm askance.

"First of all, I want to find my father... even if I have to fight the whole marine ford and world government!" She said fiercly, ready for them to panick and ask her to leave their ship.

"Done, what else?" Ace said with his usual tone of not having a care in the world

"Ah, see, I knew you wouldn't be able to..... NANIIIII??!" Her jaws dropped when she realised that Ace was willing to fight both the marines and the world government for her.

Suddenly the other members registered in their brains what she was asking for and what Ace had agreed to.

"EEEEEEK!" Urouge almost fell into the sea again.

"EEEEEP!" Apoo actually fainted.

"Waaaaaa!!?" Gaga could barely find her words

"..." Spikewards and Yennow just pinched eachother to make sure they weren't having a nightmare.

"BASTARD TAKE ME BACK TO MY ISLAND RIGHT NOW, IM RETIRING FORM PIRACY!" Nami was the most rebellious

"Eh, what's with you guys, you know I want to be the strongest man and the strongest emperor, We'll be enemies with them anyways." Ace said while poking his nose.

"ah that's actually right." they nodded.

"Then... my second condition is that I want lots of food everyday, like the size of a crumbian horse." Bonney said but her expression showed that she was also surprised.

"crumbian horse?"

They are as big as ten normal horses." She explained.

"oh, that's easy, we hunt seakings everyday!" Ace said agreeing to her conditions.

"Frick, if you're crazy enough to keep me, then I'm crazy enough to join you punks!" Bonney suddenly stood up and shouted boldly.

That day, the Demon Ace Pirates celebrated the fact that they had another member of their crew.

At the moment, including the captain, they had 9 members.

"So what were you doing out here on a pirate ship?" Ace asked her as they were the only ones left standing, the other were either drunk or asleep as the darkness of the night had overtaken the sky.

Looking up, Bonney saw the sky filled with stars.

"I was on my way to to Arabasta Kingdom."

"Oh, why?" Ace curiously asked curiously.

"... I wanted to find one of the seven warlords of the sea... to see if they knew anything about the person I'm searching for." She admitted.

She herself felt like her plan was a long shot however she didn't know where else to start.

"I see, how would you know which way to go?"

"I have an eternal Pose" She said as she took out a Special log pose.

"Hmm, let's go there then." He said, surprising her.

"But I'm not even sure if this will help in my search, it's better to not waste time." She said dejectedly.

"No no, I also wanted to meet one of the seven warlords, have a honest fist to fist talk with one of them." Ace said.

"AHH you're really crazy, don't you know how strong they are? The seven warlords make up one of the Three Great Powers, alongside the four emperors and The Marine headquarters.

"Hmm are they really that strong?" Ace asked, in his memories, only the swordsman seemed impressive.

"...."

"What?" Ace asked as he saw hur stupified expression.

"Gecko Maria was the rival of Kaido when they were younger... Crocodile fought Whitebeard."

"Didn't he lose?"

"Yes but he survived a direct hit from Whitebeard's devil fruit punch infused with his haki..."

"oh"

"Then you have the world's greatest swordsman that is also the rival of Shanks. You also have the pirate empress! It is rumoured that she even has conqueror's Haki, she's the second strongest female pirate!" She said with admiration.

Seeing how Ace looked unimpressed, she continued.

Yet on the inside, he was very surprised. He would've never believed the Gecko Maria and Crocodile were so strong.

If Bonney speaks highly of them and she has Haki, then they must also have Haki.

Ace realised that his perception of strength might be wrong because of an cartoon drawing he had seen in his past life.

"You won't know how strong they are until you fight." Ace said before taking the eternal Pose to Arabasta.

Bonney didn't say anything but she also felt excited at the fact that they might fight Crocodile.

Only after I wrote those chapter did Oda reveal Bonneys true age and backstory. When I read the manga at that point I almost spit blood because I had already written too many chapters to change my story. I'm going to tell you right now, Oda revealed a lot in the last few months, so there might be other things as well, nothing I can think of atop of my mind. Bonneys age was the biggest thing. Let's just overlook it 😅
