Chapter 71: The Neuralyzer

In the vast expanse of the intergalactic assembly, Jon's command echoed, reverberating off the metallic walls. The aliens, a motley crew of beings from different galaxies, looked at their left arms in compliance. Those without hands, their bodies an odd assortment of shapes and forms, looked at their sides, their eyes, if they had any, reflecting confusion and curiosity. Some, their necks rigid and unyielding, sought assistance from their neighbors, their voices a cacophony of alien languages, each more bizarre than the last.

Once the initial confusion subsided, they arranged themselves into two distinct rows as per Jon's directive. Those bearing marks of identification stood on the left, their bodies adorned with symbols and signs of their respective races. Those without marks, a minority in the crowd, stood on the right, their plain bodies a stark contrast to the marked ones.

Jon surveyed the crowd, his eyes scanning the sea of alien faces. "Are you certain you've followed my instructions?" His voice was stern, a warning underlying his words. "I advise against any form of deception."

The aliens exchanged glances, their eyes meeting Jon's with a mixture of fear and defiance. The silence was palpable, the tension in the air thick enough to cut with a knife.

"I'll offer you another opportunity," Jon's voice boomed, echoing through the assembly. "Those bearing marks, stand to the left. Those without, to the right. Ensure your position is correct. The consequences of defiance are...unpleasant."

Despite his warning, the crowd remained unmoved, their defiance a silent challenge to Jon's authority.

"Very well," Jon nodded, a grim smile playing on his lips. He reached into his pocket, pulling out the Elder Wand, its ancient power pulsating in his hand. He pointed it at one of the unmarked aliens on the right, his voice cold and unyielding,

"Avada Kedavra!"

A beam of eerie green light shot out from the wand, illuminating the assembly with its ghastly glow. The alien, caught in the path of the spell, fell to the ground, lifeless. The crowd erupted into chaos, their voices a symphony of fear and panic.

"Silence!" Jon's voice cut through the pandemonium, his command amplified by a spell. The assembly fell silent, their fear of Jon now palpable.

"I warned you," Jon's voice was devoid of emotion as he glanced at the lifeless alien. "Defiance has its price."

He turned his gaze back to the crowd, his voice calm yet menacing, "I'll offer you one final chance. Stand where you belong. Do not test my patience."

Under the weight of Jon's unyielding gaze, the aliens quickly fell into line, their defiance replaced by fear. The assembly was a picture of order, a stark contrast to the chaos that had ensued moments ago.

"Very well," Jon's voice echoed through the assembly, "Those on the right, you may leave."

His words were met with a wave of confusion. The aliens on the right exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of relief and bewilderment. Why would the one who had just demonstrated such ruthless power suddenly let them go? What fate awaited those who were left behind?

The aliens on the left, their bodies adorned with the marks of their races, watched the scene unfold with a sense of dread. Envy flashed in their eyes as they watched their unmarked counterparts, their minds filled with questions about Jon's intentions.

"Did you not hear me?" Jon's voice cut through their thoughts, "Those on the right, leave. You're wasting my time."

His words spurred the aliens on the right into action, their bodies moving in a hurried scramble towards the exit.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Jon's voice echoed through the assembly once more, another beam of green light shooting out from his wand. An alien fell to the ground, lifeless, and panic ensued once again. The aliens who were about to leave froze in their tracks, their bodies rigid with fear.

"I said, only those on the right may leave. Those on the left, stay where you are," Jon's voice was a low growl, his warning clear.

His words sent a chill down the spines of the aliens on the left. The one who had just fallen was one of their own, an alien who had tried to sneak out amidst the confusion. Their plans of escape were quickly abandoned, their bodies frozen in fear.

After a few tense minutes, the unmarked aliens on the right had left, their departure leaving behind a group of marked aliens, their bodies adorned with the symbols of their sins.

"As for you," Jon's voice was cold as he turned to face the remaining aliens. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a big high-tech MiB gun. His body transformed into the Ghost Rider, his form engulfed in hellfire.

"See you in Hell."

A beam of light, as hot and destructive as lava, shot out from the transformed gun, rushing towards the marked aliens. Their screams echoed through the assembly as the light engulfed them, their bodies disappearing in the fiery blaze.

Outside the club's entrance, a group of Men in Black stood in formation, their bodies tense and alert. They were reinforcements summoned by Z from various divisions, their hands clutching advanced weapons. The headquarters' arsenal had been plundered by Jon, forcing them to rely on the divisions for weaponry. These agents were the elite, their hands gripping weapons that were the epitome of interstellar technology.

"Stay focused, don't let your guard down!" An agent's voice cut through the silence, "Our target is highly dangerous and cunning. We must neutralize him before he has a chance to react!"

Earlier, a group of aliens had escaped from the club, their stories of a madman inside who had killed the owner and security, and held the members hostage, had reached the agents. They knew instantly it was Jon, his unpredictable behavior a signature of his.

Suddenly, the agents noticed the elevator floor indicator changing. It had been on the first floor, but now it was descending into the negatives. Their hearts pounded in their chests, their breaths held in anticipation. The floor number changed back to one, signaling the arrival of their target.

"Everyone, get ready!" An agent's voice echoed, his hand gripping his pulse gun tightly.

Ding~!

The elevator doors slid open, revealing Jon, clad in a leather jacket. The lead agent was about to give the order to fire when he froze. Jon was wearing black sunglasses and held a peculiar device in his hand.

"Damn, that's a neuralyzer!" The agent cursed under his breath, reaching for his sunglasses. But Jon was quicker. With a snap, a flash of white light filled the room. The agents were momentarily stunned, their memories of the past few minutes erased.

Jon pocketed the neuralyzer, removed his sunglasses, and cleared his throat, "Good evening, everyone, I am Agent V from the Europe Division. We were dispatched from headquarters to apprehend a dangerous interstellar criminal. The culprit of my mission is right behind me."

Jon stepped aside, revealing Laika's charred body.

"Now that I've dealt with him, our mission is complete. You may return to your respective divisions, while I need to head to headquarters."

With that, Jon walked past the agents, who parted to let him through. As he walked, he couldn't help but admire the neuralyzer. What should have been a fierce battle had been resolved with a simple device.

If Agents J and K were to witness this, they would have gone crazy.
