Crazy

Chthon was an elder god who turned into a demon. Having been expelled from Earth, he was always eager to return. In his attempts to return to Earth, he spread his dark magic and chaos magic throughout Earth in many forms.

Starting with the Darkhold, the dark magic book that corrupts its users, Chthon also created many demonic races including werewolves, zombies, and vampires to do his bidding.

The cult that worships Chthon is also one of the most prominent dark magic cults existing on Earth that directly opposes the more orthodox sorcerers and mages. This cult is centered on the Darkhold and is called the Darkholders.

But the most prominent influence of Chthon on Earth is undoubtedly through the famous Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff. The scarlet in her moniker Scarlet Witch is derived from the color of the chaos magic she uses. Although Wanda tried to keep Chthon out while using his chaos magic, she couldn't completely get away from Chthon's influence.

Chthon was preparing his army of demonic races for the invasion of Earth when he detected a dangerous energy signal in a corner of his dimension.

"Come out, come out wherever you are!" Savant teased the elder god right after appearing in his dimension.

Chthon's dimension was filled with dark magic and chaos magic. For a normal being or someone who uses orthodox magic, this dimension is a suffocating place. It was similar to putting a human in a place that lacked oxygen.

Due to Savant's physiology where his body is constantly producing the energy he needs without the need for any outside intervention, the dimension did not affect him whatsoever.

Chthon appeared in front of Savant in his semi-humanoid form with a billowing scarlet cape formed by the overflowing chaos magic. Due to the high concentration of magic, it even formed clouds around Cthon with scarlet lighting crackling behind him intermittently.

"Wow. You have live special effects for your entrance? I need to take notes. That is a very cool entrance, not gonna lie. I know a few heroes and villains who would love something like that." Savant was genuinely impressed by the effects surrounding Chthon when he appeared,

Chthon ignored Savant's eccentricities and questioned in his demonic voice, "Are you here to beg me not to invade Earth? Why have you come to my dimension, mortal?"

Savant shook his head with a disappointed look, "Just because some stupid people worship you, aren't you taking this 'god' thing too seriously? You are not a real god."

"Mortals can't comprehend the nature of god. I'll ask you one last time, why have you come to my dimension?" Chthon's voice was laced with anger this time.

"You are just a mystical creature that was created on Earth and evolved beyond it long before humans existed. At most, you are like the previous tenant of Earth that the humans have made their residence now. Also, I am as immortal as you are Chthon."

When Chthon saw that Savant wasn't going to stop talking nonsense, he began attacking Savant. Like most other powerful dimensional lords, Chthon was also in full control of all reality within his dimension.

The fight between Savant and Chthon began in earnest with a lot of flashy energy attacks mixed with physical attacks. If one was far enough, they would see red, scarlet, and golden fireworks going off in the sky in a gorgeous pattern.

"You are just a cheap copy of the Cthulu mythos." Savant didn't forget to make fun of his opponent while fighting him. But the fight wasn't going anywhere since both of them had an infinite supply of energy and regenerative abilities.

If they had normally fought like that, the battle could have lasted thousands of years. Most of the beings and structures in Chthon's dimension would be obliterated in the process but the fight would not end easily.

But Savant had something up his sleeve, literally. Savant pushed off Chthon to a distance and pulled out a sinister-looking black book out of his sleeve. Chthon was very surprised by the appearance of the book as well.

"Oh, you were surprised by my magic trick? I won't tell you how I did it though. It's a magician's secret. Anyway, shall we make this fight more interesting?" Savant teased Chthon while turning the pages of the book.

What Savant was holding was the Darkhold. It was the original book of the most evil spells and magic that Chthon had written on the flesh of other elder gods that he had killed. It was also called the True Darkhold. The parchment book that the Darkholders cult worship and the book that corrupted sorcerers on Earth was just a transcription from the True Darkhold.

This book was also one of the weaknesses of Chthon since it was the very foundation through which his dark magic and chaos magic had developed.

"You! Where did you find that book? How did you get your hands on it?" Chthon asked with a tone of urgency in his voice.

"This thing? I just borrowed it from the library of an old man. The old man practically lent it to me for eternity. He seemed very disgusted by this book though. Even told me to burn it down if I could. I can relate though, why does this book look like badly aged meat? It even smells like rotten meat. And why does it wiggle so much if it is already rotten."

Although Savant was complaining, the darkness overflowing from the open book was already wrapping around Savant. The dark magic of the Darkhold was trying to take control of his body. Except for a few very powerful beings who have exceptional spirituality, anyone who comes even a little close to the book would instantly become corrupted by its magic.

Unfortunately for the eager book, Savant was one of those incorruptible beings. His spirituality and mental strength were strong enough to create a singularity event in his mental realm. And he was powered by a million exploding suns which offset the magic of the Darkhold.

But by assimilating the sinister magic of the Darkhold, Savant was able to hurt Chthon in ways that Chthon can't easily recover from with his regeneration.

"Taste the power of the rotten meat!" Savant began the second round of the fight with Chthon.

.....

The Asgardian scientists working with human scientists were able to create a barely functioning teleportation device that could create a stable portal leading straight to space and facing directly toward the sun.

All the energy sources on the planet were dedicated to powering up these portals that were rapidly being fixed to all the portals from where the dimensional beings were invading.

With every new portal being installed, the heroes and the army were able to get more breathing room. After an hour or so when a significant number of portals had been installed, the army was able to move back and chase after the demons and aliens that had managed to go past the defense line and were attacking the general public.

Even with a concentrated effort to evacuate people into shelters and mirror dimensions, there were quite a lot of people who were not evacuated due to many reasons including their own stubbornness. The property damage caused by these demons was also significant.

Many cities had partially or completely turned into rubble with many famous landmarks all over the world seeing a lot of damage as well. The Eiffel Tower was bent, the Statue of Liberty's torso was broken, the Christ the Redeemer statue had its arms broken, and more.

Among all the death and destruction, a fascinating thing that was seen was the humans in blue-green armor holding futuristic weapons and shouting slogans about mankind and the emperor.

Slogans like 'For the emperor!' or 'For mankind!' became symbols of hope for the people who were trapped in the rubble or were hiding from the monsters. All over the world, people were independently associating these slogans with the hope of being saved.

"Mom, I want to join the Emperor's legion when I grow up." Kids all around the world looked at the soldiers in armor with bright eyes and declared to their parents that they wanted to be just like those soldiers.

Tony Stark who was observing all this madness exclaimed, "Is Doom creating a cult? What the hell is going on? Can anyone tell me what's going on?"

To Iron Man's question, all the heroes had no reply other than a dumbfounded silence. They were equally baffled by the bizarre situation that they were facing.

Except for one, of course, Deadpool was following the Alpha legion while shouting out their slogan of "For the emperor!" Crazy recognizes crazy.
