They could very roughly guess the level of devastation that went through these lands by how the landscape was shaped, and what they saw now made it unlikely for anything within the Boundless Mortal World to be able to survive.

There were also far more Space Distortions and Space Storms within the shards of the world surface, all supporting Wu Long's theory about the progression of events.
