"Those Demon Dogs are probably going to arrive in maybe five minutes…" said Julio, squinting as he gazed at the approaching Demon Dogs in the distance. Midas also nodded upon hearing this. Sounded about right. That was enough time to prepare some countermeasures.
It was still early on in the day though, and so Midas, Julio and the rest of the patrolmen who had recently had a shift change were on duty. Midas did some calculations and felt like to take on a thousand Demon Dogs he would not have a large team. Maybe 20 people perched high up on the walls, with five people per wall would be enough to stave them off.
Midas could even wake a specialist like Amelia to keep the Demon Dogs in check and irritate them if they got too arrogant. Midas thought a bit further and couldn't help but lick his lips in anticipation. This did not feel like a scary situation, but rather like a situation in which the Demon Dogs were running to their deaths.
