Chapter 147: Loki deeply hurts Thor's heart

The video continues playing.

Odin, accompanied by Thor and Jane Foster, finds a book. As Odin flips through the pages, he speaks, "The history of certain things can be traced back to before the formation of the universe. The things inside her (Jane Foster) are such ancient artifacts. The Nine Realms are not eternal; they had a birth at dawn, and they will have a collapse at dusk. Before that dawn, the dark forces of the Dark Elves dominated the universe, unrivaled by anyone."

"Born in the Eternal Night, the Dark Elves stole your time," Thor reads from the records in the book, "My mother told me their stories when I was a child."

"Their leader, Malekith, used that darkness to create a weapon called the Aether," Odin continues as he looks at the pages of the book, "Most ancient artifacts are solid, but the Aether is an ever-changing fluid. It can turn matter into dark matter; it seeks out a host to parasitize and drain the host's life force. Malekith intended to use the power of the Aether to return the universe to darkness, but after a long and bloody battle, my father, Bor, finally achieved victory, ushering in an era of peace."

"How did he win?" Jane Foster asks.

"He destroyed the Dark Elves," Odin replies.

"Are you sure?" Thor asks, "The legend says the Aether was destroyed along with them, but now it has reappeared."

"The Dark Elves are extinct," Odin says firmly.

"Does the book mention how to remove it from my body?" Jane Foster asks.

"No," Odin turns and leaves.

"It's actually the Aether!" Thor is shocked, "I always thought the Aether was destroyed!"

"Now it seems not only the Aether wasn't destroyed, but the Dark Elves may not have been completely eradicated either, just like Hydra, who never stopped causing trouble," Steve Rogers says, "There really are no absolutes in this world."

"It's highly likely," Bruce Banner says with concern, "The Dark Elves are creatures born in darkness, and darkness is their fertile ground, their most suitable environment. If they're still around, they won't give up on returning the universe to darkness; for them, it's a noble mission."

"If the whole universe turns dark, Earth will be doomed," Bruce Banner rubs his temples, "Why does the universe always have these restless individuals - Loki, Ultron, Thanos, Hela? None of these enemies have been resolved, and now another one emerges."

"It's inevitable," Thor says with great certainty, "The Dark Elves are born and bred in darkness; it's their nature. Darkness is their fertile ground, and it's where they thrive. If they're still around, they will certainly not give up on their mission to bring darkness back to the universe."

"But how can such a destructive weapon like the Aether be on Earth?" Sam Wilson asks, "Jane Foster said she disappeared for five hours. Could she have traveled to places beyond Earth and come back in that time?"

"If you think that, it's because you don't know about the convergence," Thor explains.

"What's that?" Tony Stark asks.

"The Nine Realms are nine great kingdoms that travel within the World Tree, much like Earth orbits the Sun around Midgard, which is Earth itself. Every five thousand years, these realms align in a straight line, known as the convergence," Thor explains further, "During this period, the Nine Realms intersect each other, and gravity, light, and even matter can shift from one realm to another. The boundaries between the realms become very blurry. Jane Foster must have arrived at such a blurry point where she was on Earth and not on Earth at the same time, which is why Heimdall couldn't see her."

  "Being on Earth and not on Earth, this reminds me of a certain cat..." Tony Stark finds it intriguing, "So you're saying that the convergence is the right time to find the Aether particle?"

  "No, this is a very bad time. The convergence is the perfect opportunity for the Dark Elves to execute their evil plan," Thor's expression becomes serious, "The Aether particle and the convergence appearing simultaneously, I believe disaster is inevitable."

  "From the timeline perspective, both the Aether particle and the convergence occurred after the Battle of New York, so there's still time," Steve Rogers says, "We need to find the remnants of the Dark Elves and eradicate them completely!"

  The video continues, showing Thor and Jane Foster walking together in the palace. In the video, Thor also explains the convergence to Jane Foster.

  "I will find a way to save you," after explaining and taking advantage of her, Thor says affectionately.

  "Your father said it's impossible..." Jane Foster's tone carries a sense of despair.

  "My father doesn't know everything," Thor says.

  "But don't let him hear you say that," a voice comes, and an elegant woman with a smile on her face walks over.

  "Jane Foster," Thor introduces Jane Foster to the woman and then introduces the woman to Jane Foster, "This is Frigga, the Queen of Asgard, my mother."

  The video pauses at this point, and a new question appears.

  "What? My mother was killed?" Thor becomes visibly agitated at the sight of this question, "No! No! This can't be!"

  "Thor, calm down," Steve Rogers says, "This hasn't happened yet, there's still time to prevent it."

  "Yes, there's at least one year, we still have time, we still have time," Thor clenches his fists tightly, "Dark Elves, this time, I will definitely eradicate you completely!"

  "Who are Malekith and the Curse Warriors?" Tony Stark asks.

  "Malekith is the leader of the Dark Elves, and the Curse Warriors are powerful warriors created using the Cursed Stone," Thor explains, realizing that they might not understand, "The so-called Cursed Stone is made from the fragments of the Aether particle and is used to create the Curse Warriors."

  "So, the Curse Warriors' power comes from the Aether particle?" Steve Rogers asks, "If the Aether particle is a weapon capable of destroying the universe, then the Curse Warriors must be formidable as well."

  "I'm not sure about their exact strength, but one thing is certain," Thor says gravely, "They are at least stronger than me."

  "So, who exactly killed your mother, the powerful Curse Warriors or Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves?" Sam Wilson asks.

  "My mother wouldn't leave Asgard. If they wanted to kill her, they had to come to Asgard," Thor's mind races, "The Curse Warriors seem more like assassins. If they killed my mother, they would have infiltrated Asgard and carried out the assassination in secret. On the other hand, Malekith, as the leader of the Dark Elves, if he appeared in Asgard, there's only one possibility: the Dark Elves attacking Asgard..."

  "Would the Dark Elves attack Asgard?" Steve Rogers asks.

  "Based on what I know, based on what my father knows, and based on what all Asgardians know, the Dark Elves were supposed to be eradicated," Thor ponders, "Now we know that they weren't completely eradicated. But they must have been defeated severely, almost wiped out. Otherwise, my grandfather wouldn't have thought they were all dead. So, their strength must be very limited now. I don't think they have the ability to attack Asgard."

  "Also, their weapon, the Aether particle, is in Asgard," T'Challa adds, "Although Asgard seems unable to remove the Aether particle from that girl's body, having her in Asgard is equivalent to having the Aether particle in Asgard."

  "When they possessed the Aether particle in the past, my grandfather 'eradicated' them. Now, they are just remnants and no longer have the Aether particle. So, I believe they are unlikely to attack Asgard. If the Dark Elves can't attack Asgard, then their leader won't be targeting my mother," Thor makes his decision, "I choose A!"

  "If the Curse Warriors were to infiltrate Asgard, what methods could they use?" Steve Rogers asks.

  "While Asgard is the ruler of the Nine Realms, they won't easily go to other kingdoms without a war. So, if they want to infiltrate Asgard..." Thor's mind starts coming up with various disguise methods, sharing each one with Steve Rogers and the others for analysis.

  After a heated discussion, the video resumes.

  The first to appear is none other than Loki!

  Loki is seen lying on a bed, boredly tossing a bottle up in the air and catching it.

  The room looks strange, seemingly simple, with nothing else but a bed, and one side of the room is covered by a golden screen.

 "Is this Loki's room? It looks so simple," James Rhodes comments, "Although Loki is not Odin's biological son, he is still Odin's child. Why is he living in such a place?"

  "This is Asgard's prison," Thor explains, "Loki has been imprisoned here."

  "After the Battle of New York, so Loki was imprisoned because of the battle," Tony Stark sneers, "Committing such crimes on Earth and still not sentenced to death, Asgard's laws are really lenient."

  "Stark, it's not your place to question Asgard's laws!" Thor snorts.

  "Because Loki is Odin's child, right?" Tony Stark coldly laughs again, "The prince and commoners are treated the same. It seems that such things can only happen in movies and TV shows."

  "Enough, both of you. Let's watch the video. Especially you, Thor, arguing with Stark at this moment, are you not afraid of missing any details?" Steve Rogers quickly interjects, seeing Thor and Tony Stark getting into an argument.

  This video is related to the death of Thor's mother, which naturally makes Thor very concerned. Upon hearing Steve Rogers' words, Thor no longer pays attention to Tony Stark and focuses on watching the video.

  The guards are vigilant and quickly notice the Curse Warrior. They try to stop him with their weapons, but the Curse Warrior is too powerful. The guards are no match for him and are easily defeated.

  Boom! Boom!

  Then, the Curse Warrior starts attacking the golden screens of other prison cells, releasing the inmates.

  Finally, the Curse Warrior arrives outside Loki's cell. Perhaps due to Loki's different appearance from the other prisoners or maybe because the charming effect of the mind stone can't be used on his big head, the Curse Warrior just looks at Loki and doesn't release him like the others.

  After a brief "eye contact" with Loki, the Curse Warrior turns around to leave.

  "Take the left staircase," Loki suddenly says as the Curse Warrior is about to leave.

  The Curse Warrior glances at Loki and then follows Loki's instruction, taking the left staircase.

  "Damn Loki!!" In the answering space, Thor sees this and becomes furious.

  Meanwhile, in the video, Thor, Frigga, and Jane Foster are staying together, and they have already noticed the chaos in Asgard.

  "It's the prison," Frigga says.

  "It's Loki," Thor suspects that Loki is causing trouble. In a sense, he is right; Loki is indeed causing trouble.

  "Go, I'll take care of her," Frigga tells Thor.

  Thor jumps up, catches his hammer as it flies to him, and flies towards the prison.

  "Send a team to the armory, protect it at all costs, and guard the dungeons," Odin is also dealing with the chaotic situation in the prison.

  "Odin." At this moment, Frigga arrives with Jane Foster.

  "It's just a minor disturbance, don't worry," Odin walks up to Frigga.

  "You never lie," Frigga says.

  "Take her to your room. I'll find you when it's safe," Odin says.

  The scene changes, and Heimdall stands coolly in place.

  But suddenly, Heimdall seems to sense something. He turns around and runs madly on the rainbow bridge.

Just when everyone was unsure of what Heimdall was up to, he leaped into the air and swiftly thrust his sword.

  With this thrust, a previously empty space suddenly had a spaceship appear!

  Heimdall clung to the side of the spaceship and then swung his sword, destroying the ship.

  To think that the attacking ships of the Dark Elves could be easily destroyed with just two sword strikes is absurd.

  Boom! Boom!

  The spaceship exploded in the air and started to fall.

  But there was no relaxation on Heimdall's face because he saw more ships.

  "The Dark Elves are directly attacking Asgard!" Thor's face changed, "They actually have such power!"

  "Previously, it was said that Malekith would appear in Asgard only when he invaded it. Now, he's really attacking Asgard," Bruce Banner said, "But we don't know if they will succeed."

  "They will succeed," Thor's face looked extremely grim.

  "Thor, this is unlike you." Sam Wilson said, "Impossible, it won't happen; these words sound like they're coming from you."

  "Asgard's Royal Palace has a protective shield, impenetrable. No enemy can break through," Thor's body trembled with anger.   At the same time, a large golden shield starts to rise around the Royal Palace.

  The Dark Elves' ships collide with the not-yet-fully-closed shield, but it's like an egg hitting a stone, bursting instantly.

  But the next moment, the Curse Warrior's figure appears at the magnificent place. He raises his fists and hammers the golden light, causing it to explode.

  The not-yet-fully-closed golden shield around the Royal Palace gradually disappears.

  Those ships that broke through the first line of defense face no more obstacles and continue their assault, flying into the Royal Palace.

  When these ships were "standing" in flight, one of them now "crosses" over like a sword, making a deafening sound as it chops the pillars supporting the palace.

  This scene leaves Tony Stark gaping in astonishment. They really did it!

  They actually used the spaceships as swords!

  The scene shifts, and Malekith slowly pushes open a door and steps inside.

  On the other side of the door, there are two women. One is Jane Foster, who should have been Thor's girlfriend, and the other is Thor's mother, Frigga.

  "Step back, monster." But in the video, Frigga shows no intention of running away. She approaches Malekith with her sword, "I can spare your life."
