Drip, drip, drip!

The pointer on the detector inside the temporary base in the sinkhole kept spinning relentlessly.

"We have a peak! The readings are rising!" The technician looked at the wildly spinning detector, completely clueless about what was happening.

"Why is it suddenly unstable?"

"I'm sorry, I have no idea!"

"Figure something out! I may not know what this means, but I know it needs to be stable!"

"Let's inform Agent Coulson immediately!"

Before these people could notify Phil Coulson, the hammer suddenly started shaking, causing the entire base to tremble like an earthquake.

Crack, crack, crack!

The land where the hammer was resting even cracked open, as if it had encountered an unbearable weight of life.

Whoosh!

The next moment, the hammer shot up into the sky, piercing through the clear blue.

"Thor, are you sure about this?" Clint Barton looked at Thor, who was summoning the hammer while drinking soda, feeling somewhat skeptical. "You know, in the video, you only got the hammer when you were almost beaten to death."

"You didn't see the essence." Thor mumbled with his mouth full, his words unclear. "Father wanted not just for me to be near death, but to understand. I have understood now, so I can do it."

"Can you swallow what's in your mouth before speaking?" Phil Coulson was speechless. "Even as a hammer, I would find you unworthy in your current state, the God of Thunder!"

But it was evident that the hammer was loyal to Thor and didn't find him unworthy. It flew from the horizon without a single cloud.

Thor held the hammer in his hand, took another gulp of cola, and burst into laughter. "I told you, I am worthy now!"

"Thor, since you have retrieved the hammer, I entrust Loki to you." Phil Coulson said seriously.

"Don't worry, I won't let that future happen." Thor promised solemnly, then looked up at the sky. "Heimdall, bring me back!"

After Thor finished speaking, nothing happened. It remained silent, and nothing changed.

"Heimdall! Can you hear me?" Thor raised his voice again. "Perhaps my father has exiled me, but I have important matters to attend to! I must return!"

The Rainbow Bridge still didn't appear.

"Heimdall!"

"Heimdall!"

After shouting for a long time, Heimdall still didn't bring down the Rainbow Bridge.

"Stop shouting, Thor. It seems Heimdall doesn't want to take you up there." Phil Coulson stopped Thor from shouting further. "If he could hear you, he would have already heard."

"Loki must have become the ruler by now." Thor's expression turned grim. "He must have issued new decrees, forbidding the gatekeeper from allowing me up."

"So, are we just waiting for Loki to come down?" Clint Barton asked.

"Seems like it." Thor replied.

"Is the Destroyer inevitable?" Phil Coulson pondered for a moment and said, "Thor, let's leave now and go to a place where there's nobody. That way, even if the Destroyer does come in the end, it won't destroy an entire town."

"No, I'll go alone. If the Destroyer really comes, you'll all be in danger." Thor swung his hammer and flew straight up into the sky, disappearing amidst the billowing clouds.

"I envy him," Phil Coulson said softly as he watched Thor disappear into the clouds.

"What's there to envy, Coulson? Let me tell you, he'll end up becoming a couch potato sooner or later," Clint Barton said. "Flying with a hammer in his right hand and holding a cola in his left hand, does he look even remotely like the mythological God of Thunder?"

"It's quite different from the legendary image," Phil Coulson agreed.

After leaving Phil Coulson and Clint Barton, Thor landed on a desolate hill.

"Loki, if you want to be king, go ahead, I willingly give it to you, but you must not harm the innocent." Thor sat on a rock, unable to help but sigh.

The scenes from the contest kept replaying in his mind. Even now, he was unwilling to believe that his mischievous brother would commit such heinous crimes in the future.

He understood that Loki was not fit to be king, but he was still his brother.

Time passed quickly, and an entire afternoon went by.

The cold wind blew, rustling Thor's long hair.

Thor suddenly felt bored.

Who knows when Loki would come down? What if it took ten days or even half a month?

Did he have to sit here and wait for so long?

"I miscalculated. I should have brought some soda and potato chips." As the sun gradually set on the horizon, Thor couldn't sit still anymore.

It was too boring!

He began to yearn for the taste of soda, potato chips, and fried chicken legs.

Damn cafeteria, how could they make such delicious food?

"Is it just a matter of desires? I am Thor, son of Odin, the prince of Asgard. Can't I overcome such desires?" Thor sat there, tossing the hammer back and forth, his face resolute.

Three seconds later, the God of Thunder soared into the sky, bathed in lightning, and returned to the town.

"In any case, please make sure the residents of the town evacuate in time." Phil Coulson was speaking with the local sheriff when he suddenly felt a gust of wind behind him. He turned around and saw Thor standing there, holding the hammer.

"Thor?" Phil Coulson was taken aback. "Did you see Loki?"

"Not yet." Thor grinned. "I have something important to do, so I came back."

"What important thing?"

"The mountain is too boring. I'm going to buy some fried chicken, soda, and potato chips to take up there."

"...," Phil Coulson almost fell to the ground. Is that what you consider important? Are you kidding me?

"Come on, Coulson, I know you're hungry too." Thor affectionately hooked his arm around Phil Coulson's shoulder. "Let's go eat some good food. I'll treat you."

"Thor, do you have any money?" Phil Coulson asked.

"Don't worry about such trivial details." Thor laughed heartily. "You can pay first."

"Thor?" Clint Barton also walked over from another street. "How did you end up with Coulson? Did Loki come by?"

"He just wants to drink soda again." Phil Coulson said, feeling speechless.

"...," Clint Barton didn't know what to say. Were soda and potato chips really that delicious?

Thor spent more than an hour "battling" at KFC before reluctantly getting up.

As he wiped his mouth and was about to leave, he suddenly realized that if Loki still didn't come, he would have to wait on the mountain for ten days or even half a month.

"I should pack some to take away." Thor cleverly came up with a solution.

Coincidentally, at that moment, a Chinese man carrying a snake-skin bag for work passed by outside KFC. Thor quickly asked Phil Coulson to buy the snake-skin bag.

After waiting for another hour, Thor hoisted a bulging snake-skin bag on his shoulder. With a swing of his hammer, he flew into the sky!
