Major changes... part 1

It's been several months since Naruto and Hinata had left their lives after suppressing their memories. But even after suppressing their memories, Minato had broken that seal.

He could remember all of the interactions between him and his son. Minato knew he had done something like this to prevent any trouble for the future. If his parents went back to normal after forgetting about him, everything would be okay in the future. But nothing went according to Naruto; his father regained all of his memories.

.

Now, currently, Minato was walking towards his village, bathed in the blood of Iwa shinobi. He had killed thousands of their shinobi.

The Konoha ninjas were cheering for him, calling his name loudly and praising him for saving them. But Minato didn't pay any attention to them.

When he raised his hand and looked at all the blood he had spilled, he didn't feel like he had won something. He didn't feel like cheering and celebrating.

.

No, he felt sick, he felt worse, he didn't want to do it, but for the village, he had done it. No, he didn't do this for the village; he did it for Kushina and for his future son.

He felt like he had robbed so many lives, he had killed someone's son, husband, or father. How could he cheer for his victory?

But after living with his son, after seeing his family filled with laughter and joy, he couldn't let anyone harm them, he had to protect them even if he had to kill thousands more shinobi.

A random shinobi walked towards him with a happy expression, "Hey Minato, why are you not celebrating with us?" he asked when he saw Minato walking ahead of them.

Minato looked at the random shinobi, closed his eyes briefly, and said, "You guys celebrate; I don't feel like it," as he walked ahead.

The random shinobi shrugged his shoulders and went away.

.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't even realize when he arrived in front of his house. After arriving at Konoha, he had to go through some formalities, telling all the mission details to the Hokage.

And now when he looked at the Hokage, his thoughts about him had changed; the respect he once felt for him was now gone.

Minato knew he was going to become Hokage; Naruto had told him many stories of his time, and through those stories, he knew that after dying, Hiruzen would become Hokage again. And he knew how he would treat Naruto after this.

Minato was sharp; although Naruto hadn't told him how exactly, from his eyes, he could tell Naruto was not good at hiding his emotions, just like his mother.

.

But he hid all of his thoughts from the Hokage and behaved like his previous self; he couldn't afford to make any mistakes. He had to become Hokage himself to protect Kushina.

He knew the Hokage and other council members saw her as a war weapon.

Lately, he had been thinking too much. If the Hokage and council members knew about Kushina, why did they let him stay near her? Why didn't they interfere in anything?

The more he thought about it, the more his thoughts changed about the village. He started to recollect all of his memories from childhood and started analyzing them, and he came to one conclusion: emotional support and manipulation.

.

As far as he could remember, he was an orphan, so why did the Sannin pay attention to him? He knew he was a genius, but this was not enough to attract so much attention.

How could a jinchuriki be kidnapped by Kumo ninjas from the middle of the village? How could only he know about it and go to rescue her?

Now, he remembered that the kidnappers were not even Jonin-level ninjas. How could they infiltrate the village, and how could an academy student like him defeat them?"

He wouldn't be surprised if all of this was a setup done by the Hokage to make them fall in love with each other. For him, he gained a lover, and for Kushina, she gained someone she could trust, all of this to keep them loyal to the village.

.

He started to consider that there was a hand of Konoha in the destruction of Kushina's home to bring her to Konoha and save her like some heroes. He had realized this for some time, but he was not sure how much of this was true.

*Knock* *knock**

He knocked on the door of his house, and soon there was the sound of footsteps running towards the door. A smile graced his lips as he heard the hurried footsteps. With a creak, the door opened, and a beautiful smile from Kushina welcomed him.

"I am back," he said. As he saw her, all of his thoughts and bloodshed were blown out of the window.

"Welcome back," Kushina said as she welcomed him.

"I have prepared the food; quickly wash your hands," she said.

.

Minato chuckled at her enthusiasm and did as she said. Soon, both of them were sitting around the dining table and started to eat.

Minato looked around the table, he looked at the seat where his son was supposed to sit, but now only two of them were present.

"Where are your thoughts," Kushina asked him. She had noticed that her husband had changed significantly in a few months; sometimes he seemed distant, lost in some thoughts. On the other hand, she was happy that his love for her had significantly increased; he was behaving overly protective, and she liked it very much.

She knew something was bothering him; she had asked him many times, but he always said it was about the village.

"It's nothing; I was just thinking about our future," he smiled sweetly at her.

"Is that so? If there is something you want to talk about with me," she asked in the hope of finding some clues.

"Do you really want to know," he asked with a smile. Seeing his smile, she knew he was teasing her.

"If you don't want to tell me, just say," she pouted and crossed her arms.

"When the time comes, you will know everything," he said. "Want to know some good news?"

Her ears perked up when she heard about good news, and her mood changed in an instant. "What is it? Tell me," she asked quickly.

"I am going to become the 4th Hokage," he said.

Her eyes widened for a second, then she processed the news, and before long, she hugged him. "Really?"

He patted her back. "Really," he said and continued, "I am sorry; I know you wanted to become Hokage."

She quickly looked at him and shook her head. "Yes, I wanted to become Hokage, but it doesn't matter now. I am happy for you," she said. It was true; she was really happy for her husband. It didn't matter if she became Hokage or not. Her husband was Hokage, and she was his wife."
